TOTALLY with you on this. As a kid growing up in the 80's/90's Jaguar cars meant the world. I sat in an Xjs twice and even got a ride in an XJ6, I remember both as if they were yesterday. As soon as I could, I bought an X Type from a main dealer and was presented with a leaping cat letter opener, which (with great pride) i gave to my grandad, who, even though he had the money for one, didn't dare treat himself to a Jaguar. This brand meant an awful lot to alot of people. THIS does not represent that brand. I'm not sure what this is, but it sure isn't an advert for a British performance car brand. Goodbye Jaaaaaaag, you are no more 😢

As an old white guy, British but living in the US, I had been feeling a tinge of regret at selling my F-Pace which had been a terrific car but was getting on for seven years old, and replacing it with a German electric one. Now I am rather pleased I did, although I do feel a bit sorry for the staff at the local Jag dealership. I watched the Budweiser saga close up, and could not believe that a sane management would hand over responsibility for their core brand to an individual who, in retrospect, could not have been less in sync with their customer base. I have the suspicion Jaguar's management has done the same.
