Even the engine was too exhausted at the very end of this video.

amazing how often quiet openings have turned into very complicated middlegames or endgames during this candidates.

pukulu its somewhat paradoxical but quiet openings do tend to retain more pieces and pawn breaks which does mean there is greater potential for later explosions especially when everyone is as creative and powerful as these players.

Love Peter's commentary but an ad every 5minutes really breaks the flow...

Am I the only one whose stomach gets turned listening to the unbearably sanctimonious, arrogant-for-no-reason commentary of the 'Gustafsson-Carlsen-Giri' generation? Nothing against your stylish geeks with their Karen-the-liberated-air-head-McDougal companions if I'm not forced into their company just to follow a game; I mean, just following a game is hard enough without that. Ah well, I guess it's still at least 20 more years of this before class and decorum is 'in' again. Hang in their Vladimir and Vishi, civilization depends on you sticking it out until we bridge the gap to the next generation: a serious neo-Kasparov revival I hope. I might even be able to bear these facile human abacus's if they occasionally gave us a little Tal, Fischer, Smyslov for crissake instead of just another crap opening followed by a marathon who's-paint-dries-first....

Michael St. Hill I have never read a response more sanctimonious in my life. You deserve some sort of award.

See what I mean? A minimum of originality FFS, Diary: 'sanctimonious' is my word.
