Given: 1:200 mL ratio, and 3.35 gallon, we just need to have the same units. If 1 gallon = 3.78 L, then 3.5 gallon = 13.23 L. However, we need to convert to mL instead of L. Since “mili” is 1000, we multiply by 1000 to get total volume. 13.23 L * 1000 = 13,230 mL. With the same units now in mL, no gallon or L, we can do some algebra; formula y = ratio * volume y = 1/200 * 13,230 mL = 66.15 mL Basically any dilution you need to convert the units to be the same, metric to imperial and vice versa. 66.15 mL = 2.24 oz soap in a 3.5 gal bucket.

If you suffer from limescale, which is not unusual, then I really recommend a rinse aid and protectant for after the wash, and certainly before the winter starts. I particularly like to use Nanolex SiSplash on my Cabron Black X5. Use Reset or Nerta WE64 as the main wash. The Nanolex will help you maintain a better condition of the paint. Next year a round of Sonax Perfect Finish on a yellow Rupes Pad, for example. Next year, take the time to put in some serious time. Best of luck in advance.

@@ThisOldDetailingDude my coating was fine after this. I was thinking 20:1 though, but I know that foam cannons already dilute the reservoir about 100:1 or something like that give or take. I know for Carpro Descale they say dilute 10:1 in a foam cannon or 100:1 in a bucket so I just did that lazy math that way.

I always use percent per volume. Basically 10 per volume of RTU is 100 ml of chemical and 900ml of water. 200:1 is technically 1/201 for the percentage of water to chemical. 1/201 equals roughly 50ml in a 10,000ml solution. 10,000ml equals 1 liter. Whick is a little over 33oz I think for the Yanks.

Not water spots themselves per se but it does help with calcium deposits and lifestyle left by water run off and use of hard water over time. Water Spot removers are still best for any hose or sprinkler spray left of the surface to bake in the sun.

Just FYI, for some reason the discount codes don't work for Koch Chemie. At least they didn't for me when i tried to check out with the new GSF Gentle Snow Foam X-Mas edition, and the Rs Reactivation Shampoo. It said neither of them is applicable woth discount codes. I tried your code, along with DI's own SEMA23 code, and neither would take anything off the Koch Chemie products. They did work with other items in my cart, so it's not that the codes themselves expired or anything...

Curious if you got your hands on either of Avalon King's upcoming ceramic coating releases? The new Armor Shield MAX ($89 for 30ml), which is an upgrade to their Armor Shield IX, supposed to be a 50% increase in performance, and go from 2 to 3 years lifespan on a single coat. As well as their new professional nano-diamond coating, the GOAT ($199 for 50ml), which they claim will provide a minimum of 5 years of protection, increased hydrophobics, gloss, slickness, chemical resistance, fine scratch resistance, etc... Seems like a lot of brand's are releasing "nano-diamond" coatings, all around the same approximate time. CarPro has a few coming out, just announced at SEMA...Wonder if they're all using or licensing from the same base coat manufacturer? Cause it's not easy creating nano-diamond particulates, and requires a serious manufacturing process, that involves large factories, many processes, and lots of space and research required. Nano-diamonds were originally identified by Russian scientists, but only fairly recently has enough research occured to allow for their manufacturing at scale, as well as researching all the possible applications. For instance, their use for a lot of medical purposes...as a coating on nerve endings to improve signal strength and accuracy, as an example. Nano-diamonds are created by utilizing a large and fast explosive sorrounded by carbon or graphite dust in an enclosed, contained space. After the explosion many nano-diamond's are created, but are mixed in with a bunch of other by-products. It's a somewhat complicated process just to isolate and harvest the nano-diamonds out of the cloud of other by-products. Sorry I got side-tracked, lol! Also, I'm not an expert, that's just what I earnes about them so far, as I was curious what the hell nano-diamonds actually are.

Never bothered. @scott hd showed some evidence that they just buy from a chinese supplier that sells the same coating for like 15 dollars on aliexpress. Carpro appears to come up with their own nano diamond fomula. They released d.quartz pro a year ago. look on their site they give a better explanation of the nao diamonds thing on their d.quartz go product page.
@BigBear--
@BigBear-- 10 ай бұрын
@@BelLavoroAutoSpa yeah that Scott HD video is nonsense as for the conclusions or tone. Most companies use chemical blenders or other large manufacturers to actually produce, customize and but their products from. You think CarPro is charging you their factory price? Their coating at the factory costs about the same per bottle, $5-12, maybe $15 on the high end. This is neither surprising, shocking, or damning of any one brand. Bottom line is how does it perform?
@BelLavoroAutoSpa
@BelLavoroAutoSpa 10 ай бұрын
@BigBear-- that's not the point here. Avalon King is charging a premium for a cheap chinese coating. Carpro is selling a good coating that is their own formula, tried and true. I have no problem with companies reselling. I do have a problem with marketing companies selling cheap stuff like it's the second coming of Jesus. That's why I don't bother with companies like Avalon King.
@BigBear--
@BigBear-- 10 ай бұрын
@@BelLavoroAutoSpaThen you're missing my point. Most companies have blenders or other manufacturers produce their coatings. They might work with them to tweek the formulas, and call it their own. But that's the base of the industry, including companies you call "premium". Even if they produce their own, their costs are about the same as other coatings, yet they sell them for "premium" prices as well. There's no miracles here...every company selling you things has a huge markup than what their factory cost is. In fact as for nano-diamond tech, there's likely just one or two actual manufacturers of nano-diamond coatings. CarPro buys from them just like everyone else. Does their product work, and does it perform like everyone else's for a similar price range is the only question that really matters. All Scott HD found is who the manufacturer is of Avalon King, not what formula they use. No one "cracked the case" on Avalon King, cause there was no case to crack, and singling them out as some sort of scammers is nonsense. People seem glad to pay $70-100 for 2-3 year coatings from CarPro, GTECHNIQ, Gyeon, etc...why should they be upset paying $50-90 for similar 2-3 year performance from Avalon King?
@BelLavoroAutoSpa
@BelLavoroAutoSpa 10 ай бұрын
@@BigBear-- Brother believe me I am well aware of chemical blenders and how things go. I know what blenders most companies are using. I even sell products from a blender. A LOT of the coatings if not all that come from China are pretty not great, but they are just okay. The companies that sell the actual good coatings are using US, Japan, and EU based blending facilities. Avalon King isn't even a company run by detailers or people that know anything about detailing, they are a marketing company reselling a mediocre chinese coating for a premium. There is a reason there isn't a single respectable detailing supply retailer that offers their brand. Carpro, Gtechniq, Gyeon, etc make much better coatings and they can almost always be found from companies with wholesale programs at a better rate. They are also run by people that detail cars and have a network of detailing professionals they certify to keep their brand name reputable. Avalon King lasts about a year in real world. Every person I know that has used it was new to detailing at the time, was very underwhelmed once it started performing poorly, and moved onto a better brand once they learned more.
