Reviews of clothing, boots, and accessories for men, along with style advice and life philosophy. I've been working with my hands for my entire life as a mechanic, tow truck driver, and eventually a licensed electrician. Being a blue collar guy, I look for certain elements in a product: is it durable? Is it high-quality? Will it perform well over its service life? Whether boots, pants, jackets, or tools I believe it's best to buy once and cry once by getting the best you can afford. With so many options these days, choosing the best product can become a difficult decision, but that's where I come in. Helping you stay stylish, rugged, and handsome.
I don't care where it's made as long as it's made well, and allows you to buy less and buy better.

I fell in love with the K7's when I first saw them. I can't even remember how I came across his IG / website. I think it was when I was poking around for some selvedge denim and somehow came across his page. I ordered a pair back in July 2021, I believe, and it was a 24 month turn around time when I ordered. The classic look of the boot just really looks good in regards to the silhouette. I almost ordered the Nineteen36 because I like the rough out and then I was going to go with a rough out version of the K7's but then I started appreciating the grain side or whatever the opposite of rough out is called. The color that I think we are going to go with is going to be like the originals, but instead of blue, it'll be with a maroon / burgundy color like the oneundertakers. I'm really excited to see how they turn out! These green ones turned out great! Gabbard is very easy and friendly to talk to over the phone and was very helpful in the whole process. I think the wait time now is around 36 months and prices have went up since then. I wouldn't mind a pair of the nail shanks as well, but that'll have to be in the future. Thanks for sharing!

Don’t think i could get these because i am either in the wood-shop or out riding all day and would not want to ruin them lol. But maybe ill get in line ; just to have a handmade pair, why not.. we work hard for a reason, and that reason it to enjoy the fruit of our labors - in this case as you say “to let them accumulate scratches/scuffs as good boots should”. Great way to set this up for people to signup. Great job on your videos and content, keep up the good work.

Carl, several years ago I saw your video on Red Wing Iron Ranger boots. That convinced me to purchase a pair. Since then I’ve worn these boots almost everyday. So my question is - how could these Krosote boots be all that much better than my IR’s?
@CarlMurawski
@CarlMurawski 2 жыл бұрын
Mostly it’s the fact that they’re bespoke and made to your feet. That’s probably the biggest difference. Aside from that they’re constructed using an entirely different technique being hand welted, which is only available in very high end footwear.

Hey I have a boot question? I'm a lineman and I use to wear hoffman dri line boots. I stopped wearing them because of the weight and comfort. About 9 years ago I switched to mountaineering boots like lowa gtx and kenetreck and scarpa. This style of boot is so comfortable but don't last but 2 years at most in my trade. What boot would you recommend thats maybe a little lighter and comfortable without a logger or lineman heel but still a decent heel to catch my hooks and that I'll have for 5 or 6 years +? Thanks!

I agree. Carl mentioned in a previous video that to make each pair of Kreosote boots, it takes approximately 50 man hours of one highly talented craftsman. So, with a ton of man hours per pair + high quality materials + equipment + shop costs, etc., it would be impossible to charge what many people would consider "reasonable." If you simply want a nice pair of functional boots, of course you can get them for far less. These boots are a special item for people who appreciate these things. Definitely not for everybody (but they are or me).
