After watching this a few times over, it just dawned on me that Straxx might say "For the glory of the Sontaran Empire" after most things he says, because it's been hammered into him from his earliest days as a lil' tube babeh that the Empire is everything, and everything must be done in service to the Empire. So, in essence, he's basically trying to justify his helping of other species to himself so as not to feel dishonoured. Or he's just a little potato man who gets all the funny one-liners. I dunno.

A moon could have a stronger gravity if it were dense and had a small radius. It could be weaker in gravity overall, but it’s surface could have stronger gravity.

This is what my thought was. If it had a tungsten core and a thin silicate surface instead of the usual iron + thick crust it would be of greater density and the surface would be closer to the densest part.

In the case of the Sontarran system, it could be the moon was perfectly positioned to also be pulling toward the sun, whilst the sun was pulling back, causing an equilibrium of sorts (of course, the moon would likely have an elliptical orbit than, as it swung around the far side of the planet, further from the Sun).

I really enjoy these, and you've inspired me to do an 'amalgam universe', combining dozens of Scify universes together. I did this some time ago (2007?) with fantasy settings, mashing about 30 of them together (I do maps for RPGs), and it was quite a hit, so I can't wait to start stitching this stuff together. BTW, I've found that a lot of lore is fairly easy to blend, which is the same thing I found when I did the fantasy one - seems like tropes serve a very good purpose in this regard.

Does any source explain why Sontarans shrank? In the Classic series, Sontarans are these huge brutes towering over average humans; but, by the time we see them in the more recent series, they're compact dwarfs! What happened?

Theoretically a moon could have higher surface gravity than the body it is orbiting, because it is proportional to ρ*r (ρ the density, r is the radius) while the mass is proportional to ρ*r³. If Earth and Uranus were in a bound system, Earth would be the orbiting body because it is 1/15 of the mass of Uranus, but it has slightly stronger gravity at the surface (by 13%).

I think you're confusing life span for life expectancy. Life span already means the maximum number of years an organism can live, so maximum life span is redundant. His use of "average life span" in the video is perfectly fine.

His first statement would indicate that Sontarans reached 80 on average, and could expect too on average. The second statement then contradicts that by saying few do. Far better to say, that Sontaran can live up to 80, but few do because of a high rate of attrition.

anything that isn't Dalek deserves to die. daleks are supreme. even viewing their own creator as an inferior being. until they need him because they have come across an enemy they can't beat alone. to which point they use him until he is no longer useful then go back to trying to kill him. however, he has altered some Daleks to few him as a superior being and a leader. and even created a whole new race of Daleks. however, the original Daleks who follow the supreme/emperor Dalek find out about this and go and to capture their creator. the new race of Daleks defend their creator and the imperial/renegade war begins.

The Borg would kick their asses. Borg technology is made to adapt to pretty much anything (species 8472 notwithstanding). That's why the Borg are such a massive threat. You might kill a few on the first encounters because they haven't adapted to your technology yet, but once they did, there's very little you can do against them. I don't believe Sontarans could outthink the Borg, especially given their 'death before dishonor' attitude. They would never retreat from the Borg, but they wouldn't be able to beat them either, thus allowing the Borg to quickly and efficiently take them out, assimilate them and pretty soon, you got a swarm of Borg cubes all up in your business that knows every little thing about your technology plus a crapton more from every other race they assimilated.
