In 2023 Stray Kids was booked to perform at Global Citizens Festival in Central Park but there was a car accident that kept all the members from being available to perform. Rather than cancel their appearance 3racha members decided that they would perform instead. They performed 3 songs in the pouring rain and that did nothing to dampen their energy. I think they performed Heyday, 3racha and a version of Stray Kids Topline. It’s a pretty amazing performance.

Fun fact: The "Kia Rite" and "A, upane" are actually Maori and are a reference to Haka. Bang Chan being from Australia drew a lot of inspiration from neighboring New Zealand's traditional Haka and even included some of the moves into the choreo for their song Miroh. *edited to add check out Tortoise and the Hare for one of Stray Kids more experimental rap songs and Muddy Water is another great track that gives off old school rap vibes.

I think you are right that Deep End was a showcase for felix. It's important to also know that it was a solo project. He wrote the lyrics and then looked for someone in the company to help compose/produce it. The person he worked with was also blown away by his potential. This song is actually quite beloved amongst STAY, felix made himself very vulnerable in releasing it, as he has always lacked confidence in his highest register. If you had called it trash, i don't think i would have ever gotten over it😂. There are other songs that actually show his falsetto in a much more fleshed out way (i.e. Taste). Another layer to think about is that felix has always been the happy, loving sunshine of SKZ, and the lyrics actually scared/worried fans bc we didn't realize he had been carrying those emotions around. I was really pleasantly surprised to see you guys do these deeper dives into SKZ. I also really appreciate your ability to keep looking at/revisit your former opinions/judgements. I want to say ty❤. Also, this made me decide to sub.

*Again, a reminder that Stray Kids have a pretty big hand in the production, lyrics and arrangement of most of their music!* I don’t know much about kpop, but as a fan of Skz, I'm so grateful that we DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT until the boys break-up to get solo work! Either with outside producers (I believe Felix worked with another producer for Deep End, lyrics are his) or with our own 3Racha, the members have the "freedom" to ask for a track, write their lyrics, and release their own music. All members have solo songs now. Bang Chan (Channie because he's the cutest 26yr old I've ever seen!) has a hand in alot of the arrangement, with even the other 3Racha boys coming to him for tracks. Channie has this laptop... the ✨️Holy Grail✨️ we Stay call it.. where he works on individual member songs as well as group projects while doing other schedules etc. Skz has this content on their KZbin channel called Skz Talker that chronicles the behind the scenes of concerts, events, etc and Channie can be seen working in the background. Ok song recs!! Binnie (Changbin) is my bias so I recommend "Streetlight" LYRICS VIDEO PLS!! I know y'all said it doesn't really matter to gage flow, tone, diction, but Bin wrote these lyrics himself with a very personal message that resonates both with many of the members and with Stay as well. "Cypher" As mentioned, 3Racha was a rap group while trainees and they were creating music even back then. Changbin's "Cypher" contains whispers of future group songs and lyrics as Changbin is the source of many song lyrics. "Doodle" showcases Changbin's unique style righ/from the first taste of the track. Also recommend "Muddy Water", "The Tortoise and the Hare", "Maze of Memories"!

SKZ- RECORD is a side project from the members of SKZ where they write their own songs and help with the producing of the tracks... (sometimes with help of 3Racha members) 3Racha was a subunit before SKZ debut and Bangchan is in charge of almost all of the SKZ beats and arragnements... Han and Changbin write most of the tracks sometimes with help of the other members. For SKZ-RECORD they already bring out 2 digital albums, and the last one was an A-side with 2 group songs and 8 solo songs (written by the members themself) and a B-side with a lot of earlyer released SKZ-RECORD SONGS. If you want more singing of some members you need to watch BECAUSE with Changbin and FELIX and PIECE OF A PUZZLE with CHANGBIN and SEUNGMIN. Those are amazing vocally songs... Because you love Han, I would recommend you to listen to HAN- ALIEN (with lyrics or the fanmade video animation by RIEL020) HAN-CLOSE Han - VOLCANO On a lot of SKZ albums they put some unit songs in to let the members have more time to shine in different ways. GONE AWAY - Han Seungmin I.N. (my fave) Red Lights - Bangchan Hyunjin Surfin - Felix Lee Know Changbin (really funny) But also imho a few of the best unit songs: 3RACHA - 3Racha DanceRACHA - TASTE VocalRACHA - Cant Stop Muddy water - felix HAN Changbin Hyunjin Waiting for us - Seungmin I.N. Bangchan Lee Know but for some liveconcerts they did switch those songs up to have the vocal line doe the rap song and vice-versa... So Funny to see... for other SKZ -GROUP recommendations: SCARS (japanese track) Superbowl (ENGLISH original version not the japanese with clip) Superboard Battleground Mixtape:OH SOCIAL PATH (ft lisa (japanese singer)) TOP (opening for the webtoon TOWER OF GOD) SLUMP (ending creditsong for the webtoon TOWER OF GOD) ALL-IN (japanese track) TORTOISE AND THE HARE (really experimental rap song) Hope you have enough recommendations in this post ;) they already released over 170 songs so you have some stuff to catch up to... And offcourse for DECEMBER their CHRISTMAS EVEL ALBUM!!! Love the content and honest opinions!!! Greats a Stay from the Netherlands!

Two of the most recent 3Racha songs are "3Racha" and "Heyday" which they wrote to be used in a show about competing dancing teams. One of my favorite older songs is "We Go" also by 3Racha. Han has the most solo songs. The members joke that he doesn't let a single track that Bang Chan gives him go to waste. Both Bang Chan and Han have being compulsive about creating in common. One of the best Han songs, IMO, is Volcano. There are two SKZ Replay tabs on their KZbin channel. There is the one under the albums which are 25 songs they release on a digital album, and then there is the SKZ Replay tab that has more recent solo and unit songs so far only available on their KZbin channel. We are all anxiously waiting for them to be available on other platforms.

The label gives Stray kids free creative license to do whatever they want. The write and produce their own stuff themselves. They started out as an experimental group that was not supposed to succeed. Bang Chan hand picked all the members personally, that is why he is so protective and they work. They are the only kpop group to ever do this. 6 years down the road, they are a world wide force with fandom to match. It is cool how they want to blurr the lines in music and incorporate every genre. They are just collecting awards and showing their accomplishments all time, quite a feat considering they are ages 23 to 26. I think they have a lot more to unveil and have a 40 city US tour this year

Stray Kids: A Unique Journey in K-Pop Stray Kids, a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment, stands out in the K-pop industry not just for their music, but also for their unique formation process and creative direction. Unlike many other K-pop groups, the members of Stray Kids were personally selected by the group's leader, Bang Chan, without the direct interference of the company. Bang Chan's Selection of Members: Bang Chan, an Australian-Korean trainee under JYP Entertainment for seven years, was entrusted with the rare opportunity to form his own group. This process was documented through the reality show "Stray Kids," where Bang Chan's leadership and vision were on full display. He chose members based on their skills, chemistry, and potential to contribute to the group's dynamic. The final lineup included: Woojin (who later left the group) Lee Know Changbin Hyunjin Han Felix Seungmin I.N Bang Chan's selections were driven by a desire to create a versatile group capable of excelling in various musical styles and performance aspects. The UnitesStray Kids are divided into three primary units, each focusing on different strengths within the group: 3RACHA: This unit consists of Bang Chan (CB97), Changbin (SPEARB), and Han (J.ONE). 3RACHA is known for its songwriting and producing prowess, having composed and produced much of Stray Kids' music. Their tracks often feature complex lyrics and innovative compositions, showcasing their musical talents beyond performance. Danceracha: This unit includes Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix, who are renowned for their exceptional dance skills. Danceracha focuses on delivering powerful and intricate choreography, which is a significant aspect of Stray Kids' stage performances. Their synchronization and stage presence are key highlights of the group's live shows. Vocalracha: Comprised of Seungmin and I.N, this unit highlights the vocal abilities within the group. Vocalracha is responsible for delivering the emotive and melodic aspects of Stray Kids' music, balancing the group's overall sound with their vocal strength and harmonization. "God's Menu" and a New Musical Genre One of Stray Kids' most significant milestones was the release of "God's Menu" in 2020. The song marked a pivotal moment in the group's career, blending diverse musical elements that defied conventional genres. Its unique sound, characterized by dynamic beats, powerful rap, and catchy hooks, led to the coining of a new genre term: "mala taste genre." This term reflects the spicy, addictive quality of their music, much like the popular Chinese dish, mala. "God's Menu" showcased Stray Kids' ability to innovate within the K-pop landscape, establishing them as trendsetters. The song's success also highlighted their international appeal, gaining them a wider global audience and cementing their status as a leading group in the industry.

"Rapping off each other..." That would be: -- BinSung 2RACHA in "Carpe Diem" (finishing each other's sentences). The track (like virtually all 3RACHA tracks) was made by Chris, whom they even include in this performance by referencing him as the track-maker/DJ in the lyrics. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4rXnqlonaaDmck -- Binsung 2RACHA in the "Loud" cover of "Back Door" (finishing each other's *words* in mid-speech). This was them featuring as guest mentors in a trainee group's competition show where the trainees were performing a remix of SKZ's song "Back Door," so 3 RACHA comes in at about 1:30 and aren't the main artists. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5nFY5ppidacgJo Here's a compilation of some highlight BinSung moments. It's only updated through about mid-2021, so a lot of great stuff has happened since then. But it's still very worth watching. (Since Han and Bin are the two more focused on lyrics and rapping, while Chris is the beat-maker, most 2RACHA exchanges feature Changbin and Han ["BinSung"] on a Chris track.) kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXiQYqOXrNWoZsU This stage from the concert tour is a good demo of live BinSung: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3yuXoydq8eUm80 Just as a reminder that Han and Changbin are all-around gifted, this is the performances each of them gave when SKZ flexed by sending their _rappers_ to a _singing_ competition years ago (before Han pursued vocal lessons to sculpt his natural talent and long after Binnie shifted his short-lived focus from vocal training to rap): kzbin.info/www/bejne/mniqkHt3qLyaock Also Han's appearance on the vocal-centric Lee Mujin Service: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXacc5mfnrKGqLc

3Racha put out tracks on Soundcloud before Stray Kids was formed. There are some real treasures from that era. There is an actual 3Racha KZbin channel as well, but some tracks were deleted when Stray Kids formed.

For Zone there is a newer version of the song on the Skz Replay album (mostly solo/subunit songs), so maybe you want to listen to it as well, but its not that different to be in another video ig Also, you should listen to Muddy Water by Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix and Topline by Stray Kids feat. Tiger JK.

If your going to dive into sub units songs I would recomend Heyday by 3racha, Taste by danceracha and Cant stop by vocalracha. AS for the individual members: Lee Know - Limbo, Bang Chan - Connected, Chanbin - DOODLE, Hyunjin - Partys over, Seungmins - HERE ALWAYS( thats kdrama ost actually), I.N - "막내온탑" (Feat. Bang Chan, Changbin) and Han - Volcano. Also If you would like to checked out some of their live perfomances Stray Kids 위인전 Hall of Fame | Golden Disc Awards 2024 Jakarta,\ and last one is dance practise Domino. Hope you can get more into skz and also enjoy it.

Han and Changbin are geniuses at word play, especially switching between English and Korean. For example, I got it, sounds the same as a Korean phrase that is a less than polite way of telling you to shut your mouth. Most of their songs are full of word play and references to the Korean culture. Korean Stays are always nice enough to explain these to us, which just enhances our enjoyment of the songs. My favourite of their live performances are Carpe Diem (Han and Changbin kzbin.info/www/bejne/rH_JnH5nard2b9k ), We Go ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4aoqIuKjpySetE ) Matroshika ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJm2nIyZZdWebbc ) and Scissors ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKHRq4mZp7d-gJo ). There is a compilation of Han and Changbin rapping together kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXiQYqOXrNWoZsU You might enjoy Maze of Memories, as this is all of them rapping. ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYrZenyOqbitndE ) There is also a 3Racha version of it. ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4Gop5htl9Nqe7s ) My favourite 3Racha is probably Hey Day kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4HSdKOLp7-fY5I

They wouldn't need to leave the band to go solo. It's very common in Kpop for artists in groups to debut as soloists and stay in the group. In fact we expect it. Mayhaps after contract renewals next year.

If you like to see more of skz solo stuff you could listen to "13" or "Volcano" from HAN, "Cypher" or "Streetlight" from Changbin, "인정하기 싫어" or "Eternity" from Bang Chan or some of the units songs in the albums are amazing like "Moody Water" and "Waiting for Us". Love the reactions I really like that you say what you think with respect to the boys

You really don't need a breakup to get non-group songs. They do plenty. They are very supportive of each member doing their thing. You should find something by any single or combo of members you would like. And the member/s that make the subunit song are as heavily involved as they are in the group ones.

if you want more han (cuz hes honestly just the ace as we call him, he is so much more than just a rapper) i recommend run, close, HaPpY and volcano (the best one imo), which are all solo songs and maybe you could react to their cover of "ill be your man" which they performed for kingdom because DAMN (youll get it once you listen to it but Han in this is UGH) Cant think of any more rn but ill add more if i think of them :) oh yeah and han most of the time writes and produces all of his solos if im not mistaken!! We got some behind the scenes of him writing lyrics and much more which is rlly interesting + im pretty sure others told u but yeah the 3racha song was zone, but they also have a song called 3racha which is trap style or something im not too sure

~Okay, I know you guys said that you didn't want it if it was gonna be short but it's just that one song all Stay's wish was like 10 minutes long, the holly grail of Stray Kid's abilities that show they can all rap, the song is called Maze of Memories and look it up with the lyrics because it definitely makes it easier to tell who's who. After that check out 3racha songs called: ~3racha (yes they literally have a song called 3racha), ~Broken Compass (there is a version that was remixed, which the whole group worked together to remix it for all of them to get parts in it, but the song is just, wow, incredible on it's own with just those 3 and they just killed it. so many people love their other songs so much and have their specific favorites, for me this song is my most favorite because of the fact that they wrote it, and composed it, just like about 99% of other songs yes, but what sets this song apart for me the most is the lyrics, the song itself, and just the overall mood and way you can just, feel what they're feeling, I recommend listening to it first and then please read through the lyrics. If you can manage to do both at the same time I applaud you but normally it's pretty hard to do that in general because it takes away from the experience. So I encourage you to listen to it first and then read the lyrics, even though Changbin is my bias it's always Chan's part in this song that just gives me goosebumps every damn time I hear it. After listening to it maybe you can listening to the Stray Kids version called: {[ Mixtape 4 street version ]}), ~Matryoshka (classic 3racha song, one of Changbin bias' classic favorites, you'll see why.), ~Double Knot (both the 3racha version and the Stray Kids version which has an MV, listen to the 3racha version first), and ~Start Line
@zobianaseem39806 ай бұрын
i really really recommend 3racha (the song name is 3racha 😁) heyday, pace, runner's high, matryoshka, we go, start line ( start line actually 6 years old song please give it a try) by 3racha maze of memories by stray kids almost everyone raps in it (changbin raps in it is verrrrrrrrrrry good) streetlight , cypher, fly high and doodle by changbin there is a song called "because i like you" by changbin and felix i hope you like these songs

They're all so talented and hard working. One of the reasons I love the group is because 3Racha is the production subunit - they write the lyrics and compose/arrange the music for the majority of their songs. As for more songs, for 3Racha you should check out the more recent "Zone", "Heyday", and "3RACHA". Han has written and performed TONS of solo songs, but "Volcano" is one of my favorites. Honestly I hope they never ever break up *knock on wood* BUT I think that even if they did, 3Racha would stay together. They were releasing songs online before SKZ even debuted.

well about han i prefer "alien" or "volcano" but now you start with sub units, 3racha producers/rapers line, you can hear "hey day" or "3racha" and others, danceracha dancers line and you can hear "taste" and vocalracha vocal line you can hear "can't stop"

Hello! i'm glad you enjoy their music! SKZ-PLAYER it's part of their unofficial discography along with SKZ-RECORD. basically the members upload randomly self composed songs and covers. especially Han. All of SK-PLAYER songs released 2020-22 were included on their digital album 'SKZ REPLAY', making them available on streaming platforms for the first time. i love when they upload songs as gifts when we don't expect it!

one of the better parts about kpop groups is that they can do their solo stuff without the band breaking up unlike how American boybands operate lol(admittedly it usually takes a few years. doesnt happen until the group's found their groove.)

Just for fun, check out Carpe Diem. It's a Changbin - Han duo. Very short and was performed live. (No m/v no records, just that one performance for a vlive event) More Han? Maybe try Volcano? Han said something in the line of 'his most treasured song'.

DEEP END was written by Felix in conjunction with JYP producer, SIM EUN JEE. She also produced this song and works primarily with the girl group TWICE. I GOT IT was released after CHANGBIN was on Show Me The Money and was basically told exactly what you had assumed. He's not a real rapper, he's just a K-pop idol. Many Idols are told this, many show them how its done. My favourite rapper outside of the boys is Bobby from IKON. At just 28 he is at the top. Please keep in mind HAN was only 21 when he gave us this slap back track. I would suggest trying SCISSOR, it's an unreleased song and showcase his fastest rap at 9.63sps Then i would recommend MISERABLE you and I to highlight his capabilities more. ZONE actually highlighted 3 languages. Channie also highlited MAORI with Kai rite A upane 3RACHA was originally an underground RAP group, songs?..... HEY DAY, WE GO, 3RACHA and a collab with Japanese rapper SKI-HI.... Just Breathe. SKZ have a song Mirror where all members RAP.

Tysm, you just reacted to 3 of my favourites songs 😍😍😍😍 they all are amazing in his own way, Felix's range is insane and he sure knows how to do a song, we are still waiting for another solo but is amazing to have him in the group songs bringing his uniqueness ❤ ...there is always a kind of "discution" ( not really hihi) in the fandom about who rap the best in straykids if is Han or Changbin and I truly believe they both are equally good is just a matter of preference, Han is one of the fastest rappers I've ever heard and he not just bring speed he brings emotion with his interpretation, and Changbin is insane in the way he can change his speed in the middle of a phrase, he can rap 15 styles in 30 seconds, he can speed it up and change rithm, to me that's so amazing and unique, fun fact ( don't know if you know yet) the official rap line in skz are Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix, and to me they are kind of divided like this, for speed and interpretation there is Han and Hyunjin and for changing tempo in a song or introducing a new melody, and for uniqueness, there is Changbin and Felix 🎉🎉🎉🎉 we don't have a miss in straykids because as you have heard our leader Bangchan he can rap amazing too but also sing beautifully. .that aside he being the main producer and songwriter (along with 3racha) of almost 100% of the songs of the group...he is insanitely talented and you can say this about every member, they all have at least 19 songs registered each, they dance, sing and rap ... they are amazing I love them so much.. sorry for the long message but I got excited from your respectful and nice analysis/opinio/reaction to skz I hope to see more in the future, I truly appreciate 💗 💖

I'm glad you appreciated "I Got It" on its flow/cadence/tone merits. It deserves that. But fwiw, the lyrics are particularly important in this song. SKZ are brilliant lyricists and wordplay masters, and Han is one of those in the lead of that strength. There's a reason he and Changbin communicate in wordplay, a reason Han is one of the best freestylers in the business, and a reason he spent his entire training period (years) passing his monthly evaluations with freestyles that the bosses never caught on to. This is a diss track, straight up. So lines like "Why do you keep calling me" aren't really in reference to people annoying him by calling him when he's busy, but rather are a response to the constant insults and hate -- people literally calling out his and SKZ's names -- they were getting (still get) at the time he spat this out and released when he did. "Why bother talking at me? You're just a meaningless annoyance in your anonymous little internet world while I'm out here making the music you obsessively hate-stream." This song, especially the timing of its drop, was a very obvious response to sh1t that was happening at the time, much of which involved MAMA's bullsh1t disrespect. (The nearby timing of the content and release of Bin's Cypher was a subtler response, but Han -- especially younger Han -- was not known for his subtlety when p1ssed off.) So you're right that the track and production didn't much matter to him. He took whatever track Chris had on hand in the Holy Grail laptop and then spat out his justifiable upset to get his words out. The words were what mattered in that situation. SKZ were being openly disrespected, and Han was clapping back fast. There's an enormous amount of wordplay and Korean-specific context that's lost in translation, unfortunately. It took a Korean speaker about 50 minutes to break down and contextualize all the wordplay and layered meanings in a video. But basically some blatant industry disrespect and another uptick in antis spouting their tired BS resulted in Han firing back with a very pointed diss track. Including a title and refrain that's rude and unairable enough that he and Chris had to use bilingual wordplay to explain it past the company's censorship. If you listen close, you can tell that English-speaking Han is in no way attempting to actually say "I got it"; he's 100% saying "agari"/"아가리" -- which is a tactic Chris used later to get away with saying "sh1t" in a live broadcast, disguising it as basically the one supposed Korean word (쉿, sounds halfway between "sh1t" and "shwit") in an all-English rap. They use their multilingual skills to make wordplay work for them, including getting away with releasing an overt diss track realistically called "Shut Your F*cking Mouth" (contextually, that's the general meaning of "agari"/"아가리") during a fraught period of industry snubbing and anti BS.

The label actually doesn’t have that much say in the music they put out. They are primarily self-produced/written and do get other producers and composers on the track most times though. The labels input is usually just for to suggest or approve the concepts they want to do for each album and what songs are to be included. JYP (the former CEO and primary producer/artist for their company) will be a big part of that decision process and one time even offered them a track and said that he was scared they would reject it (which they and any other group he presents his songs to are welcome to do) Their b-sides really are where you can see more of their versatility especially as more and more members produce and write songs for either the whole group, a few members, or just themselves. The songs you reacted to here are all apart of their “skz-replay” album which is a compilation album made just for the fans with 8 new tracks that are solo songs for each member and 17 tracks that had been previously released over the years only on youtube and not officially. The songs they release on just their youtube channel are sincerely just songs that they want to make and share. They’ve actually mentioned that they have a lot of songs in the works and often times will have a stockpile of them that they would just sort through and discard some that they think are outdated or smthn. Those songs are very different from the stuff they release as a group most of the time too and are also, in a way, a chance to showcase their talents. They also have official releases of unit songs. They’ve done songs as the official rap/producer unit 3racha, the unofficial “danceracha”, and the unofficial “vocalracha” along with units that split the 8 members in half as the rap group and the vocal group. Thanks for continuing to react to skz and sorry this is so long!! 🙏😅
