This is much more useful review than Tony's demo/review of the same keyboard for Full Compass, because this goes over the features / specs / accessories and shows how the interface works. The MOX features are familiar from the old (1990s?) Yamaha PSR-500 I'm looking to replace. The ease of use would appear to have taken a step backward thanks to too much reliance on that LCD screen, but some of the computer integration looks useful.

great and simple demo.. Does the keyboard offer a heavier action towards the bottom and a lighter action towards the top of the keys? like in a real acoustic piano?

@9manav Thanks for your interest in Kraft Music and the Yamaha MOX8. The MOX8 does feature Yamaha's Graded Hammer Standard action, which does simulate an acoustic piano keybed. The lower keys are heavier and get progressively lighter as you move up the keyboard. Hi. Does the mox6 have aftertouch? I've heard different answers to this question and would like a definitive one. If not [that's a shame!...] - what would you recommend - I'm looking for a midi controller but one that also has good sounds for a complete live performance , in the 1000-1300$ range. Thanks!

I'm considering the MOX or Korg M50-73. The problem is that I can't decide on which one would be best because I don't live near any music stores and can't try them out side-by-side. The MOX seems to have a lot of helpful performance / composition / recording features that might make it a better deal for my music, which is solo original one-man-rock-band so built in accompaniment and performances along with ease of use in making up a song are very useful to me. Any help with a decision?

Hi great video! I am looking for another keyboard for my home studio and right now i can't decide between MOX6, Roland Juno Gi and Gaia SH01. I know they are all different but those synth that i like and they are not that expensive. Not really worried about midi functions. Just want a good synth in $500-1300 price range that i can move around if i need to because other gear that i use is stationary and kind of heavy. Anyway if anyone has any suggestions i would really appreciate it. Thanks.

to tell you the truth, I tried this out in Guitar Center and though I love the motif line, I didn't like the menu system at all. In a live application, switching between sounds seems difficult. The old MO6 seems allot easier.
