J-hope said that the original Chicken Noodle Soup by Bianca Bonnie and Webstar was the first song he learned to dance to, and he wanted to pay homage to it. It's a song about remembering where you came from. Jhope was heavily invested in dance from his teen years and this song tells his story, then Becky comes in and adds her sweet touch. I love this song.

The mv was filmed in DTLA outside the, El Pato Salsas factory. There are car meet-ups there on weekends. The area has long been famous for car racing in the adjacent LA Riverbed, and was shown in lots of movies, like Grease. You can see the dtla skyline behind the railway cars when j-hope and BeckyG are dancing, and the 101 freeway behind j-hope in the beginning and his dance solo sequence. They did an incredible job finding a historically rich location with that urban feel. j-hope also credited every single dancer from The Lab at the end if the mv. He paid the original songwriter Bonnie Bianca, aka YoungB, $2.7 million to buy the rights to her song and remake it. The og CNS was meaningful to he and BeckyG both, as it was the first song they both learned choreo to when they began dancing. BTW, "Santo" means "Saint" in Spanish. Becky said, "Face of a Saint, but freaky". Post-production was done by Big Hit is S. Korea. I suspect that's why it doesn't have the Spanish subtitles.

And Jhope flew to L.A to shoot This Video with a former POWER RANGER Cast and Singer Becky G. Jhope just remake the former Chicken Noodle soup aka king of Harlem if im correct Young star aka DJ webstar is the original and Jhope paid thousands of Dollars to remake this because this song is the song that inspires him to dance. this was Jhopes Solo work in which he uses his own money to remake this song and cast alot of people in L.A for a wonderful work. Ok it actually filmed in downtown L.A. off the 10 freeway, in an industrial area. It was done in a one shot with the exception of the transition to night. That was the only time the shot switched. Even when it went to the blimp...it stayed one shot. Yes Hobi paid almost 3 million to DJ Webstar and Young B (Bianca, who currently is on the Housewives of Atlanta). And any proceeds made from this version went directly to them...Hobi Made no money off this version. He said he did it for the love of the song. When he first started studying dance, this was the first song he learned a routine to. And across the world about the same time, Becky G. did the same thing, it was her first routine she learned. So it is very close to their hearts. But that should also tell you what kind of person Hobi is. I know I'm late to the reaction, and I'm sorry I missed it when you first posted it ... but I hope you do more not just BTS but more k pop.. there are so many groups u should check out.. Keep in mind, with k pop every group has rappers, dancers, and amazing singers. Please take a look...

I’m sure you probably know already this is a remix cover of 2006 track by artists Webster & YoungB (Bianca) but I wasn’t sure when ‪J-Hope‬ would release it. He said it was the reason he found his passion for dancing and joining BTS, he also mentioned this was supposed to be part of his first mixtape “Hope World” that it was his idea to do a remake cover of the song which gave him inspiration to pursue dance & music; so he collaborated with BECKY G. J-Hope paid 2.7 Million dollars for the rights to remake the song then released it for free on SoundCloud. :) Both J-Hope and Becky G remember this being one of the first songs they learned to dance to in dance classes as kids. The original Chicken Noodle Soup write DJ Webstar and Young B in 2006. BTS at their concert Sowoozoo on June 14th all seven members perform this song, it's very funny :D
