Hey, I'm glad u liked the video. For future you can always test out the newest verison of the program, when you check on the news box when u start Krita. That's how I was able to use the newest feautures before the actual version to be out :) Cheers!

I feel krita would have a better advantage over softwares like ...opentoonz.. Animate..pencil 2d ...due to clipping mask and alpha lock which can help to render your final animation.

animate is way better than krita. it has tweening with 2 clicks, symbol creation, and MUCH more to get a better animation.

just recently found you -- these are actually really helpful, i was wondering how many fps do you usually animate? and maybe a suggestion, add some light background music in your videos? really looking forward to learn more from you or even just watch your animations -

Hey! Recently I started to animate on lower frame rate like 12 fps, when i put everything together I render my video at 24 fps. Thanks for the comment btw, I sometimes put some music, you will see in some other videos, I think it really is up to my mood when I edit :D Take care!

This was really helpful! Although I am wondering how you moved your selection in a completely straight line, particularly in your last few animation curve frames to move the pumpkin off screen?? I would love to know how to do this so I can have images phase smoothly across the screen. Thank you!

I'm sorry. your doing good at explaining but My animation curves docker doesn't look like that. I followed the tutorial to a tee but I can't get past the fact that the docker is missing a lot of what you are showing. I'm missing the vertical lines, the speed setting, and the stop and start that yours have. I'm stuck. your the only tutorial covering this topic and I don't know where else to go.

Hey, no probs! I will try to help. First make sure you are using Krita Beta 5 version (just google it). Second did you add the "tranfsorm mask" to your animation layer? If you haven't add the tranfsorm mask (because that's what we are animating in that timeline) then that could be the reason why you don't see the other values. Remember we are just animating the tranfsorm mask layer in the "Animation Curves". Let me know how it goes? :)

@@Munkaa I have 4.4.8 does that mean that my version doesn't support animation curves? google says this version is stable. that mean beta 5 isn't stable?

Yeah, Krita 5 is yet not that stable, I'm still using it tho, just make sure you save often. As I said in the video when you decide to do the tweening part just make sure you save your file and start from there. Hope that helps :) krita.org/en/item/second-beta-for-krita-5-0/

I have a question. So I applied a transformation mask to the object I drew and I opened the animation curves docker, but when the docker opened and I tried to add a keyframe in it, no keyframe was created. Do you have any troubleshooting advice/videos on tweening animation in Krita that could help?

Hey Munka hope you're doing well! I'm facing a problem with motion tweening. I've followed both your tutorials to a T but I can't get the transform tool to create a new keyframe when I use it move the drawing... I'm on the official version of kirta 5 and I've been trying everything I can for the past couple of hours but it's not working. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

Did you try manualy adding the keyframe from the button on the animation curves timeline? Remember first you make that tranfsorm mask layer on the animation layer you want to move(transform), then you need to select that tansform mask layer and go on the animation curves timeline and add a keyframe, I believe without a keyframe it won't add automaticaly a new keyframe. Hope that helps!

@@Munkaa oh yes, I did it exactly as you showed... I made a transform mask and added a keyframe manually on the curves timeline with the transform mask selected... I still can't figure out why transform tool isn't working like it should :/

@@Munkaa I tried restarting krita a couple times too... It only adds a keyframe when I click the "create a keyframe" option. The transform tool itself doesn't have any effect on the curves timeline, it's like it doesn't even register the movements done with the transform tool. I can only move the position when I create a new key frame manually and then try to tweak the graph itself... but that's too unpredictable :(

Well that's odd. Try the old uninstal and instal back again, it could be a bug as well...
