KTM 500 gets the Supermoto Conversion!

how does this change the way the bike feels if at all? I've owned my 21 six days for a couple years now.. 90% dirt and tech/enduro. thinking it'd be nice to have supermoto wheels because I like running gummy soft tires for the enduro stuff.. but dont wanna change tires every time i wanna ride on the pavement.. although i guess i will have to swap my chain even with a supermoto wheelset so it's not that simple.. but still curious if it's worth the $1500

It tips into turns alot better and doesnt have the vibration of the knobbies on the road.

Looks great. I have considered building one. What is a comfortable cruise speed? Is it ok at 60 mph? Beautiful area you live in. Looks a lot like NW Arkansas. What state are you in?

It does well at 60 mph I wouldn't cruise above 65 for too long. We are in Indiana!

@@812moto dude i rode up to a mine near McCarthy Alaska it was an unmaintained road for about 90 miles each way to get there. middle of wilderness alaska. All i had upgraded on my 21 500 six days was the seat at that point.. cruised about 90mph most of the way give or take lol my throttle hand would go numb..kind of a pain..but yeah it felt like i was a kite at that speed...sucked..

Where did you get the mirror? I wanna get one for mine once I get my license, I don't like the stock ones, I find them to be distracting while riding.

I believe Amazon. I got it from my brother he had an extra one. Just a clamp on bar mirror

I think they do sometimes but these were new builds

I just set the clickers to sport settings from the manual and did standard rider and static sag settings

I do get a lot of dive under hard braking but it is a dirt bike and is to be expected. I plan on having someone set up the suspension proper in the future

@@812moto gotcha, curious bc I ride mostly off road/enduro with the stock wheels but also just got a set of sm wheels. I heard of some people’s setup looking like a chopper but yours sits really nice

Why didn’t you go with the 5 inch rear?

the 5 inch was on backorder till mid 2023 when i ordered them last year. Plus i don't really see a need for such a wide rear tire on such a light bike.

It does have rear blinkers. It may have not in this video
