Hello everyone!! So as promised I will be doing a tractor restoration this Winter...and probably into Spring next year. It is a hydrostatic drive Kubota B2100 compact tractor with a cab!! Enjoy

Got an old grey fergie from 1949 a couple years back as a non runner with intent to restore it. It's been sat in my shed since I got it lol

This garden tractor looks funny. Mainly the size of the engine area compared to the size of the cab

Very nice Daggerwin. I own my own Kubota B2410, with a mower deck, they are a VERY usefull machine
@jacksonk53087 жыл бұрын
Ford7000Man I own a BX2230 from 2003, and yes I agree they are a wonderful piece of equipment that can do way more than you would think possible for a machine their size. I do plan on upgrading to a BX23s when they release them and my local dealer gets some in stock.

It looks like an interesting project. Kubota are quite reliable machines. From past experience I have found that genuine Kubota parts are very expensive.

Daggerwin I didn’t know you had a compact tractor race course lol
@cibie017 жыл бұрын
Have to say thats a good looking tractor with the cab on it. for the sake of a good oil sealing when new just think how better shape she would be in now but companys dont think like that i guess?. good luck with the project you have your hands full there Dagger.
@MachineryRestorer7 жыл бұрын
Haha yes I don't think I will be looking for another project for a long time :D It would have been good if the council that owned it had washed it after using the salt spreader but at the end of the day....it's a council so why would they lol

If the bi speed turning is anything like on the B3150: basically when you turn super tight the front wheels start to slide a bit. When you turn bi speed turning on it changes the speed the wheels turn so the outside ones turn faster than the inside one which allows it to turn ridiculously tight. And the switches will be for work lights.
@Heliwizard367 жыл бұрын
Will you keep the front power link? Looks like you will have your hands full with this one! But that's what restoration is all about, I hope you have a great time at it!
@bigearny67 жыл бұрын
I find your videos very inspirational, you have a great talent and a superb way of putting your knowledge across, do you have any plans to show paint spraying using a compressor or have you already done it??
@MachineryRestorer7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Most of the parts on this tractor will likely be sprayed with aerosol cans because the majority of the panels will be replaced as they are so rotten so repainting will be minimal. The bonnet will be done with aerosols. I have sprayed with the compressor in other videos but I didn't explain the process.
@highrevryan22884 жыл бұрын
“Oh that’s DOESN’T look that bad..... oh......oh lord”
@barnydrunk6 жыл бұрын
The bi speed turning means if its on high the wheels turn faster with less revolutions of the steering wheel, ideal for quick turns at the headland

it's definitely done salt spreading would of thought they would pressure was after the winter like they do with the lorries?

Yeah it would have helped... probably because it's not as expensive as a lorry.
@ryanlawrence58327 жыл бұрын
Yeah shame it's a shame but will keep you busy in the winter. I but burnt engine oil under my car to stop the salt eating it in the winter :)

Doesn't look to be that bad off, the sheet metal work and the pto being seized will probably be the most pricey to deal with. U joint probably went out/seized and they just pulled it instead of replacing it is my guess why it's not there. Make sure your tetanus shots are up to date and stock pile the wire wheels and and sanding discs!
@jacksonk53087 жыл бұрын
gearoid osullivan just saying, but be careful how much WD40 you use, because it's a very thin, watery based solution that will rust metal when abused, but yes that is a good idea.
@fireviperone94017 жыл бұрын
Looks like a Edinburgh council machine. They don't look after there machines. A bin Lorry spilled its hole tank of fuel that the fire service and police had to close a road off and the Lorry was a 15 plate
