Love these cards, Fall is my favorite season too. Really like those stitched dies to use up those little scrap pieces. I've been using some of the sketches you link to and the most difficult part for me is keeping those layers even by adding the scraps. After so many layers, my cards end up being so thick and heavy! Your cards always look picture perfect! Thanks for another great video!

I discovered your videos a few months ago and I am hooked! I find watching you create cards so mesmerizing. I have a question for you about envelopes. With the multiple layers your cards often have - do you ever have issues with them fitting in standard A2 envelopes? And can I ask where you get your envelopes?
@KristieMarcotte4 жыл бұрын
Bonnie King Aw, thank you so much! 😊 I use A2 size envelopes for all of my cards except slimline and shaker cards. Even with the cardstock layers, the cards fit just fine. I buy envelopes by the case from Heinrich online.

Have you ever looked at Hot Off the Press Dazzles? They are very similar to the thin line Love from/for Lizi that you use. You can now find them on Amazon. There are borders, dots, stars, hearts, butterflies, words, etc., all shapes and sizes plus Christmas, halloween, Easter, fall, all sorts of pages.

Linda Walker I haven’t. Since I’m on Love From Lizi’s design team, I like to support her products whenever I can. She’s runs a small business and is the sweetest lady ever. Lizi sells almost 200 styles of her Peel Offs and I absolutely love them all. 💖

@@KristieMarcotte Well, I can understand that. I was thinking about shipping. I watched your craft room tour video. Finally, I have seen someone that has more 6x6 paper pads than I had. I did not have a nice craft room. I had a card table with a 14 inch work space and the floor. LOL. When I was placed in this "home", everything was sold. I miss all my card making and scrapbooking things. I sometimes watch such videos as yours teary eyed. I have some space in my one room for a few items to make recycled cards. But I want Santa to bring me the Echo Park Lumberjack Christmas collection. LOL There is noone here that crafts and it is hard to make someone understand what I want. Oh,well I enjoy your videos. Keep up the beautiful work and stay safe.

What determines if you use liquid glue or the tape
@KristieMarcotte4 жыл бұрын
Jan Brandt For smaller pieces, the liquid glue is easier. I also find liquid glue works best for adhering specialty cardstock. And sometimes the bottle of glue is just quicker to grab while I’m crafting. Lol!

Can I ask, is it common in America to send “Fall” cards? ....or any seasonal cards? I’ve never seen them in UK.
@rollingbnb21464 жыл бұрын
Some send Thanksgiving Cards in November or Halloween Cards in October, but it is not a big practice. These would usually be sent to family or close friends, not to a big long list as Christmas cards are. If I was sending someone a note such as in a thank you card, I would often send a card that matches the season.
@brendaworthington54234 жыл бұрын
Rolling BnB Thank you! I understand a lot more now. It’s a good idea to send thank you cards in keeping with the season....I’ve never thought of that!
@KristieMarcotte4 жыл бұрын
Brenda Worthington I like to send seasonal Thank You, Hello, Thinking of You cards. I give cards every month to the residents at a nearby retirement home and it’s fun to use seasonal designs. Not sure how common it is for other Americans. 🙂

I'm kinda confused. You use the ATG gun, then you put expensive glue over it. Why? Some YT say it gives them wiggle room - then just use the glue?????
@KristieMarcotte4 жыл бұрын
Jan Asher If I use a stitched die, sometimes the edges of the paper warp slightly. I’ve found that the ATG tape isn’t enough to adhere it down, so I’ll add some liquid glue around the edges. I don’t like to use just liquid glue on the larger pieces because it really makes the card stiff. Since I donate most of my cards I also want to make sure they stay together. I really don’t think the liquid glue is very expensive. I paid around $12 -14 for a bottle and it lasted a year. 🙂

How do you decide which card lsyout/sketches to use? I think they're a fabulous idea, but for some reason I struggle to figure out which one to use.
@KristieMarcotte4 жыл бұрын
TheFluffy1966 I select card sketches for different reasons. Sometimes it’s based on an image of sentiment I want to use. Other times it’s because of the paper scraps I have leftover. And sometimes I just want to try a new card sketch. 🙂
