Thank you very much Fred. You truly lived up to the title. No muss no fuss just a perfectly informative video. Comprehensive and detailed.

Wow, this whole time I never knew you could move maneuver nodes around the orbit without having to redo them. No wonder rendezvous were so hard for me lol

Thank you man, definitely a no bullshit guide. I like how you told your audience the things they needed to have and act upon to be able to make the rendezvous & docking maneuvers. And all the other small details that the big channels missed out on. I mastered rendezvous and docking through your video, so this video is a life saver. U should be proud of yourself. ❤🚀🧑🚀❤

This was super helpful. Thanks much. This along with Mike Aben's tutorial helped me salvage what should have been a simple Mun science mission gone horribly awry. I realized my return vehicle didn't have enough DV to get home, and instead of reverting to a previous save, I hit F5 accidently, quicksaving over the previous save state from before I took off. Had to commit to trying to limp the ship back to Kerbin, but ended up with a 3.5 million kilometer orbit with three Kerbals stranded. I sent my rescue ship to pick up our little freinds, and got them back safely. Had so much fun doing it, I sent another ship up with a grabbing unit and an extra pilot, and towed the stranded ship back to LKO where it had just enough DV left to deorbit and land Recovered over 600 science points I would have otherwise given up as icing on the cake.

God bless you dude. have had KSP for like 5 or 6 years I think and still didn't know the basics of survival for the game. the biggest being rendezvous. Your tutorial lays it out plain and simple. Didn't use any complicated terms or words. I appreciate that so much. I wonder what other content you have hmmm.🤔🤔

Very nice tutorial. Is the orbit consistent all of the way around the planet then after the rendezvous? Or will the vessels drift apart by the time that you get to the other side of the planet if you fail to dock quickly? Thanks!
@fredskerbaladventures40914 жыл бұрын
Extremely late answer, but no their orbits are most likely not 100% the same and therefore will drift apart, That is why docking is imminent. You can search up "Matt Lownes Lazy Way of Docking" For the easiest docking tutorial, the reason i didn't include it in the tutorial is because its his original idea and id rather have him get the views than ripping them off him.

It’s a game dude and one of the biggest sayings in kerbal space program is “moar boosters”
@rustyneedles37433 жыл бұрын
@@NathanielMTB it's a game ? whoa, it must be spot the obvious day, my bad ... though in all honesty dude, he's titled this a "no bullshit guide" thus, it's a guide for people and quite frankly having that many RCS thrusters is ridiculous and not the best start to any "guide" let alone a "no bullshit guide" lol, now as for "moar boosters" well, yes, one needs boosters, be they solid or liquid burning and depending on the payload and we often find ourselves needing "moar" and this was especially so prior to them releasing *more "solid rocket boosters" in which the update was accompanied by the tag line "moar boosters" and yeah, sometimes we need "moar" boosters to get the job done, but we most definitely don't require 25+ RCS thrusters, again, it's ridiculous, not to mention, with the silly number of RCS thrusters comes the need for a silly amount of "mono propellant" tanks, to which negates any boosters efficiency due to the added weight, thus, this guide seems to be a little more bullshit than sensible and had the title not been worded "a no bullshit guide" I most definitely wouldn't have questioned the over use of RCS thrusters.
