“Tante Nini”, a collaboration between Clinton Benoit and Kreyol Alternative, serves as a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Boulo Valcourt and his iconic Caribbean Sextet. This musical endeavor brings together a talented ensemble of musicians, including Clinton Benoit, JeanMax Valcourt, Reginald Policard, Shedly Abraham, Meridith Augustine, Reynald Valme, Yahio Ikawa, Ti Claude Marcelin, Jimmy Jean Felix, Jean Rene JP, Phillippe Michel, Bobby Raymond, Alex Asher, Nolan Tsang, and Jordan Cohen. Their combined efforts culminate in a remarkable track that not only honors the vibrant musical heritage of Boulo Valcourt but also celebrates the enduring legacy of the Caribbean Sextet.

Clinton, I’m so grateful for what you did for my dad. Thank you for highlighting his contribution to Haiti’s rich culture, to include his music. This piece is very much the heart of his years in Caribbean Sextet. I remember watching and listening, hours on end his entire team, practicing, removing notes, adding new ones, changing the melody. Hours of practice that him and his band devoted to creating this ensemble and others. My dad was a perfectionist and everything he touched, there was a lot of thought and dedication to it. I am proud that he left a mark on you, Clinton, personally as you warmly described to me many times and for taking his music back to the younger generation and for us to remember his legacy. Thank you for a job well done🙏🏾💓on behalf of the Valcourt family, we are all proud of what you’ve done!

I had the privilege to meet Mr. Valcourt just about 2 years prior to his passing at a private event. What a humble, respectable, talented gentleman, he was! We definitely lost a legend! Thank you so much for keeping his craft alive.🙏

I met him also back in December 2004 in haiti. We both were traveling from Port-au-Prince to NY. Our fly was delayed for about two or more hours, we were talking about everything. What a great and humble gentleman he was as you said Ms Carole, may Sir Valcourt RIP 4ever🙏👌
