I had a similar wound. Pn my foot amd hand and lost a few fingers. And. It is very difficult especially to get the dampness correct or dry or wet. It's super hard. And you basically have to treat it yourself and tell the nurse.

@@scottykingdavid and our hands are tied when insurance will only cover 2-3 visits a week when a patient still needs daily wound care; if they are 100% dependent upon others for their care, they we **might** get approval for more. So here we're are, the professionals, trying to teach someone how to care for their wound while they are still processing their traumatic event. I had a patient who had a significant, life altering event while pregnant. Not only did she have the amputation to deal with, but also a premature baby that had to be immediately delivered and 2 other kids at home. On top of it all, she had to do it alone as her partner was in another country and not able to get back to her.

This poor girl 😢😢 what a traumatic experience! A friend of mine was run over by a semi truck & lost both his legs. He experienced a lot of depression after the accident. But I promise things will get better! He has 2 prosthetic legs & is able to walk again. And he got married to a beautiful woman and has 2 wonderful children. But understandably it was a long road to get to that point. Unfortunately it's a long hard & painful process. But I promise you will come out on top! You have a strong support system & you are beautiful inside & out!! And your strength is to be admired. But Justice is necessary for your healing! ❤❤❤❤ sending love & support!! Yes I'm from Pittsfield Massachusetts back in 1997 a woman was hit by a dump truck in the crosswalk zone right in front of the courthouse in Pittsfield Mass she herself lost both legs she also survived the accident losing both legs what a traumatic experience even though she received $4 million dollars not enough to replace your legs. Dump truck driver didn't even see her at least that's what he said.

I have an 18 yr old daughter and this strikes a chord with me, that poor girl, her mom and dad are probably also traumatized, I hope they’re all in therapy as this is absolutely life changing for all of them. How awful for her to experience so much pain, an innocent girl just starting life. She is a 74 yr old quadriplegic who had a diving accident at 17 yrs old. She is a very strong Christian who has been on tv, best-selling author & she is a disabilities advocate. Janae is such a pillar of strength, the amount of pain she has endured at such a young age, her life has forever changed. I recently suffered 2nd and third degree burns to 20% of my body and the intense pain is next level, I never thought I could feel this much pain. That is just a fraction of what beautiful Janae has had to endure. For those who don't know what the outcome of this horrific ordeal was... the defendant Daniel Riley was found guilty on all but one count: "second-degree assault, armed criminal action, & operating a vehicle without a valid license." He was out on bond at the time of the crash in a pending robbery case, even though he had violated the conditions of his release many times." He sped through caution signs when another driver crashed into him. Riley's car pin this beautiful girl between his car & a parked car. It was proven that the other driver wasn't at fault bc they had no time to react to Riley running right through the caution signs. I'm wondering if there's going to be a civil suit to pay for whatever ins didn't cover plus her trauma, pain & suffering, not to mention any future surgeries she may have to undergo. What Janae has been able to accomplish in the aftermath is nothing short of amazing. I wish her nothing, but happiness & good health.

I know what you have been through is hard. You are so beautiful and courageous. I haven't been through what you been through, but something so traumatic it took a lot of my life away. I can tell you that it's healing picking up your pain and using it to help others. As hard as it was forging was responsible for me moving on with my life. You're forgiving for yourself. Your saying"I'm not going to let you(that) control my life. When you are ready. It took or almost destroyed me reliving it daily. I saw progress when I forgave that person.
