I solo hiked across all of the islands in late summer of 2022, the sunrise from the campground at 3:57 is one of the most stunning sights I've experienced. Not to mention the cat that lives there that eats with its hands ❤

Lived there for almost 4 years. Did the same before cameras were what they are. Spent time all over Sao Miguel and Terceira. I always wonder if the old hotel is still above the crater on SM.

the old hotel (its ruins) still exist. But to be exact, the island is called São Miguel, Ponta Delgada is the name of the capital

Kraig, this is the first video I've seen of you and your KZbin channel as suggested by KZbin and I must say, wow! I really appreciate content creators/vloggers like you who really learn their craft, videoing, traveling, editing, etc. I know it must take a lot of work to make those drone shots of you overhead looking over a valley, walking past a camera down a trail as though a trustful companion is walking behind you to make that shot, the colors, the food eat up close. Those shots are impressive also. In this video, no talking just some of the most beautiful, colorful places, Azores. I don't even know where Azores is located. 🤫 I've subscribed already because I know I'm going to binge watch your past vlogs. I live and born and raised in Washington, DC and hope and will, travel to places I fantasize of traveling to. Only been on a airplane once from Washington, DC to New York and this was when I was a kid with my mother and older brother. My dear brother Harmen, as a strict follower of yours, I think you are a very, very good man, even though I never hear your voice. as nature lover and a walker, I watch all your videos with pleasure, I am grateful to you for these beautiful shares. You take me to the ends of the world while watching you. In my country, in the city of Rize in Turkey, there are countless routes in the Kaçkar Mountains that you should see. Since the Kaçkar Mountains are a remnant of the ice age, there are great routes without people at approximately 3000-4000 meters. I strongly recommend that you plan a very nice route of 100-150 miles in length where you will take quality shots. Even though I have never heard your voice, I wanted to do you a favor by recommending this route because I thought you were a very good man😊

I was lucky enough to hike across the islands in 2022, there's really very few tourists in fact I only ran into two other hikers travelling as a couple on Flores, and ironically the locals hate being referred to as Portuguese and don't consider themselves such

I just returned 4 days ago from a hiking trip to Santa Maria. There were 6 of us and we hiked the Grande Rota Santa Maria. There is a hut to hut hike run by Ilha a Pe. A great way to see the island. Beautiful hike!
