@Michael Davison I think it's ridiculous to imply that blues is somehow a historical response to music from the classical period. Furthermore, I fail to see how "fairytale" could apply to classical music; it much more aptly applies to classic musicals.
@gothmog79496 жыл бұрын
Yeh it is bit dumb. 'Fairy tale' might be a fairly fitting description of romantic music, but modernism in music e.g. serial technique and polytonality were movements against it. Blues emerged in a completely difference part of the world with a completely different group of people with no real relationship to Western Classical music. If anything, popular music based on blues may have become more popular as it appealed to a wider audience than classical music of the time, America became such a cultural powerhouse, and the set limits of class that had been present throughout the Western Classical era began to break down.

On the edge of an abandoned town, there sat a stranger, entrenched on playing his old broken down guitar to the souls of those long gone. His name was Jome, and he would put those fearful skeletons to rest. He spent thirteen nights staring into the ink, caught in thoughts Jome thought were buried. Caught in misery, caught in nostalgia, caught in sadness of days past. Memories of the dead filled his mind, their pleas as their final moments approached, while he could do nothing but stare. He contemplated the reason why it had happened for years, all while hating that it was the right decision. Jome put his guitar down and wept, for his time was running low. He could no longer stand the feelings, the memories, and had come to the town to face his death once and for all. He left his guitar, and walked into the town, never seeing sunlight again. Some say his soul is still at the edge of an abandoned town, where a stranger sits entrenched on playing his old broken down guitar to the souls of those long gone.

Imagine all the music that must have been played on this legendary, soulful instrument only ever heard by the one playing it. That ragged carcass of a once glorious instrument shows in every faded line and broken fret how it has witnessed sadness, love, anger, happiness, and peace. The stories it has brought to life through the skillful hands of those honored enough to have created music with that frail shell will be forever locked away in memory until it finally succumbs to the ravages of time and plays no more....but that time is not today.

Imagine playing this on guitar like this inside a nuclear bunker after you survived a nuclear fallout. And you have a revolver and a double barrel shotgun. And you're wearing a cowboy hat and boots...and the whole city is destroyed.

According to me the guitar in this video kind of shows how a person should actually be no matter how old or rusty a person becomes he/she should never lose their spark and should never lose the sense of their duty which they are supposed to perform...
