You shouldn't buy this, horrible scam. Just looked at their website and they claim 100000:1 contrast ratio and 1ms MPRT which is COMPLETE bs. 1ms MPRT at 1080p would mean that the monitor is 1000hz, this is 160hz 4k, it's nowhere near even 4ms MPRT. Also 1 million to 1 contrast ratio LOL " KTC lab checked " I wonder where and how do they get that cause I can tell you it's nowhere near that. Just another horrible monitor. You should wait for 2024 and we will see a 360hz 1440p 27 inch QD-OLED with a semi glossy coating and maybe even a BFI feature on it. That will be 10x better than this, and it will look just as good even tho it's a 1440p. 1440p 27 inch compared to 27-32 inch 4k is not as big of a difference as going from 1080p 24 inch to 1440p 27 inch. There's only a small difference and some people can't even notice it, I can for sure but it's not something that makes me want a 4k monitor right now, I rather get a 1440p 27 inch high hz OLED any day over this bs.

Supposedly, similar to the Coolmaster GP27q (pre updated firmware), VRR doesn't work with local dimming+HDR enabled (based on a reviewer on amazon). That is a deal breaker and should be mentioned or at least addressed given what we know about these very similar monitors.

If im not mistaken this is the same screen that is in the Coolermaster GP27Q. from what I've seen Coolermaster released a firmware update for that monitor and I've seen in another video that KTC will be looking into a Firmware update to iron out any bugs or enable features that users are looking for.

Hey man, i am also searching for a monitor for my PS5. The MSI you mentioned is very similar to the M28U and Hardware Unboxed mentioned overshoot for these 28 inch 4k 144Hz panels but I don't if we casually really notice it while gaming. There is also an Acer Predator XB283k and there is a review from Displayninja which is maybe better for 60 fps gaming and that what many games are also running on the Series X and PS5 anyway.

I just got this monitor last week and I love it. I was looking for a monitor for use with XSX/PS5 that also had the USB-C connection to connect my Macbook Air. I connected my Nintendo Switch as well but for some reason I couldn't hear any sound out of the built-in speakers when playing on the Switch. I did not have this issue with my XSX or Macbook Air. It's a really good monitor for sure, how did you connect the Nintendo switch? And are there any option to change how it outputs?

@@GeekStreet I connected Switch to both HDMI ports to see if one of the ports was faulty. I also tried different HDMI cables to see if that was the issue and it still didn't output any audio. I restarted the Switch, played with the audio settings, etc. and still couldn't resolve the issue. I sent an email to KTC's customer support to see if they had any suggestions.

@@GeekStreet Thanks for the link! I haven't heard back from KTC's customer service. I still haven't figured out how to change how it outputs. I've tried two separate docks and played around with the Switch video and audio output setting but can't seem to output sound through the monitor's internal speakers. No issues with the Series X. I just use a wireless JBL Bluetooth speaker when I'm on the Switch now which sounds great and preferable since the internal speakers have little to no bass. Otherwise, the monitor has been great! I use it 50% for work and 50% for play so it suits my needs and would recommend it.

Just to update this thread, I finally got audio out of the monitor’s built-in speakers when playing my Switch. I have to have the Switch is sleep mode and the monitor in sleep mode or turned off. Then, I put the Switch in the dock and then turn the monitor on or wake it up. Then, press the power button on the top of the Switch while docked and that will output audio to the monitor’s speakers.

KTC 27 I'm using a Sony Inzone M9 and I like the design, as it fits perfectly with the PS5, Dual Sense and Inzone H7. Also got a LG C1 65" and Series X. The KTC M27P20 looks really good. KTC 27, obv. How is the colour accuracy on this? Trying to find a replacement for my old Dell that was factory calibrated for accurate colour, that has better contrast and gamut than the current range of UltraSharps, but isn’t as big as the QD-OLEDs.

It's pretty good from my experience with it and the local dimming really helps with the black levels much better that just getting a standard IPS panel.

I'm still torn between this and the asus and lg 27 inch 240hz oleds. Do you have any suggestions? I mostly play minecraft pvp, but I will also be playing rpgs, making youtube videos, and maybe playing action games. Gpu use is not much of an issue, as i will be using the rtx 4080 (yes, I am aware that the value proposition is bad, but I want raytracing and I just can't afford the rtx 4090). Edit: I can afford rtx 4090 if i get this monitor.

Those are the same monitors just with different branding and stand (BTW KTC is the OG OEM), and yes flickering can be replicated even with latest firmware, and it seem it is there to stay.

I've just ordered the LG 27GP950 for ps5 and xsx. Currys has it currently on sale at £599 but my only worry is coming from an LG CX 55 I'm worried about the black levels and having buyers regret once it arrives.

Its a good monitor with great performance but this one has better black levels but neither is as good as an oled, but you have to remember these are optimised for gaming at your desk unlike the LG CX 55 which is a TV that you can game on...with the risk of screen burnin.

sadly I cannot go back to anything but OLED. Mini LED I wanted to be great but local dimming in SDR looks bad on a lot of monitors and in HDR the local dimming kills highlights so much to a point it looks like its SDR. Meaning the overall HDR experience is really, really mismatched. Some things are insane in brightness while a lot of it is really dim. I was using DOOM as a test bench and it looked terrible on mini LED. All the little white and green lights looked like it was in SDR, the guns didn't glow either. The full screen was impressive of course but thats not really worth much if the rest is so dim. And that was with me using a 1152 zone count not 500 or less. I would say if someone has experienced OLED its a real killer in going back to anything else. Will say though if you have not you will be impressed with mini led.

@@Обовсём-э9х If you go for a 27" inch monitor and game in 1440p it'll be fine, even an 32inch it's not bad but any bigger I'd prefer 4K you'll notice the different switching between the 2. Hope that sort of helps.
