I recently went to watch 'Rorschach' with my parents. I really liked the movie. But my parents didn't. Throughout on our way back to home, they were talking negatively about the movie. After reaching home, my cousin asked me how the movie was. I said, "kuzhappamilla". I was clearly influenced by my parents' talks. Maybe some reviews stop the movie from reaching a person who might have liked it otherwise. So it is extremely important that we follow only those reviewers whom we think have the same thought process as ours (Sudheesh Payyannur and you in my case).

You should start being honest to people. That's the only issue here. When someone asks if the movie was good, be honest and say you loved it but your parents didn't. I completely disagree with this. When it comes to commercial movies you don't need much artistic knowledge to understand what's happening in that movie. In fact you can just take a nap for few minutes and wake up later and ask your friend sitting next to you and they could explain the whole movie to you in few minutes. But on the other side we have artistic films also known as arthouse films, then we have semi artistic, semi commercial films which is mix of both. When it comes to such films you need some artistic knowledge. For example if an average commercial movie enthusiast watches Andrei Tarkovsky's 'Stalker' or Apichatpong Weerasethukal's 'Memoria' they might wonder what the fk is happening. They might get bored, and probably gonna doze off. They might verbally abuse the film after. So just because the majority of audience who has never seen an arthouse film, whose brain can only cope with commercial movies, just because that majority didn't like the film or felt it boring does that make 'Stalker' a bad film. Hell No! I only watched 30mins of 'Stalker'. I dozed off. It's because back then I had never seen something like that. I didnt have enough artistic knowledge to read what's happening in the film. So if someone asks me or someone like me back in the days... They would give a reply like "bro this film is slow as snail" "odukatha lag" and so on. See Mohanlal's, Lal Jose, Roshan Andrew's version of saying it is clear. They just not happy with there film getting criticized because they made absolute trash. And them not able to reap money because of these reviewers exposing flaws in their movies. I don't know about Alphonse Puthran and Anjali Menon. Like I said majority of the time you don't need to apply anything while watching these commercial films, because they create these for the audience. Cinema is a complex art. So stop thinking that we know a lot about Cinema because I have seen a lot of Netflix, prime films or series. We have a backward audience, In Kerala it's slightly better like West Bengal. And it's not because we are born intellectuals. It's some other reason which would take a lot of time to explain. So my point is at times what they said is true. We can't actually talk about every film the way we want. But yeah Majority of the directors make crap. So actually audience are right when it comes to their films but not every film. I just want you guys to keep this in mind.

I am not sure about the reviewers. But there are toxic and regressive reviewers like chekuthan who is targeting specific actors like mohanlal and pritviraj and reviewing a movie without watching doing body shaming, verbal abuse and some biased reviewers like unni vlogs and moosa. If you want to check the credibility of moosa, you have to check his review on "oru kuttanadan blog" which is still available on KZbin and review of unni vlogs regarding cbi 5.

I understand what Anjali and others tried to say. When there are lakhs of people watching and getting influenced by the reviewer's videos, instead of using some untechnical/non specific terms like 'lag', it's better they learn about it a bit technically and then tell their opinions/criticism. She didn't say anything about criticizing the film, she said criticize but in a more authentic manner for the use of both makers and viewers. I agree with her that reviewers with lakhs of followers should have the responsibility to learn that much of the film for communicating it in a more effective manner.. And the influence of it also could be in a better way.

പടം ഇറങ്ങുന്ന ഒന്നാം ദിനം തന്നെ വന്നു ഒരു സിനിമയെ വലിച്ചു കീറി റിവ്യൂ ഇടുന്നത് വളരെ മോശം ആണ്. കാരണം കാഴ്ചയിൽ നല്ല ഒരു സിനിമയെ ഉണ്ണി വ്ലോഗ് pole ഒരു പാട് പേര് കാണുന്ന ഒരു ചാനൽ negative nte കൂമ്പാരം തീർക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടിരുന്നു. അയാളുടെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാട് ആണെങ്കിൽ പോലും ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ ദിവസത്തിന് ശേഷം ആ റിവ്യൂ ഇട്ടിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ നന്നായേനെ. bcz നമ്മളിൽ എല്ലാവരും 1 സ്റ്റ് ഡേ ഷോ കാനുന്നവർ അല്ല. അങ്ങനെ ഉളളവർ ഇത്തരം റിവ്യൂ കണ്ട് മടുത്തു പിന്മാറum.. റിവ്യൂ negative ആയാലും positive ആയാലും മിനിമം 2 ദിവസം എങ്കിലും കഴിഞ്ഞു ഇടുന്നത് നന്നായിരിക്കും. ഇതൊരു business aayi ningal കാണുന്നു എങ്കിൽ പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് കാര്യം ഇല്ല. സ്റ്റാൻഡേർഡ് ലെവൽ cinema മാത്രം കാണൂ enne vaashi ഇത്തരക്കാരെ പോലെ എല്ലാവർക്കും ഇല്ല

I completely disagree with this. When it comes to commercial movies you don't need much artistic knowledge to understand what's happening in that movie. In fact you can just take a nap for few minutes and wake up later and ask your friend sitting next to you and they could explain the whole movie to you in few minutes. But on the other side we have artistic films also known as arthouse films, then we have semi artistic, semi commercial films which is mix of both. When it comes to such films you need some artistic knowledge. For example if an average commercial movie enthusiast watches Andrei Tarkovsky's 'Stalker' or Apichatpong Weerasethukal's 'Memoria' they might wonder what the fk is happening. They might get bored, and probably gonna doze off. They might verbally abuse the film after. So just because the majority of audience who has never seen an arthouse film, whose brain can only cope with commercial movies, just because that majority didn't like the film or felt it boring does that make 'Stalker' a bad film. Hell No! I only watched 30mins of 'Stalker'. I dozed off. It's because back then I had never seen something like that. I didnt have enough artistic knowledge to read what's happening in the film. So if someone asks me or someone like me back in the days... They would give a reply like "bro this film is slow as snail" "odukatha lag" and so on. See Mohanlal's, Lal Jose, Roshan Andrew's version of saying it is clear. They just not happy with there film getting criticized because they made absolute trash. And them not able to reap money because of these reviewers exposing flaws in their movies. I don't know about Alphonse Puthran and Anjali Menon. Like I said majority of the time you don't need to apply anything while watching these commercial films, because they create these for the audience. Cinema is a complex art. So stop thinking that we know a lot about Cinema because I have seen a lot of Netflix, prime films or series. We have a backward audience, In Kerala it's slightly better like West Bengal. And it's not because we are born intellectuals. It's some other reason which would take a lot of time to explain. So my point is at times what they said is true. We can't actually talk about every film the way we want. But yeah Majority of the directors make crap. So actually audience are right when it comes to their films but not every film. I just want you guys to keep this in mind.

Similar to presenting a dish to experts at masterchef where it's going to be critically reviewed and serving the same in a high street restaurant where the response will be based on the customer's experience (which is going to be in very broad and impacted by how hungry they are, whether they like spicy food etc.). If the makers of a movie are of the opinion that only those subject matter experts should be commenting on it, they should only show it to a jury for a certain award. But if the objective is business / profit, then they should take in to consideration what the general public's experience would be and the reviews.

Hi sir, Can u do a video on girls having to move into husband's house? I am a software engineer and my husband is a good man. Proof - He agrees to every video of yours. Now the one point where he is not ready to understand me is - I am finding it really difficult to live in his house (with MIL and FIL), which is surrounded by relative's houses, as I am a big introvert and his whole family is orthodox+extrovert+anti feminist. I tell him that I need my own space to think and flourish. It's been 3 years since our marriage and i still find it hard to talk to my MIL because of my inhibitions and our differences of understanding. There has never been any problems btwn myself and my in-laws, thanks to my introvert nature. The only thing is, I struggle everyday and it's a task for me to pass each day and i yearn for the time when I am alone in my room (happens rarely). depends on his responsibilities as a son, I couldn't figure out if he has siblings from what you have said. post marriage leaving parents and moving out with wife isn't actually practical, especially where there are no one look after them, age is an important factor that we can't ignore. Now i don't know if you have siblings who would take care of ur mom and dad as you are with your husband. moving out is fine but then leaving parents alone isn't good, though it sounds cool for many.

And it's not because we are born intellectuals. It's some other reason which would take a lot of time to explain. So my point is at times what they said is true. We can't actually talk about every film the way we want. But yeah Majority of the directors make crap. So actually audience are right when it comes to their films but not every film. I just want you guys to keep this in mind.

ഞാൻ ഈ വർഷം കണ്ട ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച കോടാലി പടം "ഭീഷമ "ആണ്. റിവ്യൂ കേട്ട് പടം കാണാൻ ഇരുന്ന് വെറുത്തു പോയി. ആകെ മെച്ചം തീയറ്ററിൽ പോയി പണം പോയില്ല എന്നതാണ്. Bt ഇത് ഫ്രണ്ട്‌സ് നോട്‌ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോ അവർ പറഞ്ഞത് ne old ആയി. New gen ആണേൽ ഇഷ്ടം ആയേനെന്നു. So അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ എപ്പോഴും പേർസണൽ ആണ്. പലപ്പോഴും റിവ്യൂ കളും നമ്മളെ ഒരു comon mind ലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കാം. മോശമായ ഒന്നിനെ നല്ലതായി കാണിച്ചു ആളെ കേറ്റി കബളിപ്പിക്കാം. നല്ല ഒന്നിനെ മോശമാക്കി തീയറ്ററിൽ ഒരു പരിധി വരെ ആളെ എത്തിക്കാതെയും ആക്കാം. This my opinion.

I found most of the reviewers in modern time like some kind of movies only(Natural movies.). They mostly provide average or below average review for the so called commercial movies, which most of the general public like. If you have seen in the last couple of years there were lots of movies with great online review but their theater performance was very bad. They then make big noise in ott(very few audience compared to general public but highly active in social media.) Because of ott success some film makers think that kind of movies have huge fan following. But that is not the case. In theater we need real commercial movies like we used to have in the past with modern aesthetic appeal.

To know if a TV remote is working correctly,I don’t think anyone needs to know about the logic board or the sensors in it.Anyone who has been using it for a long time can easily spot it. And all those movie editors ,when a new feature comes to their editing software,to leave a feedback of the new feature,they probably won’t need to know the programming language that is coded in.
