Thanks god FINALLY! Finally someone shows some of the things I really am interested, I hate see those same instruments (those vintage, analogue and over synthy pads or leads) and stuff gone through in every damn demo. Those flutes, that electric guitar performance thing, big string + perc patches and stuff, that is what I wanna hear. Thanks for this demo and keep making this type of demos, excellent job!

Hi With the MOX you can only play MIDI files via the USB..... You can't load samples in to the synth - that is possible on the Motif XF - but you can play back audio from your mp3 player via the audio inputs on the back left. This is great if you want to play along to a pre recorded backing.

Hi - Recording audio to DAW is great with the MOX as it has a 4 channel usb audio interface built in, so one usb cable gives you 4 channels on your daw ( left and right line input and 2 channel stereo track from the mox sound engine) So in answer to your question, just set up your sequencer to record on input 3&4 which is the mox stereo out and play away.......

With regards to editing, there are several great iPad apps to enable you to get right into the synth engine, create playlists, performance controls and drum pads.

Hi - Mic input for vocoder? Yep, there are 4 dedicated patches for the vocoder as well pianos? the main grand piano is an 8 element, velocity switching grand piano and is a joy to play! Spilts and layers are performed as easily as just hitting the relevant button. As soon as you hit spilt, you get a bass part added in by default which is easily changed and it creates a new performance automatically. Same with Layer, and adding drums 8 assignable knobs on the right for editing!

it might not be high enough output to trigger the vocoder - have you tried it with a standard mic to check that it's not a settings issue?

Nice demo! When it time to record the audio to a computer DAW what are the options available? Can you export to a flash drive like the Motif XF? or you have to use a USB cable to record 1 track at the time to Cubase for exemple... thanks

Motif has more insert FX per sound allowing for richer patches, twice the polyphony and more durable metal chassis - still the pro's choice :)

Hi - you have a master mode so you can save a combination of songs, sequences, performances and voices in one main bank, as well as a large user area for saving edited voices and performances :)

I prefer the sounds and performance features on the motif keyboards but prefer the interface on the korg range such as the M50, Krome and Kronos. Its a shame Yamaha can't follow suit with the interface on their mid range synths, that would make them simply awesome workstations.

This synth is only good when you use it as a multitimbre sound module with a external sequencer. Other than that trying to do everything on just the MOX6 would be not as easy on a full workstation with a larger screen.

at 7.57 you hear it run out of polyfony. Not good......No with pads or big strings and a sustain pedal. You will have a problem when hitting cords.

I use the previous model: MO6... In my opinion MOX after 7 years (mo6 was produce in 2005) not shocking. IN 2005 it will be most futured synthesizer.. In 2012 6 4voice polyphony is too small, for children mox unusable...

Alot of these keyboards are crap!! You have to spend real money to get pro quality...
