Rokit 5 all the way! They sound more balanced, neutral, and closer to the original track. The Rokit 8 sound a bit boxy to my ears and they need some EQing treatment to be reliable. This is really interesting as many people have a firm belief that bigger speakers are better. I suppose the Rokit 5 suit styles with plenty of acoustics more like Jazz and Classic music while the Rokit 8 seem to be better for Electronic genres.

I have krk rokit 5 g4 and they are amazing so flat for edm producers and sounds good even in untreated room

Hmm usually the bigger Versions sound as good, if not even better most times, like the Eris 8 vs. the 5, but i must say, that here, the smaller ones sounds better overall. While the big one naturally has more punch in the bass and low mids departement, the 8G4's twist in soundsignature caused by the 1k peak and the 2k drop change the sound dramatically and not for the better. The rest sounds more or less the same, with only slight differences in clarity and stage. so here i'd say the smaller ones win.

I feel like my rokit 5 have no bass at all... like the 808's sound like they are not even there, it sounds less than flat, can I get some advice??? My room is 4x4m and I have no subwoofer

@@cardwarsking2927 que raro la respuesta de los krk es de los 43 Hz - 40 Khz, por ende se debería de escuchar el bajo y el 808 también, talves es por que no tenga tratada acústicamente tu habitación, lo que podrías hacer es irte a escuchar por el costado de tus monitores como llendote a la esquina de tu habitación y ahí es donde se amontonan los sub, si es así es por que falta tratar bien acústicamente tu habitación o talves tus monitores estén muy abajo de tus oídos cqudni los escuchas., pero aún así para un home studio te recomendaría los krk Rokit 7 G4. Pará que se escuche mejor los graves

Amazing work I love the comparisons you do Can you please do a Edifier s2000mkiii vs klipsch R51pm And since we know klipsch lack a bit on bass compared to edifier, maybe a add a 10” -12” subwoofer to klipsch during the test to make them a match I am leaning towards klipsch buying r51pm with 12” klipsch sub as klipsch sound more crisp in your other videos. Edifier is good also but seems like mid range gets heavier rather than crisp klipsch vocals

Odd.. The 5's sound closer to source and seem more defined. The 8's sound like they are lacking in the upper mid range.

That is not odd at all IMO. 5 inch speakers usually deal with midrange better than 8 inch speakers do

@@DSAUDIOreview Maybe it could be because of the room size, idk much about it and idk how big is the room you do the testing, but i see some people talking about not getting a speaker that is too big for your room cause the bass builds up easily in the room o smt like that

I guess a pair of rokit 5 and a subwoofer will considerably outperform a pair of rokit 8: you get better midrange, and better bass, for not so much more money
