Try this one by Moonsorrow: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqWnipeLpteorac The first track is 30 minutes long. Somewhat proggy too, I'd say. Even if it doesn't have the usual prog "trademarks" like super intricate song structures.

Most of my favorite bands have songs over 10 minutes. Avantasia, Kamelot, Epica, Nightwish.. Some stories are not told in 3 minutes.

Exactly. Moonsorrow has songs that are like 29 minutes long. Sometimes it's a journey.

Finally a band that I recognize. They participated in the national finals for the ESC a few years ago in Germany. The face of the moderator when they casually mentioned the size of the crowds they played in WOA was priceless!

yap, they did it as a promotional stunt for their upcoming album ghostlights. that's 4 years ago now, soon 5. wow.

The Final Sacrifice has always been my favorite song in the Avantasia catalog. I'll always prefer the early Edguy albums though. How can you not love Hansi and Jorn though? Everything they sing is amazing! Luckily I've seen and met all these great singers! I was in line with Hansi at Subway in Atlanta when they were there for their first ProgPower performance. I met Roy Khan, Tobias, and Jorn at ProgPower as well. Seeing Jorn with Ark was just insane!

9:00 I thought I'd comment on this, yes Jorn Lande has a really cool voice, it's sort of raspy in a way and it's rather unique and he's one of my favorite singers because of it. He shows up in a lot of other Avantasia songs too but this one is my favorite. Love the video btw

There are 3 singers in this song: Tobias Sammet from Edguy (who is the leader of the Avantasia project too), Hansi Kursch from Blind Guardian and Jorn Lande from Masterplan :-) You should react to their "the seven angels" .. i think may love that one :-)
