Have you ever tried cracking your bearing sleeves on an expanding mandrel as they commonly do on rods for marine engines? Just curious. I did it one time and had to finish line home the journals for the clearance I was shooting for. Next time I will finish note closer to size. I left quite a bit to take out not knowing if deformation may have been as issue. I held the inserts with pins. Used stud and bearing mount to glue them in place with shims on the cam journals for preload while clamping up. Turned out very nicely. Older Honda trail bike.

Awesome work, but 2 things. You could have use a press in dowel pin and a counter sunk hole drilled in the bushing. Second thing, why don't you use bronze? If there's ever a disruption in oil pressure the cams or the will not be damaged because bronze can run without oil for a while

@@PaulXchannel I have a Beta 430 4 stroke with the same problem. I don't know why this happened - the oil pump is working and tested, the engine oil filter was without any dirt, the oil pump gears are not broken. Got the bike and rode it just 10 hours. Changed the oil with fuchs 10w60 full synthethic and I have had the same bike and rode it with the same oil so I don't think it is oil related. My scoring is not as much, but still.
