awe I miss it too!! maybe we could do podcasts periodically!? Would you listen/watch? And would you prefer to listen or watch on youtube?! I thought about doing a podcast on my own as a first responder's wife... but I would want a company to do the editing, filming etc. I can't take on more of that! I was doing all the editing my self. It was a lot! Jenna learned how to edit and helped in the end though! That woman can do anything I swear. It's super rad and impressive. Love having friends that are so ambitious and such go getters.

I do prayer and walk away or worship music! There's so many different genres of christian music these days, which in grateful for because sometimes I need some screamo, rap or uplifting upbeat songs and that always helps. It's very hard being a mom to two or more. Praying for you and all mommas out there!

6:57 thank you for opening up about mom rage 💜 I’ve been experiencing this myself lately for the first time and I wish it was more “normalized” as in people could talk about it more freely. As far as hair- I never used to wash it before getting my hair done but then I heard having TOO dirty of hair impedes the dye too? Could be bs but ever since then I wash and try to dry my hair the day before And PSSSSS: Loooooove the dark hair on you 😍
@KristenxLeanne11 күн бұрын
Thank you for acknowledging that. I do think that many women are afraid to talk about it because they are worried people are gonna judge them and think that they are terrible moms and to be honest I considered cutting it out as well because I don’t want people to think I’m just this impatient asshole of a mom who’s always yelling at her kids or something but I’m glad I left it in because mom rage is real and I think even my husband does not realize What it is or how trying it is to be with my kids 24 seven when he’s off and gets a break at work. It should be normalized to talk about it and to get help because it is really hard to be a mom. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done andI think I will talk more about it in the near future. I’m glad it was good for me to talk about it for you to hear it as well. Thank you so much about the hair! I do wash mine when I can lol they were actually shocked when I walked into the salon was super clean hair this time. I think it was appreciated. 😂😂
@k.65695 күн бұрын
@ idk how I missed this when it was posted but yes, please talk about it more! I think more women experience it, dare I say every woman, to one degree or another and your just not supposed to talk about it because “that’s what you signed up for” isn’t it? Personally I had no idea how hard raising a baby with no childcare at all would be… my husband and I both work, he works from home starting at 6am and watches her while he works and I drag my ass out of bed at 3:30 am to get to work and be home by 12 to take over so pair that shitty schedule with everything else- the struggle is real! I can’t even imagine going DAYS without my husband to even relieve me for a shower or to run to the store alone for 30mins or what have you!

I haven't watched your channel in so long but it popped up and you just looked so different and happy! I love that you're talking about this. My mom was always a yeller and I hate to admit it but I am definitely a yeller and I can see it coming out in my children. My nine-year-old and eight-year-old have been with my mom for a while due to personal issues and I literally can see my mother in my children and it makes me extremely sad. I'm trying so hard to change that relationship with them and also from my two-year-old who is just doing exactly what he sees. So thank you for talking about this. I feel that rage literally every single day lol but seriously
@KristenxLeanne4 күн бұрын
First of all, thank you so much and welcome back?! I hope to have you here for a while. I'm sorry to hear that you're bummed seeing some of the less desirable traits of your mom coming out in your children. That's a really hard thing for your mom to take on, although I'm sure it's also a blessing for her, but that is so tough on you. I can understand that. I'm going to be doing a video soon all about mom rage and some remedies.

I’ve been going to therapy for a few months now & I’m working on my reactivity. I grew up in an overcritical family & I get triggered when they nit pick. My therapist told me to take a deep breath when I get triggered & tell myself “They don’t know better”. It sounds stupid & it’s easier said than done. My therapist told me even if it’s not an immediate or natural response, if I think to do it an hour later or a day later, still practice that & it will come more naturally quicker. And it truly works for me. Maybe it can help in times where you get angry or frustrated with your kids. “They don’t know any better.” Best of luck ❤

I’ve stopped following so so many ppl from yrs ago because you could see the change in them and not in a good way or maybe I changed and just couldn’t relate to anything they were putting out. Well, you know what I have never checked the cost of car insurance (in the last 10 years anyways?) before I bought a car, but all of ours went up and our insurance agent said all car insurance and insurance in general was soaring so I did… and they wanted 1/3 of the monthly car payment!!! I do always wash my hair before I get it done. The main reason is because I like to already have it parted and done how I wear it so if I get highlights, they are in the spots that make sense in the front. I'm real picky with my part though. I think you should just go with however it is because you're getting it done anyway, but I am just too ocd to be able to do it that way

I love your vlog and appreciate your realness. As for hair appointment, I usually wash, dry and straighten my own hair before I get to my appointment. That’s just my own preference, I have thick Polynesian hair. I love the car, if you prefer an suv vs. a smaller car. Than do you. I do agree to have a separate car for solo errands or going out. Because I have a mini cooper and a truck. The truck is for those family fun things and big shopping. However if it’s just me, ain’t no way I’m driving that big gas guzzler and having a hard time finding parking 😩

Thank you for being real. I have mom rage when my house is a mess and it feels like no matter what I do it just stays messy. What's helped me is taking a deep breath with my kids. And also teaching them different breathing exercises when they're throwing tantrums. The two year old loves "lions breath". It doesn't help all the time but it does help most of the time. Sometimes my kids come up to me and ask if I want to take a deep breath and I'm thinking "f@#% no i don't want to take a deep breath" lol but its nice that they have gotten to where they recognize me getting upset and can remind me to breathe just like I do for them. Maybe it'll help someone here in the comments. Good luck girl.
@KristenxLeanne11 күн бұрын
GIRL you are speaking to my soul. I literally cannot stand a messy house and I feel like I spend alllll my time doing laundry and dishes and putting away said laundry and dishes and sweeting and reorganizing the cupboards and fridge and it never looks any better?? I've tried staying on top of it in smaller amounts. IE While I'm cooking, I clean and organize or wipe up and put stuff back in the cupboards or fridge as I go. And If I'm going back to my bedroom, I look around and grab things that need to go back to the bedroom to make the most of my walking around. lol That's a good idea (lions breath). I'm trying to teach harlow to be patient but when angry to do certain things to help release it, but also have those things be acceptable (it's hard!) and I'm trying to stayyyy patient. I'll be patient for like the first five minutes of a tantrum trying to deesclate, do my best to help her through it but once I've tried everything I then find myself starting to get to the end of my rope. Harlow has started talking through gritted teeth at wyatt and stuff when she gets angry and I'm like oh boy... I do that don't I? Yikes. Makes me so sad to see that rub off. I do also make it a point to apologize to anyone when I lose my temper a bit, even the dogs! Event though sometimes with her or wyatt I want to pretend like it didn' happen because I feel embarrassed, but I do make it a point to say "Hey I'm so sorry I just lost my temper. I shouldn't have, I should have done XYZ and I'm sorry about that. Can I have a hug?" and I feel better knowing I'm showing it's normal to get angry but it's also a good thing to acknowledge it and apologize. That's really sweet that they're learning the lions breath from you and doing that. Harlow has started to help me like that too! Cheers to absolutely trying our best! I'm hoping my counselor has some good tips when I see her next LOL. I also don't know if you believe in God and Satan, but I did like in that video how she mentioned every time you lose your cool with your kid to anyone, it's Satan trying to get his claws in you and get you to do and say bad things and just be shitty in general. Hearing that kind of helped because I am a very stubborn person and I am Christian and I definitely do not want to let Satan into my house hold or into my interactions with my kids or husband. All he wants to do to is see us fail. Anyways I'm supposed to be wrapp;ing gifts LOL Merry Christmas and you got this!!

Wow seeing this really today made relate 100%. It's Christmas Eve and I have a sick toddler with the stomach bug my boys just got over it last week, my husband is at work and I snapped at my 2 other children because I was completely overwhelmed. I felt terrible after it happened 😞 My toddler had just thrown up sorry tmi* piles of and piles of milk and my 2 other prefectly capable children just sat there and watched with no help what so ever. 😢 Then if that wasn't bad enough I had just cleaned up all that mess to go wash my hands and came back to her standing in her diaper with diarrhea all running down her legs! After the second time of the children just sitting there I snapped and said would someone please go grab me some paper towels in my mean mom voice. So I cleaned up that mess and then the tears just started to come, I feel terrible for snapping especially on Christmas Eve, gosh I feel like only some Scrooge would do that. Plus we aren't going to see family tonight like we usually do since we have germs that I don't want to spread. So yeah I can totally relate with snapping and feeling bad. Oh also on top of that we are in the middle of moving so yeah sh%$ has been real! Honestly I know it's not fair for the kids but there is only so much a person can take especially when husbands are gone at work. We have to give ourselves grace and be kind to ourselves. Our children know that we don't mean it even if they are small, they are very smart. I tell my husband ALL the time that he somehow misses all the fun. Anways thanks for being real, I know I appreciate it as a SAHM ❤ Happy Holidays 🎄 💖
@KristenxLeanne4 күн бұрын
Oh my gosh girl you've been tested and been through it!! I think that as long as we try to exhibit the behavior we want our children to mirror, and apologize to them when we dont, we're doing really well. Our kids do need to see that we're human and that we're not perfeft but it's really nice when they can see that we apologize when we do wrong, and move forward.

I have four children. I also homeschool... not something I ever thought I would do in my life. I take the time to do something for spiritually-read the bible. take the time do something for yourself physically-go lift weights/run. Take the time do something for yourself mentally-skin care, reading a book, take a walk outside, sometimes I will clean with my favorite music and a tea I also pray to God daily for wisdom strength and patience. However, when I feel this rage and I have pure RAGE at times. I have to stop. Then physically start taking deep slow breaths and give myself a little mental pep talk. if I can, I will separate myself from my children for a little bit.

Smart woman. I can imagine how hard that is on you to be homeschooling when other moms get a break when they take their kids to school. that is very selfless of you and very admirable. So I have an x7 and it’s turbo and if this this is a turbo it is in fact a gas guzzler. I don’t EVER drive my x7 it sits and I drive my 3500 diesel mega cab. May not be to smoother ride but it’s definitely way safer and better on gas. The car value depreciation is horrible. Literally you won’t even get half what you paid in the same year of buying it.
@KristenxLeanne8 күн бұрын
An x7 is much larger and does guzzle gas more! The x5 I was looking at is not a turbo. Gas mileage is 10 mpg better than my truck. I lease cars when I get a luxury car, so their depreciation is unimportant to me!

I could buy it, but the payment is a lot more per month to finance and I don't really wanna buy a BMW (or any luxury car). They're too expensive to fix and depreciate like CRAZY. I could buy it out at the end of my lease but that would be kind of silly since they don't hold their value!

@ that makes sense. I’m 5’11 and it’s harder for me getting in and out. I’ve had a civic and a model 3 though and did enjoy being in small cars too, but definitely not when buckling kids in car seats.

@@stellasfarmlife2465you TOTALLY get it. More than me then 😂 yeah I want to be higher off the ground. I don’t feel safe in small cars now that I’ve been in a giant truck! A civic would be so hard being 5’11!! I had a pontiac firebird and that was sooo hard to get in and out of. 😂 like here wait let me unfold myself

You know I couldn't justify it right now with how insane insurance rates are. I got some quotes and I was absolutely blown away!

@ ohhh gotcha. I thought you were thinking about keeping this one. Lol I’ve just heard if you want a car that last more than 100k bmw isn’t it. But I’m not speaking from experience, just throwing it out there. They’re cute suvs.

I love watching day in the life’s. Your personality is why people love you. Well…it’s why I love you. I don’t have kids and I still watch all your videos. We would definitely be friends in real life 👯♀️ and I LOVE the BMW. So sexy
