Ive used the Sepratrons as an emergency deorbit. I just ran out of fuel trying to land my space plane and i had an escape pod just encase i messed up launching or re entering kerbin it had 4 of them pointing back and i used them for that last little push to catch some atmosphere so i could decay from orbit.

Maybe they should have spent more time making a good product instead of whimsical terms for game failures and... funny we'll call them, gag items and descriptions.

at 2 and a half minutes in, you totally missed a shot at saying "We need the swivels engine ability to swivel". Nice video by the way, i like how you explain the smaller in between steps a lot better, this videos are probably the clearest and most easy to understand of all the tutorials out there!

I think 1 thing ksp2 does right is size, When I did my first mun landing in ksp 1 things felt alot smaller. But in ksp 2 it gives the feeling that everything is bigger then you think, Like its real

It's crazy how the majority of my playtime in both ksps has been with you talking on my second screen, love the content. As a general idea for a video: try going as fast as possible with some sort of limitation like a specific amount of deltaV and just grav assists or something.. or just a voyager inspired mission.

If you want to heres a cool video idea. In KSP, you should see if the idea of oblique wings translates well. I think it would be pretty interesting. For example, you could construct the AD-1

It's even crazier to think that KSP is only at 1/10 real scale. The real planets are around 10 times bigger (Kerbol is 1/3 the size of Sol so idk if it's just supposed to be really big or something else)

also thrust to weight ratio doesnt work anymore with solid rocket boosters. atleast my solid rockets arent supplying near as much thrust as yours were.

MATT, I have a space station idea. Since Artemis has been rolling along "smoothly" could you do the lunar gateway space station? its tiny compared to other space stations and it'd look cool in either KSP1-2.

Have you experienced the bug where radially attached parachutes don't deploy? Staged or from the part manager. And have you found a way to work around it?(other than just not using radial parachutes)

I think if you want to just gather Kerbin science, it's best to just make a plane so you can easily stick around places you want then move quickly to a new zone. I'm not sure why you thought scanning one biome was gonna give a significant payout on Kerbin.

The idea would be to plan an efficient route through where biomes are close together, so it'd be way faster than say crossing an ocean to get to a beach. Even though planes don't have a high top speed, rockets take a while to launch up and slow down, and are rarely used to hop between multiple areas on one planet, especially with Kerbin's dense atmosphere and deep gravity well. All in all I think good routing makes up the difference and more.

Maybe someone should poke the devs and suggest having the recover button pop up in the bottom right corner as soon as you return to Kerbin. It can just remain there until you choose to go elsewhere (Mission control, VAB etc) makes far more sense than having to back into the menu to click recover.

Idk if this is just a bug or if they updated the physics or smth but I built the same rocket and had nearly identical delta V (it was like 30 or so higher than in the video) but my rocket would just fall to the floor on launch even with the rockets at full thrust 🫤
