L2theW Repeat after me. I am addicted to New RC Car smell. OMG that Kraton 8S BLX EXB is a Giant. My back hurts just thinking about loading one into my Van. Not surprised the bolts were loose on this one, These days more and more stuff seems to have loose hardware brand new. Good video and good catch on the front struts. I would go over the whole RC carefully before running it incase there is more loose hardware unseen.

Thank you funny thing is they are as tight as you can get it. I thought I mentioned it maybe its in the next video I always go through and check all the screws then run a battery through them to break everything in before I go full speed. Lol yeah its a heavy beast

Either the Kraton 8s or the Outcast 8s are next on my list on RC’s to buy. A good friend of mine just talked to someone who buys Hot Wheels from him and the same guy said he just shut down his RC store. So the guy has a whole storage container filled with new RC cars and some lightly used ones. He said he has mostly Redcat and Traxxas and we can buy anything he has for the price he paid on the new ones. We are going to take a look at them next weekend. If they are in the condition he said we will probably take them all and sell the rest for him because he just want’s a small percentage. I’ll keep you updated and let you now hat he has.

My outcast 8S has a lot of play in the front suspension too. Looks to be in the upper arm suspension mount. Perhaps it could use some shimming. I'll be doing some upgrades anyway in that area so I will be giving it a closer look.

Its strange I have the 8S Outcast as well and my front is way tighter than this

@@L2theWcarscoffeelife Maybe just tightening the 5X74 hinge pin will help...I haven't gotten into it yet, though I noticed one side has less play than the other. I've been busy playing with trains LOL, but maybe I'll get a round of wrenching in this weekend on the Outcast. I finished all my upgrades on the back end of the truck last week, now it is time to pull off the front end and work through that.

@@L2theWcarscoffeelife I have a Hot Racing "Aluminum Upper Arm Mount Steering Brace" that I'm installing there (ha ha, because I think it will look nice...do I really need any other reason?) so perhaps that might lock it in better.

When I get mine (Next Few Weeks), will slowly buy M2S upgrades, and possible servo. Can't afford to do it all at 1 time. This hobby is brutal on bank account.

My new kraton 4s v2.5, right out of the box has the same movement in the front end!😢

I have that rc as well and there will be some play its in all rc cars it actually helps with durability. If you have a lot you might look at the pillow balls they do work loose you might have to snug that down a little bit. If there is something else contact Horizon hobby about it you have a 2 year warranty.

I’m dealing with similar issues on my new 6s. I have screws that are stripped out. My servos messed up. Waiting to hear back from arrma…. We will see.

I have always had good luck with them fixing anything so hopefully you shouldn't have a problem just sucks it happened they should get you fixed up

Just run it stock and then tune it how you like it ,but saying that there are lots of tips out there, take what you need and run with it 😂😂
