Just as a quick note, this video shows the Gen 2 pre-2017 version. In later iterations, there is only the pin at the front of the rail to hold it in place. The screw itself can be found at nearly any hardware store and is an M4 (0.7 thread) hex cap. You can get the 20mm long standard size screw, remove about 2 or 3mm of thread (enough to push the trigger bar to remove all pre-travel) by grinding with a bench grinder or other grinding tool, then grind the head of the screw to give clearance to slide the rail back on. Just be sure to keep the threads clean and remove any burrs before installing. Add a little cold blue to the screw and you're all set. Total cost (assuming you don't need to buy tools) is $1.29

I got the screws Thursday, shortened one to 14.5mm (give or take a thousandth ;) ) and installed the mod this morning. Works like a charm. The trigger is nice and positive, takeup is almost neglible and reset is firm. Thanks for the info presented here and for sending the screws to me.
@yearlyrookie9142 жыл бұрын
You said you used a 14.5? That's a bit of grinding he would of used instead of just using a 15mm or 14
@markedmiston89854 жыл бұрын
I bought the $15 screw (I got scrod) and before installing it, I found the perfect replacement at the hardware store for near nothing. Threads are perfect and the head is semi-round. It fits well below the rail when installed and it's what I'm using. Works great. $5 shipped to you in the US for the one I paid $15 for if you want it. Just let me know and we both come out OK.

My Gen 2 vector has no screw through the top rail just a roll pin and the factory screw was 3mm instead of 2.5 but other than that it was the same procedure. I ended up at 14.5mm in length too for everything to be set good. Thanks for the video, it made a very accurate gun even more accurate.

Dude, awesome! Thanks for the tip! I just finished this mod on my brand new Vector! Wish I could give you more than one like on this vid! The most annoying thing is that stupidly tiny frikken roll pin holding the rail in place. On the Gen 2.1 (2017 version) they did away with the screw at the front, but there's still a hole for it in the polymer where it would go. I wish they'd kept the screw and ditched the roll pin.

This a copy of an e-mail to GuyinGarage: Hi, This is a followup to a message sent yesterday. I solved my problem and found the metric bolt needed do your fantastic trigger job on the Kriss Vector. I am finished and it works just like you showed on KZbin. I made a few changes: 1) I found and used a m4 by 18 bolt (m3 to small) 2) The bolt had a standard head height but I filed it down to fit as I did with the extra length. My 45 Vector is called a Gen 2 2017 or Gen 2.5 or Gen 2-B. The main difference is not having the two pivoting points for a folding stock and the bolt you used is now a m4 instead of the m3. I ordered yesterday an adapter from Primary Arms which will screw into the threaded rear of my pistol. It will allow me to attach my forearm brace making it a folder. It only folds to the port (left) side of the gun but it folds & that's what I wanted. Next will be to buy one of the double tap rigs. If your upgraded trigger interferes with the double tap trigger, will please let me know. I can always hold off on the double tap and go forward with my last addition which is a fully licensed suppressor. Great trigger upgrade. Congratulations, you must be a master gunsmith. Highest Regards

@@hydro.tactical3843 Bolt and carrier yes. Trigger group no. Someone sells a "double tap" for it but its double tap or safe only. No single shot. Once you pull the trigger you have to release fire it. Hopefully Frankling Armoury will make a BFS for the Vector.

Very cool Same principle as the Joe Bobs trigger screw adjuster that I installed on my AR-15. Shortens up the pull in the trigger for not much money at all. Are there springs inside that could be replaced for an even lighter trigger throw? Or possibly do a .25 cent trigger polish job to smooth up the feel of the trigger?
