One of my favorites. It's awesome. It shows they can really think outside of the box, it's so unique. If you gonna watch it, use a lyric video. I think the way they used the idea of fast and slow in lyrics vs. music is really fun. It's a conversation between a tortoise and a hare on their different points of view. There's a korean nursery rhyme in there, but you would never guess it from how Changbin delivers it.

Stray Kids do everything from scratch for practically all their songs! They have a producing unit called 3racha consisting of Changbin, Han, and Chan. For 'Hellevator', there's footage of them putting the song together; everything from Bang Chan giving the group several samples to pick from, Han writing lyrics and then footage of them recording. It was the first time we got to see them produce a piece. I found that fascinating. To my untrained ear, 'Lose my breath' just sounded like Stray Kids singing a Charlie Puth song, and not really my thing. I expect once the new album drops in July, LMB will fade into the ether. We can agree. To be honest, we had reservations when we saw the length of the song. It was a bit too traditional US pop radio for us. If people enjoy it, we're happy for them, but this group is capable of much better.

Felix’s voice has me in a chokehold and is the reason I listen to stray kids. I wish he had more solos so I could listen to his voice more it is truly amazing and unique. It has a jazz like quality and sounds so rich like liquid gold so amazing. His range is truly amazing

Stray Kids started with a reality show. Chan hand picked the members and they had to prove to JYP that they were all good enough to debut together. Felix and Lee Know were actually eliminated at one point and weren’t brought back until the end of the show. Definitely recommend watching! Cover Me was written by Hyunjin. If I’m not mistaken it was the first b-side song he has written for the group. If I am mistaken I’m sure someone will be quick to tell me.😂

I personally think Stray Kids have shown and proven they are multitalented in any genre. So what you may consider a bad song is actually really good to many others. It is all down to personal choice at the end of the day. Can we please just give the respect to a group of very talented and gifted guys that have written and produced so much music since pre debut. They have worked their butts off to produce the amount of music they have for us to enjoy. I know you've listened to a lot of their discography already but here's some more recommendations: District 9 (this is their debut track) Miroh Top Line Venom Tortoise and the Hare Muddy Water Maze of Memories And I'll double down on my previous recommendations of outside projects: Changbin "Cypher" Han "I Got It" "Mirror Mirror" by F. Hero and Milli feat. Changbin. F. Hero and Milli are Thai rappers and this is Binnie's best verse to date.

HELLAVATOR You are welcome. It is Pre-debut. They were given a challenge during their survival show to create and showcase a song from scratch. Their recording studio at the beginning was simply a small room, Channies Room, and they used one of those portable sound proofed wrap around the microphone devices. They literally did everything themselves. Their budget wasn't big at all. It was mostly filmed at an abandoned shopping mall. COVER ME touched STAYs hearts. HYUNJIN started to write it on his Forced hiatus and Channie help him to finish it. As itbwas HYUNJINs baby, he was even the main producer and this was huge as SKZ producers are Channie, Han and Changbin. Of course Chan helped him but really Hyunjin has final say when it came to this master piece. I like the new song but i am very aware it has been structured more towards the western audiences. Very much like BTS and TXT have done in the past. They need to catch the attention of the western audience to lure them into the fandom where they will discover just how good the boys are indeed. They debuted in 2018. 6 years later they are still just 23 to 26 years of age. They called Charlie a genius, i believe they stand firm on genius level themselves.

For harmonies in KPop I'd suggest BtoB (Born to Beat). During the Kingdom: Legendary War show Eunkwang of BtoB, Hongjo of Ateez and Seungmin of Stray Kids collaborated on Love Poem. It was arguably the best performance of the entire show. You want harmonies, there it is. Right there.

Mixtape: Oh and Ex are also really good songs that are more mellow. I always recommend Cheese, Charmer, All In, and Get Lit tho bc they are my favorites!

OMG I couldn’t agree more . Long for you and Contradicting are my 2 favs from Hyunjin solos. If you guys check out “ Long for you” , also check out “ Hey you” because he released both songs 2 days apart. He got inspired to write those 2 songs from the movie Closer he watched ( Natalie Portman was the main actress ). And also Hyunjin is such a talented artist he draws very well. He self-taught himself and all of the painting Hyunjin uses as his solo covers are all his art works.

Its kinda surprising Im still here following your reaction to Lose My Breath yesterday 😅. I dont really hate your reaction, it is fair to not liking the song. Me too, think thay Lose My Breath is not really “stray kids” but more to Charlie Puth’s sounds. But being a fan of them for long time, I know that Stray Kids dont stick to just one genre. They’re all kind of genre. So I glad they do the Charlie Puth’s featuring to further testifies that they can do everything. For me the song is great, but not really my cup of tea. But one thing we have to agree without having to like the song is, the boys CAN sing. Put aside the rapping, ALL the boys can sing very very well even the rappers. And for the felix’s part, well, how it works is basically whoever get a shorter line will be compensated with other things such as a dance break or a centre part in the choreography or will be compensated in other songs. Plus Felix always gets the iconic lines. It is good in a way to balance the attention and the balance of popularity through out the group. Another example is, since Bangchan is the main producer of the group, in the more recent songs, his part is less and less because he wants to push other members forward. I’m not sure whether you have listened to easy. But easy is one of my fave song and the dance is one of the best as well. (Old song) I would suggest to watch the MV and the dance practice. Another song that is fire is Hall of Fame (more recent song). But this one has no MV, I would suggest to check out the lyric’s video and the Live performance. The live performance is 🔥 you have to watch it. To have more felix, you can listen to Deep End. But it is not really a hype sonv but it is a perfect song to shows how crazy Felix’s range is. For the vocal effect, we all know the boys can sing. But Bang Chan once talked about adding the effects to their voices, and yes, it is more an artistic decision as he said it add more character to certain songs. So whenever he thinks necessary, he will add effects. Just to add more characters and more fun into it. Oh and talking about fun, if u havent check out Christmas Evel, you should. It is a really fun christmas song, you have to pay more attention to the lyric with this song. And regarding your Cover Me’s comment, I agree with you. The problem with Lose My Breath is, it sounds more like Charlie Puth. But I understand why because Charlie Puth is part of the production team so it is just fair to have his “sound” in it. So whoever doesnt like that kind of genre will not find the song exciting. While Cover Me is all stray kids. Even though it is also a slower song, but it is 100% Stray Kids. It might be not the normal generic universal song like Western Song, but that what makes it different. Because it is Stray Kids. Oh one more, for the lyrics, English is the 1st language for Bang Chan and Felix, Seungmin and Han speaks almost perfect English, and Hyunjin is getting there. So most of the members can speak English, so one of the consideration whenever they make a song is to make the english and the korean lyrics to not clashing too much. Especially they do have certain songs that they have more than 1 version (either japanese version or english version)

I do agree I like the rock version of Rock Star wayyy better than the OG version lol 😂 Also, Cover Me is my fav song in Rock Star album. You can tell it’s Hyunjin vibe. He started it and Chan helped him finished the lyrics. This is the first time a song from another member of SKZ besides 3racha got chosen to be in a skz official album. It’s my most fav B-sides from skz so far. We’re so proud of how each member of skz keeps growing and improving themselves especially in writing and composing skills. You guys definitely should check out the BTS video on how they recorded Cover Me and Megaverse. And the line “ So cover me now” that Seungmin sings, he did it in first try and it was the best that Bang Chan kept it. ❤❤❤ Check the release and playlist part on their KZbin channel. You’ll see a skz-replay that have all their solos and collab songs between members. Plus, their Japanese albums are so good too such as The Sound. Single song name Social Path ft liSA( she’s a famous Japanese artist), and their newest Japanese OST for a game or an anime I don’t remember called WHY( this one released just right before Lose my breath ) and it’s actually better.

and they also released an album called SKZ-Record as a gift for STAY. The album has 8 songs , each member wrote a song and you can tell their personal style and musicality expressed through the song they wrote . Felix “ Deep End” is most of stays fav in that album because of his voice. He surprised us by singing and even layering/adlibs all by himself. I remember in a skz clip or video I forgot where I watched it but apparently Felix finished recording Deep End in an hour.

Just a TMI - You guys commented about the lyrics in english x korean/japanese, Stray Kids has a lot of english lines since Felix and Bang Chan are Australians... Han lived in Malasya, his english has more of a british accent.. Well and when Felix started with the group he was still learning korean, so the guys really put an effort in their english and helped him with Korean... Can I confess something? I though you guys woundn't like Cover Me, it made me happy you guys liked! It was written by Hyunjin, and he asked to Felix use his singing voice not the deep one, and I think it was a pretty good choice since the song is more of a ballad and the lyrics are more profund (we can get a glimpse of Hyunjin's thoughts)

I wasn't sure about you after watching your first reaction to God's menu, but I'm glad you stuck with it and I'm glad I continued to check it out. I don't always necessarily agree with your take but that's the beauty of watching reactors, you're discovering new things about songs you already thought you knew. You're both clearly very knowledgeable about music (if not always about Stray Kids themselves, but you're getting there). You got a sub for me and I'm happy to be part of your SKZ journey. Just to clarify, they write and produce their own music, always. The single song they didn't write at least partly in their discography is All In, which they released in 2020 for the Japanese market and was written by JYP. And while they do work with external producers, the leading producer is always someone from Stray Kids. They're not known in the industry as geniuses for nothing, especially 3racha. They've been writing and producing since their teens, long before Chan formed Stray Kids. Cover me is one of my favorite SKZ songs, it's just so good - Hyunjin's soft vocals leading into that beautiful belt by Seungmin... Hyunjin hasn't made a lot of songs yet, but what he's worked on is excellent, I particularly recommend Red Lights (with Chan) and Taste (with Lee Know and Felix). If you liked that belt check out Stars and Raindrops, it's a Seungmin solo and it's just stunning. Leave is also great, off the same album as cover me and kind of a similar vibe. Some of my other SKZ favorites: * Muddy water * Tortoise and the hare * Circus (Japanese) * Time out * Charmer * Waiting for us I'd also recommend fam, Korean version - it's a cute song but more than that it's kind of a very brief intro to skz and it's over a live performance so you get a bit of that as well. - SLUMP - they wrote / produced this as the outro song for a Japanese anime called Tower of God. - HELLEVATOR - this was a pre-debut song they wrote /produced about the hardships they encountered while they were still training as idols, and how determined they were to achieve their dreams despite the tough times. Before it was released, they actually busked on the streets of Seoul, performing Hellevator as a way to get used to performing in front of crowds. In the street audience were a number of people from the K-pop industry evaluating not only the song but their performance. Afterward, they got some feedback, made some adjustments, and the song / video was released to the public. - COVER ME - this was written mostly by Hyunjin, one of their main dancers. Over the years he's gotten more involved in songwriting and production.

I pretty much have enjoyed all of their songs except like two. Would love to see more reactions to these talented guys. You guys need to listen to THE ROSE if you want to hear great HARMONIES. They all play instruments, they all can sings and the songs are sooo good. Try "Back to Me" or "Sour" to start. Though you can't miss with any of their songs. Woosung (Sammy) the lead singer has one of the best singing voices around today.

hahaha isn't it weird? I did not expect Kazinho to give such high marks on some of them. Totally justifiable though, these songs are great! I remember saying that there is a formula they follow. After our journey of exploring with them, I mean, there are still a lot of songs that sound samesey but they have good variety and they do express themselves amazingly. I would say a lot of their singles/bit hits follow the formula and like we said in another video, they do have other formulas they follow. But remember, we also said the formula is good! Highly, HIGHLY recommend the following songs: ITEM, Collision, Muddy Water, Wolfgang, Changbin's Cypher, Han's 13, I Got It, and Miserable, Any, Domino, and Topline. edit; I forgot to add too that, as a stay, I unfortunately agree with your opinions on Lose My Breath. It's why I'm excited for the remixes - which hopefully will be much better - because judging by the credits, 3Racha had much less influence on the track compared to all their other songs. If you guys are ever up to it, I'd also recommend checking out their live Kingdom performances or MAMA Awards performances (specifically 2022). Hopefully I see more from you guys, I enjoy the honest opinions!

Generally...unpopular/popular opinion the title tracks for Stray Kids are not the best on the album. I love the rock version of Lalalala better too. There's a live of that on the Billboard (British) awards mixed with SClass Slump and Hellavator will always be favs of mine and Cover Me crept in as my top 3 with lalalala rock version Comflex off Rock star

I'm totally still waiting for you to try out some of their more esoteric songs. Not hype, not ballads, just pure Stray Kids. Third Eye and Tortoise and the Hair being the two I think of first. But I'm with others on the love for Side Effects, Chronosaurus, and others also. If you want Pure Felix then you Have to listen to Deep End. It sounds like three different singers but it's ALL Felix. ❤

Just so you know, Lose My Breath has 3 versions. The Puth one, one called Garage ver that's really weird and one with only StrayKids. The skz ver is the best in my opinion as it helds a part with Changbin rapping, so there's that. Also everybody agrees that Felix needs to sing more.

Lose my Breath is to reach into the western market. A ton of people like the very mainstream sound and they are trying to get more people to have a starting point to look more into their discography. I do like LMB but it isn't near the top of my favorites of their songs. Have you listened to cheese? Or anything from 3racha?

Y'all keep talking about how you wish that elements of these songs were in the song with Charlie Puth, but the whole point was to collaborate their styles together. Stray Kids love trying new styles and frankly they avoid making songs sound alike. So the fact that they aren't similar is one of their main focuses.

I feel the same about lmb. It was not a song that did them justice at all, even if they did sound very good while singing it. I always prefer songs with 3racha as the main producers and composers, because they make the music that they like no matter what anyone says. Yes, there are some moments when a song just doesn't hit, but seeing that experimentation in real time somehow makes me value their music more. I won't be listening to lmb again anyway, bc of my personal beliefs in puth's participation.
