You know, I was wondering... that Yoda went to Dagobah because the dark side energy (nexus) there could mask his presence, right? Such a nexus, like on Malachor V, "can be used to break the will of Jedi, promising them power and turning them to the dark side". So basically that means Yoda had to fight a constant mental battle against the nexus every day for like 20 years! Now that's something, isn't it?

Great video, as always! Though I have more question than answers, as usual. I don't really like to talk about the metaphysics of Star Wars (nexus and such), because all our evidence are artworks, made by flawed humans, which constantly changes from what is canon or what is not, there are inconsistencies between different authors and different materials from the Star Wars universe. Sometimes, the author wants to teach a lesson to the audience, other times the author just wants to make a quick buck or two. I guess the main lesson is how much impact we have in our environment and vice-versa. This all reminds me of a Instagram post about the beaches of Normandy, photos from 1945 and now, side by side. In WW2, there was lots of bodies, smokes, planes, tanks, all the horrors of war. Today, these same beaches are a tourist point, people go there to relax, have fun on the beach, where countless have died in the past. In current days, that place is very beautiful. Some of the comments said "How can people relax there when countless died? What about the memory of the fallen?". Others comments said "We have to move on, people fought there for the safety of future generations, if we'd mourn every loss we'd be crying all day forever". As said in another Kreia's Conundrums video, our world is becoming more peaceful, there hasn't been a war as brutal as WW2, it seems we've learned a lesson there (but we still have much to learn). Despite the horrors of war, some good may come of it. With "making peace" with Malachor V, the Exile reformed the Jedi Order, carrying Kreia's teaching to the future. With WW2, there was huge technological advancements and it taught nations that if we continue warmongering on a global scale, it would be suicide for everybody. Thus UN was created and there hasn't been a war as brutal as WW2 ever since. But war still happen, UN is flawed as heck, we still have much to learn, but we didn't nuke ourselves to death. Not yet, at least.
@PapitoQinn

I'd have to lean on the side of: I don't think the people enjoying the beach are disrespecting the sacrifices in any way. People fought and died so that people could be able to freely enjoy themselves like that. And really, think about all the people who died that we don't know about. At any given moment we might be standing on someone's undocumented grave. My apartment probably has some old bones underneath it, and that old tree outside might have been fertilized by humans in the soil. I don't know if war something we'll ever be able to completely stamp out as human beings. You're right. WW2 brought us the jet engine for example. It's sad that someone's ambition to create more effective killing machines is what brought it to us. But we can't just ignore it because of it's origins. WW2 also brought a lot of medical advancements. But these were byproducts from Nazi medical experiments on unwilling participants. Brutal tortures brought invaluable information. Does that mean we should torture more people? Absolutely not. There are other, better, alternatives. Yes, the UN is flawed. All you need to do is look at the countries on their human rights council. I'd like to think that we can do better. Because if this is our best, then it's pretty pathetic. At least we, for the most, realized that mutually assured self destruction is peak failure for any species.

@@PapitoQinn The beautiful thing is that Normandy was rebuilt. Telos was brought back to life. I guess another lesson is that things can be healed and rebuilt. We all have our wounds, traumas that need to be healed. That's why I love so much KOTOR 2. It gives me hope that broken people can be put back together and become better for it.

"poisoning the well" is an interesting statement. In the KOTOR games I'm not aware of any "natural" dark-side nexus, only those created by war/technology. I'm also not aware of any artificial man-made light-side nexus. I think we go too far trying to see light/dark as 2 sides of a coin in these games, as equals, when you poison a well you are not toggling it between 2 different natural states you are corrupting it. Based only on the KOTOR games I get the impression that light aspects of the force are natural and the base-state of life, and that the dark side is an unnatural perversion/corruption of this inflicted by people. We know how a world may become like Malachor, but we don't know any means by which worlds like Malachor could be "unpoisoned".

Actually, we do know a way - look at Telos (a planet that was utterly destroyed, comparable to the wound of Malachor/the Exile based off of Ithorians comments). Reseeding and otherwise healing the ecosystem and structure of a planet like Malachor would 'unpoison' it (or rather, push it back over to the light). An extreme form of this can be predicted to create a Force nexus of the light side, though it would likely be MUCH harder than creating a dark side Force nexus.

@@cyberninjazero5659 Its possible that Korriban is a powerful Nexus of the darkside because of the countless generations of sith purebloods worshiping the darkside before and after the arrival of the first lord of the sith, Ajunta Pall. Another reason was the desolation that the Rakata brought to the planet when they invaded and made war with the sith purebloods until driven off eventually.

Yes moral is subjective... But Nietzsche also said that in order to distinguish the god from the bad we need the good values that were taught by the church... And the only solution to the decaying of those morals would be for us to creat our own values... But i'm not sure humans are capable of that... Considering the fact that dictators throw all history have created their own unique moral to justify murder and suffering... I think that if we are to create our new values they need to be based upon things that will not bring hell on humanity... In short: if everyone is free to create their own value and morals nothing will stop us from bringing chaos upon the world and justify it by saying it's all for a greater good....
@PapitoQinn

Are you sure you're leaving this comment on the right video? Regardless, whatever values that came from religion really came from humans and organized into a religion. People were, are, and will always be able to calculate the conclusion that murder, for example, is detrimental. This applies unless you believe the teachings of the church were not developed by humans but came from something or somewhere else.

@@PapitoQinn yeah this was supposed to be on the new kreya's conundrums... But nevertheless religion has been around for almost 2000 years... Our entire western culture has been molded by it... Tossing it aside would be like forgetting years and years of knowledge and experiences that our ancestors have gathered, plus I don't think every human would come to the conclusion that killing is detrimental... See the nazi genocide in WW II or the Great leap forward in China for example. Religion as bad as wrong as it can be has set humans on a path of peace...
@PapitoQinn
@PapitoQinn 5 жыл бұрын
@@darthvinus9963 Religion has been around for far longer than that. The teachings that were used to mold the religion have been around for even longer. No one is arguing to toss the baby out with the bathwater. We can abandon organised religion and still believe that killing is wrong. People's empathy isn't depended on someone telling them what they should and shouldn't believe in. Let's not forget that Hitler was raised catholic, but later turned on religion in adulthood. Not everyone has the capacity for empathy and no amount of religion is going to change that. I can't say that religion has set humans on the path of peace, especially considering the wars they've caused. The teachings may have, but you don't necessarily need any religion for that. Human beings are the ones with the power to shape our destinies.

Cameron Williams besides the theories popping up regarding the rise of Skywalker. (In which I wise to see the Senate use his unlimited power to end the new canon. I can dream...) before I go further of track, my point was that if you look back at the Thrawn trilogy, it was either Heir to the empire or Dark Force Rising can remember but leia traveled to Endor to meet Khabarakh of clan Khim'bar (a Noghri death commando who she had made a deal with. Upon flying into or near the place where the second Death Star had been, Leia I believe feel what she later described as great anger and hatred and maybe a cold emptiness, like a void. This overwhelming sensation caused leia to fall Unconscious for at least a few minutes. Ultimately Leia came to the conclusion that she had felt the power of Palpatine which seemingly still lingered there 6 years after his original death. I don’t think this will come into play as Disney doesn’t give a shit about real Star was fans but it’s still an interesting idea that only builds upon the already established lore. Hope anyone reading found that useful and or helpful!
