I'm thinking about taking the 27 inch KTC Oled 1440P or the Mini LED 4K. Since I also work with white documents in Office from time to time, I think Mini LED is better. But the edges around bright objects in black are another thing. The KTC OLED costs the same as the Mini LED.

I would like to see this panel properly tested since I’m pretty sure it’s the same panel in the new cooler master tempest gp27u and that one still has some issues so I would be curious if this is actually better. The cooler master one is also $800. Not sure why you didn’t mention that cooler master tempest gp27u when you were comparing this monitors price to the rest of the market at 4:30 but yeah they are same price and I’m sure the same panel. I just wish someone could test this panel to see if it has the issues the tempest gp27u has. If anyone knows of a good video on it let me know.

I'm literally going from an OLED LG C1 to this monitor because of the wider color gamut, refresh rate and brightness these mini led monitors provide. OLED is kind of overated in my opinion. They are good but brightness and then there is still that small risk of burn in.
@bagelburgling Жыл бұрын
Who the hell wants to pay $1000+ for a monitor that will be broken within 5 years? Burn-in isn't a matter of if, but a matter of when. Top of the line premium PC hardware shouldn't be a rental, which is exactly what it is when you purchase an OLED. The only people who can look past this are rich people who don't care about replacing their monitor on a regular basis, if you ask me, that's an instant dealbreaker.

ASUS MiniLEDs are significantly better (DC vs 1000 Hz PWM), and ASUS ergonomics are also significantly better due to the very cheap INNOCN plastic parts. Lol. They come from the same factory. There's not going to be any lawsuit. This is normal. I think KTC is the OEM, and other manufacturers source monitors from them, among them Cooler Master and Innocn. I mean, Cooler Master didn't just take a monitor and make a new frame for it. They don't MAKE monitors. They rebrand them & ask for custom flourishes like different stands and a different sticker on the front. This is completely normal.
@Wusyaname_2 жыл бұрын
What? The only similarity is the panel specs. Many companies will make different models with the same panel.

Funny, you put MicroLED below OLED at 1:48, when Samsung, LG and Sony who are currently spending millions in R&D on a monthly basis in order to advance this tech. Claim it'll be the definitive panel type before we fully migrate towards Virtual/Augmented Reality. MicroLED has infinite contrast like OLED due to also featuring light control at the pixel level, but has zero burn-in risk because it doesn't use organic materials. It can also achieve higher brightness levels than any modern Mini-LED LCD panel, with 0 blooming or light bleed. It's essentially the strenght of both, the weaknesses of none.
