This touched me a lot as my beloved grandpa was a shoemaker / cobbler , I still smell his workshop while looking to this documentary.

Very well done. He is such a cool cat and great subject for your art. I have a pair of nail shanks on order. Connected with him as I grew up going to the sticks of Missouri fishing and my wife has family there… we had a great conversation brought back so many memories. To have him craft a pair of boots is just an honor.

After 22 months, I got my nail shanks a few days ago. I cannot describe how satisfied and enthusiastic I am. When I see and wear the boots I have to think about how much love Gabbard made them for this craft.

Another excellent video Bryan, I actually knew about Mr. Gabbard from his first boot venture, it's so surreal to see him out on youtube like this.

Hello Brian, I'm impressed about the way, you introduce yourself in the little clip. You come on very sympathy 😍 I am a shoemaker since 1995 and live in West Germany. In December I go to Hamburg for a shomaker meeting. I imagine, how nice it could be, to meet a smart, cool man like you there. Best wishes from a shoemakersbride, Laila

Grrrr. I wanted to be #200 thumbs up. Alas, I was only #199. Missed it by that much. You didn't miss it. You hit it and killed it. The bootmaker wasn't the only craftsman involved with this video. This was my first Analog Artisans video and it won't be my last.
