HI Kristie, It’s time to tell you again how wonderful and inspiring you are! I love all you cards and it’s hard to choose favorites. I usually watch your videos while I’m on the treadmill (I have 28 grandchildren and I want to see them all grow up) and you make the time go by so fast. So then I’m exercised (ha) and inspired to craft! I am always amazed at how precise your cutting seems to be. The borders are just right every time! Amazing! Mine are always a mess and I tell myself that 1000 cards later I’ll be more precise. I think it is so cool that you use your crafting as a ministry - so many folks are lonely and sad and I know your cards must be comforting/uplifting. God bless you! Now this sounds crazy - but another element of watching your videos is that my son lives in Washington - so I feel closer to him while I’m watching here in Texas! Such is crazy mother-love. So again thank you for all that you do, and all that you do for ME! Keep you the great work - but pace yourself! Hugs, Iris: a 71 year old retiree, former History Professor (25yrs), living on a farm - lots of cows and gardens, canner of home grown blackberry jam, lousy organist for our church, pastor’s wife, and with this huge family, 8 children, I need lots of cards all year long!

Iris Sharp Aw, thank you so much! You are very kind and obviously quite busy with your lovely family. It’s my crafty OCD that helps me have fairly straight borders on my cards. A good trimmer helps as well to ensure a straight cut. Ever since I started making cards, I’ve felt the need to share them with others. Currently the retirement homes and a couple small charities are my priorities. If I can bring a bit of sunshine to someone’s day, that’s what is important. Thank you for sharing your story with me. God bless you and your family. 🌸

Yea! So glad to see your tutorial.... this paper pack is so light and pretty - perfect for summertime. I liked Tricia's idea of cutting down the 12 x 12 paper packs into 6 x 6. Some I am leaving alone for now... never know when you might need them. :-)

Kristie, I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be a subbie as You have given me new mojo and love having the sketches on your blog. I am going to town using up all my 6x6 and 4x6 paper pads. Do have one question--I have 2 tons of 12x12-- should I cut it all to 6x6 more or less making 6x6 paper? Blessings for health and safety
@kamifisher36154 жыл бұрын
I totally did that! I got some cellophane 7x7 sleeves off of Amazon and went through each 12x12 pad and took one sheet out of each pattern paper and cut into 6x6. I have completely gotten rid of all of my 12x12 for the most part.
@KristieMarcotte4 жыл бұрын
Tricia Podmore Aw, thank you so much! You are very sweet. 😊 I personally wouldn’t cut them down to 6x6 size. The designs on 12 x12 papers are sometimes rather large for card making. There are lots of one sheet wonder designs on Pintetest that work great for 12 x12 paper. Maybe I’ll use one for an upcoming card challenge. 🌸

I love your videos, I have learned so much and has also helped in creating my own cards. Thank you! When using foam tape on larger areas is there a reason you cut it up in pieces instead of leaving it whole?
@KristieMarcotte4 жыл бұрын
Angela Lafountain Thank you so much! 😊 I’ve just always cut up the foam tape. Especially when I need smaller pieces. Even on larger areas, it saves on tape to add a few smaller pieces.

When you use layers when using card sketches do you just reduce the size /measurement smaller for the top layer?
@KristieMarcotte4 жыл бұрын
Stephanie Bowles For the cardstock layers, I generally add 1/8” to the listed measurements on the card sketch. 🙂
