That is the most kerbal rocket the world has ever seen. You took the KSP motto of "when in doubt, add boosters" to a whole new level.

its not the fact that its hard, its the fact that they have no money to spend building something like this. they are just starting to THINK about launching the SLS, where, it can only go as far as Mars.
@zegamingcuber857
@zegamingcuber857 6 жыл бұрын
porkypine they don't have to build something this crazy, as I'm pretty sure fuel drains much quicker in KSP than it does IRL.
@JD-wr7fu
@JD-wr7fu 6 жыл бұрын
ZeGamingCuber Yes, you are right. Fuel in KSP drains faster, the engines are heavier, the tanks are heavier, the capsules are heavier. So, no, not something this ridiculous, but my point of the money problem is why we haven't gone to any other celestial body other than the moon yet. That stuff still cost LOTS of money, even if it doesn't have to be as big as this monstrosity.

A few things to add: *Such a mission profile takes 6 earth years to reach pluto, not 60, therefore no need to freeze-dry the spacemen. *You can simply do an upward launch to Charon from Pluto, thanks to mutual tidal locking of Pluto and Charon.

To me, the smaller the moons get, the more frightening they look, particularly the ones that do not have enough mass to build a spheric shape. Furthermore, the less gravity, the more difficult the movements get for the kerbal astronauts. They must be careful to not fly away into space, as shown on the asteroids in the "Armageddon" movie.
