I got to listen to nirvana before Kurt died. these kids evolutionized hip hop as being a sport for young African American males. They kinda got over shadowed by michael jackson, biggy, tupac, snoop, etc. but they definitely changed the game. for about 4 months they were the biggest thing on the planet. I truly remember that coming from southern California in the 80s and 90s. it was a lot of gang stuff back then a very rough time. every day after school they had an entire riot squad to fight against the every day gang fights. ppl used to say i was in the bloods and the crips. i was just trying to stay alive.
