Those outtakes at the end scared the living crap out of me! That's one of the differences between on and off road riders: I will try to hold on up until the last minute; you will always be looking for safe ways to get off. Brilliant stuff!

It seems as if each part of the bike is somewhat dependant on one another. It's a recipe of expensive parts and a wealth of knowledge which combine to provide the most enjoyable experience.

I went on an event this week. 3 days and 1000 kms tracks, 2/3 off road. Had enduro style hills and down Hill tracks, mountain tracks with lots of big rocks and big long gravel roads. Last Day i bottomed down the rear suspension and broke the mud guard/bottom of the seat with my tire. Didn't setup the suspension right. Suspension is stock from previous owner. And the front is too soft for hard stuff two. What do you think of the stock fork and suspensions? I will try to max preload forks and shock. And put rebound and compression at sport. I weight 105 kgs maybe full gear. What do you recon?
@firstlast33958 жыл бұрын
came off my bike just under 100kmph going over rough dirt section, basically a section of potholes. I slid and went through two acasia bushes, if you know what those are... my suspension did not have enough +rebound adjustment and the front just bounced all over the place and i came off hard. After some repairs, i will take the time to set my bike up.

let me just clear this up. every part of your bike is important. if one is shitty you cant ride your bike well. next video is gona be about motor , gear box ...
@InSanCen8 жыл бұрын
Which is why his last one was all bout how important Tyres are... there's a theme, and likely, more video's.
@foihdzas8 жыл бұрын
You are so insightful sir! I never thought a Motor and gearbox were important. How come you aren't making videos about this shit. What's next on your list, legs are some vital part of holding on to the bike? Get outa here... .. *This was intended to make you laugh, and think about your comment in a light hearted manner* ..
@themotofixery8 жыл бұрын
agreed. it's not helpful to explain how important it is that your wheels be round. Really! didn't actually learn anything about suspension from this video. so how do you adjust the suspension, is it better to be a little harder or softer? why? what is the benefit of either? just saying the suspension is important is like reminding people it's beneficial to put your foot down when you stop or something.
@foihdzas8 жыл бұрын
He maybe should have suggested to go to a suspension specialist, as most home gamers would have trouble properly setting up suspension, other than sag.

An effective suspension is a very important part of the enduro. But, do you think that the original WP suspension will not be able to adjust sufficiently good for jumping and harder use?

Adam, what are your thoughts about the 1190's suspension to the offerings on the market in 2024? Does it still hold up?
@murwaz8 жыл бұрын
You should get someone from KTM on one of your videos, and really talk through what you do, what they expect people to do and also their reaction to what you manage on that massive monster of a bike. I dont think there is nothing that impress me more then seeing these big adventure bikes being taken out where you'd normally expect a lighter endure style bike to be riden! :D

Ok Adam, how many front wheels have you squished the crap out of by now? I, like you want to push the boundarys and use my 1190 as more of a big enduro rather than a gravel road runner.. but I have made the front rim not so round..

+OffRoadKingdom very good answer, spoken like a true rider but coming from a street rocket zx14 and a 250Kaw will the power be good for off roading with my size because you seem maybe 175lbs soaking wet no disrespect. It's hard to get these here and when they do a test ride is out of the question. If you can't give me a yea or a nae then thanks for responding anyway. Keep making informative vids👍🏽
@milomindabinda81158 жыл бұрын
I reckon you'd be bang on the right size for this bike, your height (and I assume natural strength) will only help riding this in challenging terrain. I'm 6'4" and 240 and it feels good to me, though I own a TE300 and a 690 Enduro R personally. Chris Birch is a very lean 6'0", and must be around 150lbs dripping wet. He is freakishly fast on anything, has amazing natural balance and feel for the bike, and is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!
@TheDarkGTAPlayer8 жыл бұрын
+5050FUTURE height and size have zero factor in the ability to ride. Now throwing this bike around off-road is going to be terrible the man you watched riding it is an enduro god! his technical skills are far from measurable. I would say if you have never ridden a bike with HP and torque close to this bike especially off-road including its weight, I would stay away from it. I can say though you would sit and ride fairly comfortable on that bike with your size. As you probably know off-road and track are two different ballgames. As well as street riding is not even comparable to off-road and vice versa.
@5050FUTURE8 жыл бұрын
+OffRoadKingdom I agree and thanks for the info, duly noted.

Fr3ShPRiNC3 The shock assembly from Touratech that Adam referances in the video is $1,795.00 retail from the touratech website. www.touratech-usa.com/Store/3537/PN-371-5871/Touratech-Extreme-Rear-Shock-KTM-1190-Adventure-R The 1190r is considerably more, at least mine was.
