Ruby has 6 kids. 2 are in college & dont speak to her. 2 are found at her biz partner, Jodi's, home (a few hours away) abused and starved. These two teenage girls are found at her 3rd biz partner's home being used as housemaids, too terrified to speak, in yet another part of the state. Strange all rhe way around.

He’s bothered that his wife is sitting in the back of a patrol car. What about the two innocent kids lying in a hospital bed because your wife’s “friend” is arrested for alleged child abuse. I’ve watched every single video on this case and nobody, absolutely nobody except the 911 caller and his wife, the first responders and law enforcement showed any shock or disbelief when hearing about how the children were found and the condition they were in. Unbelievable.

exactly never once did Ruby ask how the foster parents were treating her children never once did she take any responsibility or express any remorse for what she said she was brainwashed to do that is so ridiculous she keeps on crying about the situation that she's in and she doesn't want to put herself in those children's shoes that is so definite narcissist and I feel like this is a Jada Will Smith situation and her husband is probably feeling great being in control for once and she finally needs him

@@thegreencat9947 I can’t remember why I commented that way. I really doubt it was trafficking. It was cruelty to a degree that is so scary. It is so sad what these kids went through. There is nothing in the Bible about being cruel to defenseless children. So, this whole belief was based on something other than the belief in Jesus Christ. Franke and Hilldebrant were torturing kids. Jail isn’t harsh enough for what they did. I pray these children, the littles and the older kids get the help they need to heal mentally, and physically. They were let down by everyone in their sphere that should have helped them. The husband, the grandparents, aunts, uncles. Those children are lucky to be alive.

This is so triggering! Raised LDS, severely abused, taught that law/ police were bad. We were "pimped out" for free labor for babysitting, yard work, house work, put in terrible situations- all for the "glory and good image of my parents". When abuse (S, E, P) was discovered, no one came to help us. We were told the bishop knew, and that was enough. I hid their lies and abuse for too long! It took my years as an adult and therapy to finally fight. And now that i have repeatedly reported mine, siblings, and even current ongoing abuse nothing will be done. (With ample proof and documentation) The "church" has say and power over all of it. They are enmeshed in the law enforcement and CPS/DCFS. It is disgusting to watch this man act so entitled with no concern about the kids. I would guess that the older girls were being forced to work for these people, and others- just like R and E at Jodie's and the planned ranch in Arizona. There is too much to say or write. This is a huge issue, especially within "The LDS Church".

This is the first time I’ve seen anything about this story. I’m completely blown away by everything that has transpired in this video. I know that there is definitely something suspicious going on when the police officer asked the young girl if she was okay and clearly it’s obvious she is not by her body behavior. She’s very upset and scared and afraid of being in this situation. I’m a former EMT. I’ve had many calls involving children and their parents and abuse and traumatized by their parents. The end result was heartbreaking for me to witness that all. Seeing this video gave me a PTSD moment from my time as an EMT. I was glad to see the one officer show some compassion towards the young girl. I live in australia. One of my daughters had a friend who's family were members of LDS. All I can say, is whenever that child came to my house, be it for a birthday party, or a playdate, the parents would be literally, up to 5 hours late, in picking her up. They had been at the temple. Every time I dropped the child home, they were not there. When i would call them and explain that I was not comfortable leaving a six year old alone, They would begrudgingly take an hour or more to come home from the temple, only because I insisted, and refused to leave her. I have no doubt they went straight back there as soon as I left. These cults treat children like they are nothing. Scientology is the same. If not way worse.

Um. Well. I cleaned my parents' friend's house a couple times when I was growing up. Dusting and mopping the floor, mostly. Had a lovely convo during and after, borrowed books, learned a lot from a very cultured woman, and definitely didn't feel lent out. It's pretty normal to ask your children to do favors or do them yourself for others, especially when say one of them just started walking after ankle surgery and they have company coming in from out of country that night (allegedly although they corroborated that independently). Doing favors or asking for favors isn't inherently evil. The lack of emotional responses these two had to what they were being told is. Pam was completely unsurprised about the abuse allegations. And the casual way that he lied about calling Greg? I was totally confused at how many Gregs this guy knew when all of a sudden a window-guy Greg showed up minutes after he called his attorney Greg. I'm not saying these two are saints - something is definitely off about them - and I am FAR from defending Ruby or Jody, but in general and in a HEALTHY way encouraging your children to help others fosters empathy in them. Getting money for a task isn't always the best reward.

Having been brought up in a physical, mentally, emotionally and sexually abusive home your biggest fear is that you will be the one who says the one thing that causes your parents to get in trouble. You know that the trouble your parents are in is going to be nothing compared to the trouble you will be in!!!! Close your eyes and listen to the female officer ask questions. To a child who is scared beyond belief it sounds like she’s grilling that child. Children who have survived debilitating trauma and abuse retreating into yourself is the ONLY safe place to be!! Why the man who owns the house says he needs to protect the young girl and then asks the officers, in a whiny “oh poor me and my wife” loud tone of voice is ridiculous. He needs to move away and talk to the officers. I spent most of my life, from the time I was 10 years old, in therapy. My whole problem with this whole situation is a no one really ever spoke to those girls and be when they were told they had to go and to go get their stuff The DCF worker said we're going to put your bag in the trunk and then the other worker proceeded to go through all the girls belongings. They might be minors but they still deserve a little respect and empathy for the situation that they're going through. They're obviously teenagers and you mean to tell me that these adults could not tell them we have to check your bag. It's one thing they're going through the situation that they're in but then it's another thing that these people that are supposed to protect them turn around and violate them. I pray for the children don't know the outcome of the story if it is true that the parents were abusive to the younger siblings than they deserve to be dealt with accordingly. I just pray in the end that the children are okay, someone made a comment about the poor girl not answering if she had shoes or what school she went to. I don't know if you've ever dealt with DCF where ever had family issues. It wasn't that they were afraid to speak they obviously have dealt with DCF at some point in the past because most children who have will not sit there and talk to DCF because there's a saying destroyers of children and families. Not all DCF cases are warranted obviously this one is. But you can talk to former DCF social workers and they will tell you they lie, they bully and they do whatever they need to do to get the outcome they want. That's why there's always such a large turnover in that department. For these kids I hope that the workers they have are really there to help them and not just put them in further harm!

The rec center said A left with Pam early for a family emergency. Bogus. Ruby trying to hide. Ruby told Pam to pick up the other kid at ACE. So she did. The police didn’t know a child was picked up at another location. Just that not at Jodi’s and not at their home. The reason Pam didn’t take the kids home or to their mom was to hide them. The reason she got her before he shift ended yet had time for ice cream stop first was cause she was told to get away from places she would be found. They would not expect her at Pam’s or ice cream place. They would expect the girls home or at work. Ruby left the kids to leave the country alone why on earth would a 15 and 16 year old not be okay in the house for a time? She didn’t drop the girls at where there mom was. Or home. Or Kevin’s. Or a relative. And she said she would bring them home later. She really had no other answer to how long they would be at her house. So why not just drop them off after collecting them without the floor scrubbing and ice cream? Weird isn’t it. The reason she was not charged is she didn’t obstruct the police from taking them into foster care and she did not harm the two little ones at the center of the initial incident.

the saddest part of this is the simple fact that these children are psychologically destroyed by these adults in a way that will never be rectified. They will live with mental anguish for the rest of their lives because of these adults. The amount of therapy that will be necessary for these children to begin to live a normal decent life is astronomical.

I'm from Scotland and I find this absolutely heart-breaking - at no point do any of the adults show any genuine concern or care for these children !. Its obvious straight from the outset that the occupants KNOW that whatever illegal practices have been going on have just abruptly ended and they are now trying their utmost to find out exactly what the police know. There's zero shock at the police at the door, it took the man approx 1m 50secs to ask 'Have you got a warrant ? I just hope these poor children are now with a decent, loving, law-abiding family - but in today's America what's the chances of that ??'

The lack of any reaction from the two adults upon learning their buddy, the kids' [free workers] mom was arrested and that children were found malnourished and LOCKED IN A SAFE [probably a cage with a lock on it or they'd suffocate] but still, the lack of reaction from either is shocking. Wouldnt you be appalled upon hearing that? Apparently an older sibling had tried for years to get CPS on the case and was just ignored. Unbelievable all around.
