I've had my Kronos for nearly 2 years (Purchased 4/2/2018) and I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface of what this amazing instrument can do. I love it more everyday.

The Korg flagships are the best in the world. From Triton all the way to Kronos 2, haven't ever played and wanted to buy anything else, was overjoyed when they ported the older synths sounds into my Kronos as I really love them along with the newer gen tech. The next workstation will be immense. I'm already saving in prep (lol) for a undoubtedly big hike in cost as the world struggles on. Totally worth every penny though.

I'm scared when I simply want to add a combi to one of the few set lists I'm trying to fill. You choose a slot and tell the Kronos to put it there and EVERYTHING moves around, stuff gets lost, changes position, etc. And the set list looks different the next time you turn the Kronos on! I wish there was a turotrial to say "Here's how you safely put a combi in place and build a set list without everything shifting around and getting out of order! Great machine but SO overthought! 72,000 more bells & whistles & options than most working players need on a gig or in the studio IMO.

Why couldn't Korg put Set List mode into the Krome? Even a limited version would have been fantastic.

looneyburgmusic its part of the business.. If theyll do that, some kronos buyers will just get the krome if they are not into the some other features of the kronos.

Why no cue list or auto load for songs? Two very strong needed features. Never thought when I owned my Triton and added a hard drive to it so long ago. These features would go away.

But what about explaining why when I assign stereo analog strings to a set list it drops the sound an octave? How to fix that?

Select your setlist sound in the SETLIST mode, hit EDIT in the bottom left corner, and you should see the option to adjust "volume" and "trans" parameters at the top of the screen. Hope this helps.

Wish there was a COMMAND Z - I just tried to go and do some of that cutting & pasting of of a new combi into a slot and now the Set List has taken on the name of a Combi & I've lost stuff & I have a nightmare. Does anybody do online paid help (Face time or whatever?) AND, VERY IMPORTANT.. If add notes (text) in that slot for them? Don't forget to go up in the right corner drop down menu & WRITE COMBI...or those won't be there next time.

Just before 9:00 is where I'm lost. Choose, Cut,, shift, slide, replace, moves over ...OMG I wish there was an empty set list where I could just say "PUT this combi in slot 5 and don't do ANYTHING ELSE! PLEASE? LOL ..GREAT IDEA! But In practice? I stay lost...a year later! Ouch!

There are two ways for you to go about this. 1) Assign the Combi directly from the SETLIST mode. This is by far the easiest and quickest way. This won't change the layout of other sounds. 2) Select the Combi the way you have been doing(from the COMBI mode), choose an empty setlist from 127 remaining, choose the destination cell. If you are replacing an existing cell, this action will shift everything by 1 position to the right. To fix this in 2 CLICKS, select the cell to the right(the one you wanted to originally replace) and hit CUT.

Be aware that if you have a Set List "saved", next time you load a PCG file, your Set List is overwritten. The advice is to backup your current PCG to the HDD or an external storage device. I wish I would've known... so many edits I had done and got them lost :(

Yep, I'm nervous working with SET LIST. Greatest IDEA ever, but simply adding a combi makes everything slide around & my fingers are crossed next time I turn the Kronos on. The orders has change - something's been pushed off....UGH!

This is something the triton had albeit not quite as good. My question is why do other synths with better sounds not utilize something as awesome as this? I heard the kurzweill artis has 6 "favourites" buttons. I mean really? :( Maybe the kronos is the natural evelution for me

Just purchased the Kronos one of the main thing i was interested was the patten drum loops! but they are terrible. Sounds like they where all played by the same drummer, No soul beats what ever, No R&B BUT R&B + HIPHOP Together as a loop. Don't get that. Loads of Techno loops! who wants them. You will struggle to find any decent beat to put in your setlist for performance

I would venture to guess that the percentage of players who do any sequencing and playback from the actual keyboard is becoming so small that it's hard to justify implementing certain features like Cue Lists. SetLists are providing a way to arrange and use Combis/Prog/Songs for the vast majority of use cases.

@@eugeneprystupa5075 I see your point, but I still say it was laziness and a mindless omission. Some example of proof is that for the krome, they brought it back. I think principally because people were complaining that it wasn't there in Kronos. Hopefully their next high-end workstation iteration will see a return of this super helpful useful arrangement tool
