If they had just left Floyd in the car and walked away to get statements from the witnesses, rather than letting him be on the ground like he demanded, he would have overdosed sitting up in that car before the ambulance arrived. We may not even know his name, unless there was audio recording of him calling for help in the car. Then it would be some claim that he represents the white man's abandoned promises or callous disregard or something else. Probably, he just wouldn't have worked as the story BLM wanted. We would all know some other black person's name that died under easily miscontrued circumstances at the side of white cop or victim. Floyd's death was simply used by a machine that was already in search of some situation like this to instigate the violence and political power they had been preparing to unleash for many years. Perhaps that is the better analogy connection with the ambassador's murder - that many Germans had been waiting for some excuse to unleash violence against the Jews and this was their excuse.

Excellent videos, and this is my favorite among them by far. I've been a lifelong history buff, and for the last several years increasingly interested in the untold and often suppressed truths of WWII and the NSDAP. Yet I'd never heard of the story of Herschel Grynszpan (even had to look up the spelling), or the events leading up to Kristallnacht. I literally was told what had happened to them, but never told why. Thank you for the vanishing rarity of actual reportage, balanced and objective.

Thanks again. I have learned to trust your informative documentaries. Anti German sentiment did spiral out of control after Kristallnacht, and no one can really defend it. However, it seemed, in Europe itself, after the fall of France in 1940, the nations of Europe were content to make their peace with Germany and for a while there was a strong pan-European elan.

Screeching rants and hand-wringing histronics about the poor poor Jews by a tiny handful of politicians and what we today would call "woke journalism" was just another excuse for the war the rich and powerful in the West wanted anyway. What's more, we must examine the personal armed forces of the rival leaders. Rohm was gone and his SA Brown Shirts -- that once played a crucial role in protecting and recruiting to the NSDAP -- were no longer needed and mostly disbanded. The whole concept of a revolution from below, with the SA becoming the army of the new regime, that program was abandoned soon after Hindenburg assented to Hitler becoming chancellor. Goebbels missed the bus when it came to building his own private army (and Goering was too late to the party). Goebbels understood that several million former Brown Shirts felt betrayed and abandoned and clamored for action. His rivals weren't about to let him resurrect the SA and jumped at the chance to embarrass him.

I’d like to see a full video or series tackling the entire Holocaust. Seems impossible to find objectivity when talking about it these days. I only ever hear that it happened and that it was wrong… well no shit, but what were the in-depth reasons it was committed, why did Hitler abandon his previous plans to simply deport most of them? Was it a contingency from the start that became more brutal as Germany started losing, or did the war prompt the internment, or was there something else. Maybe I’m asking the wrong guy, as it seems you cover more of the political and military aspects of things, but it’d be cool to have an unbiased historical look at the event… Forgive me if it’s already included in some of your videos, I haven’t been able to get through all of them yet.

I would love a video on Yugoslavia during WW2, it's a complicated topic with a lot of factettes. Hitler initially wanted Yugoslavia as Germany's ally, but the government lead by the Regent Peter was overthrown in favor of a pro allied government. A allied Yugoslavia would've been a disaster and sooo it was occupied and sadly split up. It's important to note that Hitler didn't support the Croatian Ustase, and in fact German soldiers including the SS defended Serbian Civilians and stopped massacres. From personal family stories during the time, it was never the Germans or Italians who mistreated people, in my families case it was the Bulgarian occupation zone. We were one of the lucky ones that were just forced to change names and were left alone. Not to mention the allies let Draza Mihajlovic and the Chetniks out to dry, even if they were the better resistance movement. After the end of WW2 Yugoslavia was thrown into the arms of communism, the royalists were executed and the Croatian Ustase crimes were blamed on the Germans in the name of "Brotherhood and unity"

That is common knowledge. Watch any other documentary about jews fleeing Nazi Germany. Antisemitism was very common all over Europe. As were pogroms. The Nazis took it a step further, killing them on an industrial level.
