I'm so sick of people comparing some of my favourite bands to nightwish! They sound nothing alike... Gothic metal is a combination of symphonic metal with a female singer and usually heavier guitar parts so yeah they might have the same instruments but people please! Awesome music video by the way :)

@joethemetaldude Nightwish and WT both started in 1996. Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride are among the 'founders' of the Gothic Metal genre and were around years before that, Tiamat made albums in the early 90s that fell under the Gothic genre too (Wildhoney). If you base it on having a female singer The Gathering and Theatre of Tragedy would be a better comparison still, both were around before Nightwish, and Krypteria has 'regular singing' most of the time instead of an 'opera voice'.

This song isn't metal, but a lot of Krypteria's songs are. If anything, it'd be more of heavy rock in this song. But most i'd consider symphonic/power metal.

YES Nightwish developed this kind of gothic metal, but the whole idea is to open the door for all the other bands who would like to try the same music ,so there is absloutly nothing wrong with that,on the contrary this is the way to improve the genre..anyways,the girl doesn't give the "gothic" vibe but she is cute and has nice voice,the music is ok.
