I just want to say, I love your channel. I love Commander gameplay, but I feel you do it best. Game Knight’s take on it is very high production quality, but that quality makes it very few in between releases. Star City Games can get a little muddy if you’re not paying all your attention. But you still keep such high quality with frequent releases that are easy to follow.

That’s what I love about game knights and dislike about Commander Versus. Commander Versus is so frequent and so involved that they get muddy as you said. They also repeat a lot of the same themes. Plus their games are always long. Game Knights stays fresh because of how infrequent it is.

They made the correct play, because Rule 800.4a says "When a player leaves the game, all objects (see rule 109) owned by that player leave the game and any effects which give that player control of any objects or players end." Therefore, this will cease the control of the Beetleback, which will lead to it beeing returned to its owner.

@@davidcalvao Normally yes, except it wasn't a control granting effect (see Act of Treason or In Bolas's Clutches). Because the creature entered under Tommy's control, he was the default controller, just not the owner.

Hey, Muddstah! What’s good? I have a very similar Krenko deck, and it is by far my favorite deck to play. What’s more fun than having an army of goblins? An addition I made to my deck is Altar of the Brood, which means that even if you can’t attack for the win, you can still mill everyone else, which is a pretty good achievement for mono red. So, if you don’t have it in your deck, I would consider adding it for the next game. Anyway, I just want to say that you are an amazing KZbinr, and don’t tell the Command Zone, but you’re my favorite mtg KZbinr. Keep up the great work!

My best use of Chandra's Ignition was when I cast it on a soon-to-be 13/5 Prossh. It was even more glorious because one of my opponents was hanging on to Platinum Angel.

The entomb should have been cast on his turn, the reason to cast things at instant speed is to save mana for the next turn. When you're saccing the land you're not saving mana, so just casting it on your turn is the correct play.

I hate infect. And the people who play it. We've all agreed on a mutual set of rules for a friendly game and then some asshole has to come and shit all over the place just because they want to do things differently. They know other players loathe it and yet choose to bring exactly that. Play against three other infect players if you must, but stay the hell out of our lives. I make exceptions for cEdh of course, but I only play that at GP's. Also mad props to the artist of the Finks Playmat, well done!!

There was this hilarious game where infect got pretty close... someone played Ichor Rats, completely ignoring the opponent's Atraxa. I think they got all the way to 9 poison before stabilizing :P

Yup all permanents belonging to that player immediately cease to exist and any spells they had on the stack disappear

It depends. If the permanent switched controllers, it goes back to the previous controller. If the permanent was cast by that player or entered the battlefield under their control, it's exiled when they leave the game.

@@MTGMuddstah Watching your videos (which I love btw) on my phone-then casted to my smart TV, and having to extremely quickly pause to read the card is difficult. Especially when multiple cards back to back are played. A potential suggestion....maybe: 1. Keep the initial size or have a larger size for the "shrunk version" 2. If back to back plays happen, keep the 2+ cards on screen a bit longer. 3. Pause the actual game-play footage if the card you are showing has a lot of text/an uncommon card. Something very common like Sol Ring, or a Basic land can be sped through. I'm just spitballing here :)

How is infect any worse than literally any other combo in the game? You can win so much easier from “Infinite ____” than infect. You all in the comments really crying cuz you don’t play any interaction cards, huh?

Before the infect rants begin, people should be aware of a few things: Many people don't realize at how much of a disadvantage infect is against a non-infect table. Yes, you only need to deal 10 to each opponent, but you have to deal all that damage by yourself. You can't count on other players wearing themselves down for you. And if you run out of infect sources, which happens a lot in EDH, guess what? You now have to deal with much higher life totals and your previous work has gone to waste. The rule of one copy of each card also hurts infect a lot, as most infect cards are actually very underwhelming. So no, infect isn't cheap or broken in EDH, and outside of combos like the one we saw here and one-hit kill cards like Blightsteel Colossus and Triumph of the Hordes, it's actually very hard for infect to win.

The only good infect cards are skithiryx, tainted strike, blightsteel collosus, and grafted exoskeleton. Honestly infect is pretty garbage as a sole deck theme, and it gets carried by a select few cards. Those being the only good infect creatures, and the only good ways to give better creatures infect. Just because someone draws a tainted strike and a grafted exoskeleton in the same game doesn't make it op in however many games they don't draw either of 2 specific cards.

I, myself don't mind it too much except I wish the infect damage to kill someone was higher than 10. I think it'd be more fair if it was 20, same as commander damage.

@@TH3L3M0N doesn't seem like its too much harder though. I personally don't have too much of a problem with infect except that it only takes 10. I personally think it should be 15-20 DMG, but that's only my opinion.

I see the argument for it being 15-20 often. I think I could get behind that if there was an abundance of good infect cards, but as it stands we've basically got: Blightsteel Colossus, Triumph of the Horde, and the Exoskeleton. The rest are often common or uncommon which are a slow grind to get to 10.
