For me their very best live appearence ever. Not musically but visually, good view on what they are doing. This was the real Kraftwerk, four youngsters with one vision bringing in their different talents to "build a monster".

I remember watching this as a child , very young, rock was king , and I thought computers made this , no windows, apple, basic all the way , it just changed me for the 80 synth, my dad very dismissive, but we love tomorrow's world

Yes, this was shon on 16mm film as it was the standard for documentary & news coverage in the 70s. Especially in exterrior or non-studio conditions without stationary TV cameras. Something that changed in the mid & late 80s with the advent of portable videotape machines and shouldermounted Videocameras with tape drive (Like the Betacam SP format).

Kraftwerk co-founder Florian Schneider has died at the age of 73. His fellow band member Ralf Huetter confirmed that Schneider "has passed away from a short cancer disease just a few days after his 73rd birthday." In his statement, Huetter hailed his bandmate as "his friend and companion over many decades." Schneider and Huetter founded Kraftwerk in Dusseldorf in 1970 and the band, known for tracks like Autobahn and The Model, was instrumental in the 'krautrock' movement.

Can you see how much is happening here with a "minimum of fuss", as the narrator says? Compare that to a modern DJ oder "electronic musician", acting like crazy and twiddling knobs non-stop with hardly any detectable difference.
