I'm also pretty sure the wolves that attacked Kratos were those three as well. In said novelisation, when Kratos sees the Jotunn carving of Skol and Hati, he remarks that they're familiar, but they can't have been as big then. Combining this with Fenrir being the son of Loki and Thor's fight with the world serpent shaking Yggdrasil so much it splinters and Jormungandr is sent back to the beginning of the world, it's entirely possible. Mimir even references the weirdness of time travel in the game
@ethanhogan24634 жыл бұрын
@@seanthebluesheep I prefer to think they were children or descendants of Fenrir. Or smaller, weaker avatars of the three. But knowing Kratos's scuffed history, it could very well have been three of the most powerful beings in mythology and he just didn't remark them as that insane
@CH4NG3L1NGCGF4 жыл бұрын
Fenrir is actually a literal portent of the apocalypse, the end of everything. He will survive anything, can kill anything and will exist until existence itself ceases. He is the wolf at the world’s end, the living embodiment of ragnaroks beginning. A lot of fiction seriously underpower him considering he is connected to the root of all existence by being an endbringer.
@RelativelyBest4 жыл бұрын
@@CH4NG3L1NGCGF Actually, Fenrir was to be slain by Víðarr, one of Odin's lesser known sons, after Fenrir devoured Odin. Appropriate considering Víðarr was considered a god of vengeance. It's true that Fenrir breaking lose from gleipnir signaled the start of Ragnarok, but the same applies to other events around the same time, and he really wasn't that important in the grand scheme of things. I assume he's regarded as synonymous with Ragnarok because he's pretty much the coolest of Loki's children. A more appropriate personification of the end times would be Surtr, who had apparently existed since before the gods and the creation of the world, and had just been sitting around waiting for the time when he finally got to set all of reality on fire. As far as I know the mythology features no mentions of Surtr actually dying. (Frey was supposed to fight him but had traded his awesome magic sword away out of love, and as such had no appropriate weapon to counter Surtr's ridiculously overpowered Flaming Sword of Universal Destruction.)

Well, apparently we don't know for sure if Skoll and Hati really were the children of Fenrir - that's a common assumption where there is just very little to go on with those two. Anyway, for as well researched as it is, the game really makes a mess of the myths considering Tyr is already dead when it starts - long before Atreus/Loki could possibly father Fenrir. In fact, Tyr wasn't supposed to die until fighting Garm in Ragnarok, some time after Baldur's death. So it's kinda anyone's guess how it's all supposed to make sense.

@@RelativelyBest there may not be a lot of blood in KH but Sora does kill his enemies. In the beginning of KH2 Sora basically brags how he killed maleficent. Nobodies are the exact same as another human being(they even regrow their hearts eventually) so killing most of organization 13 should count(some should even count twice). And then there's the two times Sora killed himself (once through stabbing and once through magic)

I mean, in terms of size, Master Chief doesn't kill much, but in numbers I think he's got Kratos by dozens of times

The most amazing thing about Kratos killing Gaia, is that Gaia is literally the earth itself

Curse number three, the narator will always in some way, shape or form make the blades of chaos appear next to Kratos. Lol

The wolfenstein games have always been ridiculous on the hardest difficulty. In the original games you needed to memorize where the enemies would spawn or you would die before you could blink.

I never fucking knew there was a curse that kept kratos from killing himself, when I found out he survived the end of the third game i just thought to myself "classic kratos"
