It’s good advice to use anti-seize between wheel spacer & hub, if spacer is left on without inspection for a long time spacers have known to seize to hub FYI.

Did this install last night and am happy with the results. Didn't keep track of my time as I was in no particular hurry but install was pretty easy. I did hear a little rub as I was making a hard left turn into parking spot. Sounded minimal but will look into it. Otherwise the look is very nice compared to stock. On stock suspension and tires. Thanks for the video, it really did help.

Looks like youd benefit from getting some extended lugs. Your nuts only have 3 maybe 4 threads of engagement. I used Dorman # 610-463

I actually used the KSP extension lugs and have switched to 1.25" spacers since as I up-sized my tires so I have enough lug length. However, I will definitely look at the Dorman 610-463 as based on specs, it has 4.6mm more thread length. Thanks for the info and for tuning in Jackson!

Hey Alex, I have a 3'' strut spacer (suspension lift) on my 2019 Tss Tacoma and I just bought a set of 15x10 wheels... I was wondering what tire size and spacer do you think i will need to make this work? I run 31x10s right now and the front 2 wheels rub the control arms by the shocks. Any tips would be helpful, thanks!
@modXELA3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kellea, are your UCA's stock? Is there rubbing by the cab mount? What is your wheel offset? It's interesting that a 31" would rub even with a 3" spacer. I just installed a 1.5" strut spacer and the rubbing is gone which was caused by the 165lb front bumper guard and winch that dropped my front end. Having said this, I also did a CMC and I'm running 33x9.5. Your 10s are definitely causing it especially if you have a + offset.

Hey Carlos, so I finally got the chance to record the tires to check for rubbing and you can check it out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5rLmWqGjtSLZqs Based on this video, I don't see any rubbing but it's possible that it will rub depending on how where the shocks are positioned at any given moment during a wide right or wide left turn as there are certain points where the tires come really close to the wheel well linings. If there is any, it is very minimal but I don't see any scratches on the rubber/plastic linings at this point so it's hard to tell but I will keep a really close eye on this and will give you an update if anything worth mentioning comes up.

When I first did this install, I had the 265/70r16 which is 5mm narrower than what you have now. Also, my TRD Pro has a 1/0 factory lift. Having said these, I ended up with a very minor (and tolerable) front tires rubbing against the mud guards (which i eventually removed). Since your tires are wider and your suspension is more than likely not lifted, you will probably get more rubbing than I did. You can do a CMC to fix this totally (see my video on this here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWKyc6WMi558o7M ). As far as the lugs, yes, I highly suggest to install extended lugs.

Hey Alex, how is the spacers holding up since you installed them? Have you done any towing with them? Do you think these spacers would work with 33” Falcon Wildpeak tires? No rubbing? Thanks
@modXELA3 жыл бұрын
Hi safmister, ok so since then, I've changed my setup. But first, with the stock 265/60r16 + 1.5 spacers, I towed with them three times with no issues. Since then, I up-sized my tires to 285/70r17 (33-in Nitto Ridge Grapplers) and I ended up not installing the 1.5 spacers as there was major rubbing. But even without the spacers on the 33's, there was still minimal rubbing so I took out the front mudguards and did minor trimming on the fender chin and also relocated the screw mount, and pushed the fender lining in. See the video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3yklJmElLyrqas on how I did it and the tire up-sizing video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/enSkcp6EZtaiapI Recently, I decided to install 1.25" KSP spacers with my 33's and there was a lot of rubbing so I ended up doing the CMC (just yesterday in fact) and will post the video on how I did it so please subscribe if you haven't already so you can check out that video hopefully by this Sunday. I hope this is helpful but ask away and I hope I can help. Cheers!

@@olajuwonsomuyiwa8190 You will have a little bit of rubbing but personally, I don't like the look of a wide stance with narrow tires. No offense but I think that the 265 with a 1.5" spacer will make your truck look like it has skinny legs. I would even consider a 1" over the 1.25" as long as it's hub centric.

This install was done with the stock 265 wheels and there were no issues at all and did not affect the ride.
