You attached the parachutes to the body, and then displaced them up to the nose, but their anchor points are still the main body...hence they float. Parts function from where you attach, displace is only to make things look different, not function different. Its why displacing a bunch of engines, or intakes into each other works.

so its a bug anyway

Looks like the whole displacing idea is a terrible solution for a sim. Cause sim have to _simulate_ something reletivly close to natural physics. Could you imagin something even a mile close to what shown in this video? Verdict: game is very raw at the moment.

I've had the landing leg 'blocked' thing, too. And it definitely was not blocked. And there are some solar panels that simply don't extend or retract. I avoid those. Sometimes engines spontaneously offset themselves, but I haven't isolated any common cause. That said, I've been able to send Kerbals to Duna and back, and crewed Mun/Minmus runs are pretty routine. Quicksave often. The game's much better than it was in February, but I do wish they would release bug fixes more often.

Yeah it's just so random and takes twice as long to do a mission haha
@christopherlperezcruz1507 Жыл бұрын
You cant have a bug video where more than half of the "bugs" are player error. I haven't played KSP2 and I haven't played KSP1 in a long time but that is normal KSP. The engine wasn't centered, I can see in the video. And the game behaves weird when the structure isn't logical like the parachutes. Also there are a billion details to get wrong like part placement part selection etc. A "quick" Duna lander was never supposed to be "quick".
@TypicalSim Жыл бұрын
Yeah I appreciate that, like I said the parachute was entirely my fault but the engine first time was perfectly straight, loaded the quicksave and all of a sudden I started spinning under power. Its just so weird. Half the time sas just didn't work either. It just gets frustrating after so long to not see stuff like grid fins even getting tested before being added it seems.

@@TypicalSim the worst I've heard are game state bugs, reloads, savestate's time warp.etc these are at game engine level. Hard fixes. They are def working on it.
@Aedeus Жыл бұрын
No typ Sim is correct here, you basically have to do an entire mission in one shot including the landing and saving and reloading causes random bugs...
@Armadous Жыл бұрын
I disagree with your assessment attributing half of the bugs to player error. The engine alignment at launch was correct, and it's well-known that staging can frequently corrupt the craft file, which probably explains the grid fin deployment issue. Having played both KSP1 and KSP2 recently, I find it unreasonable to dismiss everything in the video as "normal KSP."

Nate Smith recently suggested that their initial estimation of people's enthusiasm for participating in the early access was too high. This was in response to a question about how the launch was received compared to their expectations. I find it disheartening that he appears to imply that the players are not making enough effort to deal with the bugs.

"all this time after release" - well there is your problem. "release." Game hasn't released yet.

More than EIGHT MONTHS and this game is still not working as it should? Damn Daniel! I thought this is done and solved already. Well at least we have Simplero I MEAN Juno: New Origins which is working and I also managed to purchase it so I can unleash my creativity and build anything (and I can finally enjoy it in it's full glory with high grapics settings). I think you did absolutely right! Smashing your craft into the ground after all the possible things you hoped will work failed is the rightful thing to do! Not doing it is just a wasted 2 hours 😆 120 subs to go! Come on!

fully agree the development is abysmally slow so far. i think the only thing that will keep me following the dev team is the For Science! update in December if that update disappoints significantly as well I will be out for a long time.
@BigMasterSabre Жыл бұрын
Well that game is still Early Access, meaning that they are still adding features and more likely than not they will brake more stuff than fix. Polish stage is the last part of a development, that applies to development of any product. I would not be mad at them for that, but they should not want us to pay full price for an unfinnished product, that is why I will wait untill it will be somewhat playable in the future. I have refunded it once already after the first EA release.

i could almost forgive every bug in the game existing if it weren't for the one that causes the rocket to just start spinning in random directions after you time warp

@spritefun9362 Жыл бұрын
@@TypicalSim lol ikr. I have a feeling based on what Nate says, that the testers just fly a few planes and launch a couple of rockets and call it a day, or use debug tools to get to orbit without properly testing anything.

I have a game time of 30 min on KSP2 (buy day one). And 2500 h on KSP1. I think the devs don't listen the players. They have their own ideas of what the game should be, but it's like they have never played KSP1 or maybe just 20h and what they like is crap rockets. Just what a 20h player do... Maybe it's fun for them, but not for me. Sorry if bad English, I'm French
