KREE (MCU): Cultural Index

The Kree are a race that see themselves as the noble protectors of the Galaxy at odds with the Skrulls, Xandar and even Earth in its past.
But their intent is to bring order and purity to the universe, whether you want their help or not.
Ruled by a collective Supreme Intelligence, they are experts at combat and the sciences with a standing ideal for every Kree to act on behalf of the Empire.
This is the Cultural Index a series aimed at exploring various Science-Fiction species.
For outsiders to a series to get to know the basics and maybe even hardened Sci-fi nuts might discover something new.

I watched Captain Marvel yesterday. I was happy that they didn't just make the Skrulls the evil big bad and make the Kree look great, instead keeping the Kree as douches as they are presented everywhere else in the MCU

Well going by the ancient war described in AoS the Kree were taking so much casualties that they started using slave soldiers to bolster their numbers. Yondu was bought by the Kree from his parents to be a slave warrior till he was liberated by the original Ravegers. Which suggest the Ravegers are also an enemy of the Kree. The Asgardians do not like the Kree while the Kree view them as meddling do gooders. Do note Asgard considers Earth their backyard as it is connected to Yggdrasil. Thus the Kree for the most part tend to work covertly on Earth. Though Ronan being overly zealous forgot that particular fact.

Whoa whoa Certifiably that’s awesome cuz Maston Dar-vers was changed thrice first as Car-ell the daughter of Mari-ell (which I completely translated as Marie Danvers and Carol at first) later on I changed it 1 more time to her full name the doll was based on the final change is Caroline Susan Jane Danvers aka Captain Marvel since she’s the female titular protagonist that I love so much.

1:05 those are not crests, those are coat of arms. Crests are a specific portion on top of a heraldic display. The coat of arms is usually at the center of said display and describe the house or family or organisation. The crest on the other hand usually shows the social standing within the house or family or organisation.

I like to think that the peace treaty with Xandar was only possible due to the intervention of Captain Marvel. Honestly, that peace treaty never made sense to me until I saw the ending of Captain Marvel.

"Universal Neural Teleportation Network", I had no idea that's what Marvel's "Jump Point" system was called (although I'm confused about the 'neural' component, time to hit a wiki ^_^) 2:15 : Wow! Although they don't come right out and say it, this is the first time something created in an 'Agents of SHIELD" story line was used in the movies, instead of the other way around, neat ^_^ (I hope this happens more often, but I doubt it will).

Probably similar to the relationship the Federation had with the Cardassian or Romulan Empires. Like the Cardassians, the Kree's expansionist ambitions and efforts would have come crashing into the Federation's own expanding influence. The result in both cases is a series of bloody wars that go on for decades, with fragile peace in between. Honestly though, the Cardassians and Romulans had so much more depth than the Kree do in the MCU. At least the Cardies were given an actual complex (and traumatic) history and motivations. The Kree aren't given any real motive for their aggression or imperialism - they just do what they do out of pure jingoistic nationalism and militarism.
