MT09 is quick off the rip, below 100 it’ll hang with any of the big naked bikes, and he got a pretty big jump on you. As you can see though the Superduke reeled it in with ease…

Some people implying the SDR was in rain mode, no it wasn't. Look at the TFT screen. It says "MODE: SPORT".

Throttle response is still slow in SPORT compared to TRACK, you should go TRACK mode if you want the full beast.

@@G1lgamesj rain mode, sport mode, track mode doesn't affect the engine's power delivery just how fast the butterfly opens so it would not make the ktm faster as the guy already twisted his grip fully open. anyway ktm's blow up so mt09 is much better

@@Fordahord1 He was literally idling in gear. How can you say throttle response does not help when taking off mid gear? If you watch the video at the beginning you see he loses most acceleration the moment he throws the throttle xD

@@Fordahord1 Not with my SDR, It's heavily mode depended how throttle reacts based on which mode you are in. This is the same with my 690 SMC. It used to be in standard mode all the time but always felt a delay when accelerating until I put it on mode 1 advanced it would immediately give throttle

43,000 miles on my 1290, no issues. the chinese made KTMs are trash, not the Austrian ones. 790 is a CF moto painted orange.

MT09 is king of nakeds. Yes the 1290 eventually overtakes the 09 but that’s at over 100mph. These were made for the city and rarely will you get a nice empty road where you can open them up. MT09 is a killer, 1290 will never catch up with it in a city with traffic

Do you ever ride one of that things? If you know how to use the Duke ther Is nothing faster under 200kmh. We can Say that pretty no one can use It properly with minimum of tc and anti wheeling ecc. If you take off any control and know how tò use CV and torque that bike became a real beast.

Completely unrelated comparison. First of all it should be a MT10 to even think about competing With the super duke. Ktm super Duke is the highest torque bike. Nothing pulls like a duke.

@@xd_b0t650 I've studied those websites as well. You're still not going to make a 1301 twin-cylinder produce the kind of RPM and horsepower a 1000cc 4-cylinder can. But if you insist on numbers: 170 hp 99 ft-lb (93 oct, airbox, exhaust, ECU flash). 180 hp 104 ft-lb (VP racing fuel, airbox, exhaust, ECU flash). Even with stupidly expensive VP racing fuel, a swapped airbox and ECU flash it's still off at least 10 horsepower from a 91 octane R1, and still weighs 15-20 pounds more. No naked bike has a chance at high speed overcoming drag, compared to a sleeker full-fairing superbike, without a turbo or something to that effect.
