I can't say I'm surprised. Like with Kami, the writing was on the wall. It's a damn shame that this game is hemorrhaging content creators faster than it's getting new ones, but I suppose that's what happens when a game is finally dying. Hopefully someday in the future, Hi-Rez's mismanagement of its games will be taught in schools as an example of what NOT to do. I know we were never super close but I wish you well with your future content endeavors!

I suppose I can say there's only AndrewChicken left in Paladins from big content creators of this game. I don't wish for it, but I'm super curious how long it's gonna last. Even the last critics never saying bad word on game, can't lie to themselves about the fact it's litterally dying. The more sad, no fast like a vaccine in the arm, but like a slowly bleeding out person after numerous amount of shots from a shotgun begging for mercy and asking to end his nightmare and just end his life. I don't wanna say: "Told'ya so?", but for some reason I knew 4 years later we're gonna be at this point some day if Hi-ReZ don't intervene. Question we could ask was is this going to be soon or late.

@@Kreepers What more can I say?... Wish you good luck, Kreepers! We were not agreeing with each other in many cases (you and your viewers), but you're a person to keep this game alive. I'm actually as surprised as many other people, but not because I thought you'd never end up with it, but I didn't expect it to be now. I totally agree that this game is constantly pulled back by management, which is really sad for those who liked it, and frustrating for those who wants to save it. But if this continues, I'm not gonna be suprised if company one day go bankrupt. They do not treat seriously their players, "cash machines", employees, etc... I hope new content will prove people watch you for a content and your personality, not a game.

@@Vfawek nah I mean, the more competitive side theres Zarini, Mutu, XSTBE, Andrew does competitive and casual gameplays, the more casual side is KirbZM, also paladins ranked competitive which show good games from the top players, whats surprising is that even without a mass of Content creators, the game has a fairly steady player base, as of now.

I've been thinking hard (for days now) whether to uninstall Paladins or keep it for old times sake. After watching this video it made me realize that I've been wasting my time playing Paladins, it used to be fun and full of excitement, now it's just full of bugs, server problems, toxic players, underwhelming rewards, etc. I'd hate to see Paladins die completely one day, it's really sad because this is one of the only few games that my low end laptop can run. I also remember watching your videos almost every day especially the new patches and leaks for their new upcoming contents. Well, can't blame you for leaving too, goodluck to you man.

I was one of the few content creators not actively shitting on hi rez during the server issues and I was repayed with a permanent ban. The day before the ban, my buddy and I played against the same cheater twice in a row. I dealt with 4 separate people throwing ranked games multiple times. I know my comment will most likely go unnoticed, but You got lucky, Kreepers. At least they didn't ban you.

I would love if champs and skins would carry over to a possible 'paladins 2' so peoples money isnt lost, I get why that probs wouldnt happen, but paladins 2 on UE5, would be something id look forward to, cut the secrecy, if its in development, they need to promo the shit out of it, not silent launch it.

My experience: I discovered Paladins while searching on Steam, I saw something about an Engineer (TF2) skin for a game if you played through Steam. I tried it and liked it, gotta admit one reason I tried it was because it looked like Overwatch but free. I started watching streamers because of Mixer drops, met cool people but after years most of them either dropped the game or stopped streaming at all. About a year ago I started getting frustrated for playing Paladins and one day it was enough. A team mate was standing in our spawn and shooting the air. That was the day I uninstalled the game. No content, no replayability, merging console and PC players in ranked, dying servers, drophackers just killed the game... And still we had a blast and good games. It really isn't a surprise, seeing the state of the game it is commendable you held as long as you did. Paladins has been on life support for so long and the declining player rate is only a reflection of the game's state. But hopefully this change will give you more freedom to do more content creation and have more fun. (From a player you once played with)

I've started Paladins way back when it first came out, probably a couple patches in already, later on found your channel and Twitch along with some other amazing creators and even had the chance to play with or against you a lot and that was the most fun I've had with the game. I can thank a lot of knowledge about the game to you, since I've watched guides you made and it even made me a Vora main for a while. I haven't touched the game in months now, mainly because I just don't feel like the game is going anywhere and the constant server issues and connectivity problems don't help it at all. I will miss Paladins content, but at the same time, I'm looking forward to seeing other content from you! I wish you all the best in life!

Lesson learned, never trust in hirez's games, no matter how sweet the game's concept is. They all are gonna fall, unless you're smite, hirez golden child. Really, ive only been playing the game, because i love the champions, the player v player experience is absolutely atrocious now though. Rip, it is the game of my childhood, but i just can't feel sad about it anymore just apathy really. I'll just stand by, get some smores and watch it burn. I doubt they will even attempt to revive the game, they'll maybe fart out a major content update in parody of an attempt to recover players (forge update, paladins edition) and that's the biggest spike in popularity this game will have. Maybe smite 2 will make them the ka-ching (that's assuming it will actually get better quickly), then we might get paladins 2. If they touch the core of the game - distinct, highly customizable champions, in-game shop, anti-heal cauterize - which i heard there was plan to just make it make-a-champion kind of game, i won't even touch the sequel. Oh, whoops. Just made a paladunce vent again, lol. P.S. i love the part, where hirez decided to put an ad for their dollar-store basketball game, while palladins was LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE FOR A MONTH. Talk about great ad campaing P.P.S. I just hope hirez wull sell this ip to an actual studio, that knows hiw to manage their current IPs. I'd rather see the game get millions of microtransactions if it meant the game i really liked would be acrually fun to play again, id rather grow to hate paladins again under new management, then be apathetic towards it with a tint of sadness.

Started playing paladins around year ago and i was so baffled about the depts that the game had to offer. Even the low player numbers i was enjoying every match that i played.. why they dont just sell the license to a other company that can save it. If they create paladins 2 same shit is going to happen again. You were the first streamer i watched and i loved it. Hate to see it at this point that the game is ruined. It's a real shame how the game fell off, and it keeps falling. I met a guy there years ago in random match, that is now my best friend and even he is pissed off how the game is dying... I invested so much into that game, time and money, and had fun, but with each day it is getting worse. It was Paladins, then Bugadins and now with so many bugged features where you should get a chest, a champion, crystals, rewards... it had become Scamadins. Makes me really sad. I still have faith someone or something will revive the game, but considering how Hi-rez is treating their IPs.... Yeah, I blame Hi-rez for making a good game, gets money off of it and then it kills it. They really are a Scam Company.

Great Disgust! Using those two words we may describe what saying "Goodbye" by Kreeprs to Paladins means for a future of the game. We all can laugh that the game is just a lower budget "Overwatch", depending on what we mean by that, but the fact is Paladins was years later a game to be one of the only to take down from the throne Overwatch. It had a potential but got wasted by a number of scandals like OB64, removing Payload, making maps much smaller, speeding up the dynamic of gameplay and lots more. We could all think this was the end, that a big neihgbor absolutely humiliated them without any fight. But then... fate was about to give Paladins another chance. The time Paladins had to overtake drowsy game such as Overwatch was so valuable. Overwatch 2 was about to be announced soon and a bit earlier it looked like Blizzard didn't plan to do anything to their game just passively looking like their numbers are going down. This could be interpreted as a chance of buying a time to fix everything that doesn't work in the game, plan on fixing such a spaghetti code and for the most plan a huge bomb that would make a signal to everyone: "Hey, guys! We know you played Overwatch I. But look at what they did to Overwatch II. And look at what we've done at this point for those years at the same time. We didn't forget about Paladins." But even if after releasing Overwatch II some people just left the game and went to Paladins to check if it's better than OW2, they quickly realised that wasn't the case and this temporary Paladins trend exposed everything that didn't happen just then, but was slowly ignored for years and backfired when the least expected. It quickly turned out the game lacks many things to compensate leaving old players by joining new players and all those voices saying Paladins without advertisement, without budget, without developers and without players has no future were absolutely right. So it basically means Paladins wasted its chance to dethrone Overwatch and become bigger game then any other "Hero Shooter" TWO TIMES, partially because of decisions made in Evil Mojo, mainly because of head management (Hi-ReZ). And probably some of you may argue with me that it's not just Hi-ReZ being lazy or doesn't know how to work in game development and the truth is they just can't spend their money on a game that doesn't have a future. And even if it is a solid argument, the fact is it has no future BECAUSE there's no money for Paladins. And it's clearly not just because I'm picking on HI-ReZ and look for a guilty one, the truth is Hi-ReZ if wanted, could and even SHOULD spend money on their project which Paladins is, but instead they spend it on other projects that have no future such as "Rogue Company" or reached the ceiling unable to go through like "Smite". And of course... Money to keep alive project standing the best on feets like "Smite" is understandable and it's obvious budget for it is gonna be at first step. But for God's sake, it doesn't mean that head management from Disney will not spend their money on projects "Shogun" just because there's no guarantee to succeed, just to give a budget on productions that reached the top like "Moana". And I think we're all now at the point where even Evil Mojo employees, who see that the game drops down absolutely not because of their fault, must feel totally embarrassed by the level of awkwardness, or at least slightly disgusted. Because looking at how Smite and Paladins together do right now (and I don't mean Smite 2) it must be for them just absolutely frustrating that they're making absolute miracles having no money for doing their job, and even then laurels just because of money spent gain someone else. We all have to agree after time that people like Romanova, FeistyJalapeno, Thor and many other developers just did their best and even current developers rip their veins out to make Paladins alive. And we can't say that they want and try to do everything they can to make people happy game is still supported. Seeing that people with nostalgia refer to the oldest versions of maps, they brought back possibility to play on them during limited game mode. By seeing that current items just don't fit to the game anymore, they reworked all shop to make it fit the standards. And last but not least, when the game needed it the most due to people being bored of traditional game modes they brought back limited time modes. There's obviously much more decisions practically leaving people in game by letting them know they didn't forget about players... But of course... there always have to be any "but"... Because even the best developers make some mistakes that they need to be count for after. Like at the time when 3rd person during match was disabled, devs explained that... Hold on there... "This is not 3rd person game"... Which we all know that the real reason was just a buggy aim that always needed to be calibrated every time new champion came out and even a small update could potentially break its working. And because of decisions such as that of those people who work for Evil Mojo to support Paladins, we can't be surprised they often become an object of laughs and derision what take away all of their reliability. With all of that we also can't forget about the fact people who usually made decisions for the game, made them after communicating with community leaders. And as much as people spit on them, this was actually one of those good decisions. The only problem was... who was those leaders... Because we can agree even if some of their decisions could be defended, it's fact undeniable there are many other players who deserve to be in a contact as community leader MORE then them. Maybe it'd be just better if this wasn't announced who's community leader this year by voting, but instead by an in-game ranking? This way developers could choose people who they think know the game the best, because who like who, but proplayers should know their favourite game best of all. And to be sure we reject all people who doesn't have intelectual abilities to think about rebalance of the game, we could make a small test to a chosen group of those proplayers checking their game knowledge, basic informations, a few scientific questions and all. All of this to make sure at the end we will find those who are within the scope of intelect and will choose those... REALLY the best community leaders. But with those "the best" even I would be careful. Because as many stats of best players leaving the game show, people who should have any voice in contact with developers talking about what direction game should go, should only be the best proplayers and game coaches. So generally in practice proplayers who got chosen for a small test made by Evil Mojo can count on themselves to prove developers they're worthy of being community leader by anonymous test and normal players - keep their fingers crossed for their idols. Attention Now! I'm gonna give you a full, simple and ready recipe to (paraphrasing Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump) "Make Paladins Great Again". 1. Focusing on advertisement, even for a cost of giving money to content creators, to let people know that the game exists. No money for content creators, no money for pro players. 2. Giving more freedom in making decisions people who are responsible for the game. Not only developers, but also community leaders. No decisions made by one person in dev team, nor popular content creators. 3. Top-down and clearly defined budget for every game project Hi-ReZ owns to make it sure no project is ignored and has not enough to be held. For example, if game needs advertisement or attention and needs to be remembered about, make it possible to be remembered about. And if there's no need to give any unnecessary attention because projects holds great, maybe this money can be spent on something else? Let me all know what you think about it if you want to keep a discussion about a game. Facts are facts, not only developers and not only Hi-ReZ, but we all need to do something... because if not... Evil Mojo will be forced to keep Paladins alive, even with round 0 players.

I already experienced those same problems and burnouts those 2 years ago and I couldn't make myself to play that game actively anymore, and when I saw how devs are slowly giving up on the game, I rather gave up on it too, than waste my time on that, cuz I knew this game has no future anymore and it's time to move on. I'm actually surprised that you managed to hold on for so long, you must have nerves of steel xd Anyway good luck on your new path, whatever it will be, but trust me, you will probably be getting this urge to comeback from time to time, thinking you're missing out or something, or if it was a right choice to leave, it's like a fucking parasite man, but it will fade away one day and you will enjoy a happy life without this damn game.

Ever since they changed moji, i gave up with the game, moji was the first champion i mastered she didnt need to be changed at all despite what people say. Besides that, there are more pressing issues than characters. Servers, bugs, rewards. No one seemed to care about moji changes, but since that change, the game has deteriorated.

I used too love paladins but right now its unplayable, probably spent over 10k hours on that game and it allways had so much more potential. Used to tell friends on DC that paladins is a Lost gaming hit and a overwatch "killer" It just feels so overloaded with useless stuff. gotta hate Hirez for what they did to those games especially paladins. kinda hoping for it to come back, just has a special place in my gaming heart. I havent played paladins for more than a month, but even before that i already lost that sparkle for the game. The good thing i play a lot of games that just easily substitutes paladins. I'm a lifelong Overwatch player that occasionally popped in to play Paladins. OW2 is absolutely a scam downgrade of OW1, though its still a good game. While I don't think Paladins could ever "kill" Overwatch, it definitely could have been a legitimate contender, which would only make both games better. OW has no competition rn, but if Paladins stepped it up, both games would improve due to competition. Sad Hi Rez fumbled so hard...

Lost my interest in paladins after 6 years more because competitive games were not that interesting to me anymore, and my priorities changed. I still follow people, artists, and content cretors to this day tied to the game and I see a bit of what's going on since I stopped playing. By the time i started to stop playing around the start of 2023, I was hopeful for the future and optimistic that the game may be revived, but it didn’t seemed that was gonna happen along the time. When this game came out on Playstation i played it so much all day and everyday, and when they did the Halloween event with the exclusive skins that depended on killing a NPC that showed up 1/50 games that was it. Killed me to drop the game but that was the last straw and forsaw all this BS

I remember that event. I was one of the lucky few who got every boss etc. but to this day I have friends super pissed off about it. It's like I keep saying. This game is a testing server for the devs that pass by the dev team just so they can fill their resumes

You guys are right about paladins I’ve watched this game for years since its creation just watching everything good about the game whither away Third person,Play of the game OB64 completely ruined this game it’s just losing players everyday it’s pointless so even me as a level 109 Willo main I quit this game and I’m moving on to games like Fortnite if this game creates a paladins 2 then I’ll come back but for now I just quit and if this game keeps on going down more and more There will be no more content creators for paladins. Even Andrew Chicken May quit.

Aww man, I remember when, I think Vex? Quit the game, like I was, oh no! but looking back now? I see it as the best choice and for a while now, the game is just a shell of what it was. It's not fun anymore, so many unfair things, bugs and all! and then the twich channel disappeared, twich prime too, and then the problem with Tarden and the SA players being ignored*! and the content creators also ignored!!? yes, just going downhill. I'm glad you're moving on man, best thing you'll ever do! Yeah, that's fair. Clinging on to some misguided hope that Hi-Rez will fix Paladins is probs not a good mindset, considering how unlikely it seems. Hope whatever avenues you pursue will still do well. I know generally when people switch their content type they often create a new channel, so that in your case your non-paladins videos won't get recommended to your paladins viewers. Since then algorithm says "well if even the people who regularly watch him aren't interested in this video then it's probably a bad video". Either ways I have an interest in technical OBS tips and whatnot, so I expect I'd watch regardless of channel. But hey, maybe just jump into the Elden Ring train. That I'll 100% watch XD

Hi-Rez games for me always felt cheap and low effort.. (no shade to the developers) but animation of the characters , the jumps of the characters .. I don’t know.. they need to hired better animators or help the ones they have to improve .. idk 🤷🏻
