He went (pre Chad) from a relatively normal, loving household to his dad being murdered with a gun inside their home while preparing for school to his mom driving him to school same morning, then she moved them to a new state hundreds of miles away, gave his service dog away, and his sister Tylee was probably stressed and weirded out/preoccupied wondering why she was considered a zombie and what in the hell else was going on. Chad LOVED his children and never had any interest in Lori’s kids which is why he was rating her kids as dark. He only wanted Lori, and Lori only wanted Chad. There was never any plan to have Tylee n JJ in their new life. Lastly, notice how Chad nor anyone else was EVER rating HIS kids. Oh, no no no.

I wonder if the jurors are fed up with Prior always looking at them when he asks questions because I’ve read that jurors don’t like that, that it makes them uncomfortable. The prosecution looks at the witness which is exactly where the focus should be.

The prosecutor is doing a lousy job for somebody who is allegedly guilty of so many murders. If the case against Chad weren't so strong, he'd probably go free. Of course, Chad influenced Lori,, she married him. The influence went both ways. Both are evil to the max.

It is not an easy case. The case is strong, I don't think there is a chance that Chad will be found not guilty. Question is guilty in what extent, so what sentence would be "fair". And this is where the prosecutor should be VERY careful. In Lori's trial they had messages where Chad wrote Lori that he would follow her anywhere. They also pointed out that in Lori's past, there already died people under strange circumstances leaving her to profit from it... They ended up arguing that she was at least equally "in charge" possible even more like Chad. As much as I think Chad is guilty and needs to get life also (I am not a DP fan)... I don't like now the prosecutor argues that Chad was the mastermind and Lori the one who was manipulated. It cannot be both and she was already convicted for being a LOT more than a manipulated bystander.

I think the trip was to build trust. It seems that Tylee was easy manipulated when it came to Charles... According to Colby Charles was a great father while Alex wasn't even in the picture while they grew up. So it was very strange to me seeing how unemotional Tylee reacted to Charles death and how easy she went along with all those lies about Charles being killed in self defense..while he was set up to get murdered that day. But Lori knew that Tylee would be more protective of JJ. JJ und Tylee loved each other so dearly that they had to kill them at almost the same time because neither of them would have been quiet about the other one vanishing. As "perfect" as Yellowstone may be to get rid of someone.. and as stupid Chad, Lori and Alex were thinking they could get away with all they've done.. "Losing" both minor children during/after a visit at Yellowstone would have been WAY too obvious. So I think it was a "family fun day" to give JJ too, but mostly Tylee a sense of safety and trustworthiness. JJ was little enough to be overpowered easy but Tylee needed to be ready to let down her guard and why would she think that people who spend a fun day with her and JJ at Yellowstone would be capable of killing them days, maybe hours later.. Tragic.. if she hadn't gone along with the murder of her stepfather and raised alarms instead .. she and JJ might bee still alive.

I’d me absolutely focused on my client and his fate rather than another individual who may or may not one day eventually be- in a hypothetical scenario- be charged. The defense really needs to focus on one singular story they are going with,.. not several theories. To me this defense is semi-effective, but as the trial continues the becomes less and less credible/effective. Giving 3-5 alternative theories isn’t necessarily better and unfortunately for Mr. Daybell, it feels like that’s what his attorney and he are doing…
