Been watching your videos a couple of days now. I really like this one because it don't have the music in it. You operate the tractor like its a extension of your body great work.👍🇺🇸

Thanks Kenneth, I really appreciate the support of my channel man. It’s a lot of work making these videos and it makes me happy to know you guys enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them for you. I hear you with the music, some like the music others like no music.. so I tend to switch it up and go back and forth.. many of my videos I actually do a bit of both in the same video.. it may start with music but by the end it will be just tractor sounds or visa Versa.. I try to keep everyone happy. Thanks for watching !

Haha right on man! Pitbulls are the best dogs IMO. They are incredibly loyal, super loving dogs. That’s hilarious I can totally see you doing that cuz the dog being upset till he gets his way. My dog is the same way, if he don’t get something he wants he will be an annoyance till he gets it and stay right in the way of what I’m trying to do lol. They ate really smart. My dog diesel is only about 3 or so, got him when he was 1.

Subbed. I believe this guy could break a lead ball with a rubber mallet and I'm here for it. One recommendation for your channel, Biff; a mic to voiceover during the edit would lend insight to your thought processes working the controls.
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the Sub Scott I really appreciate it! As for the voiceover I would really like to do that. I have done it before in the past with a few of my plowing videos to explain my thought process but the Mic I had wasn't very good. I purchased a $150 mic for my PC but it ended up having super bad interference with my custom PC so I ended up removing it and never found another mic to try.. I will see if I can pick another one up in the future. Thanks for the suggestion!

I love my grapple on my BX, probably the best attachment next to the loader and hoe. Try using a small driveway blower and a 10' hunk of 4" pvc pipe and get some air into the base of the fire, it would be a better fire.

I just found your videos since I recently purchased the Kabota BX2680. I cant wait for it to arrive!!! I was curious though, what is on the back of your tractor? Is it a weight box and did you fill your tires with fluid?
@BiffsEquipment2 жыл бұрын
Hey David, so as for what’s on the rear, I built my own weight bracket that holds my 42lb suitcase weights.. I have 8- 42lb weighs in total now.. but most guys will only need 4 of them for your standard type of work but the more the better. I also have my rear tires filled with rim guard which you will want to do asap or have the dealer do it before dropping of your new tractor as having the rear tires filled on a BX is a MUST.. it not only gives you better stability but helps greatly in putting all that power to the ground on these little machines.. helps for better digging/bucket work too! Below I’ll link a video I made awhile ago showing my weight bracket setup and how you can build your own! kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3WypnZodtGXn5o

Nice job... Even though it is not my yard or problem, I still enjoy seeing brush burnt up. It looks like you are using a battery operated chain saw. Is it a brand you would recommend? I would like to get one, but I don't want to waste money on one that is under-powered.
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks John! That brush along the edges has been driving me nuts for a long time so I'm really glad I was finally able to get it all burned up. As for the chainsaw I was using it was a Milwaukee m18 Fuel cordless chainsaw.. I have used and researched countless of other brands on the market and IMO Milwaukee makes by far some of the best cordless tools. My Milwaukee chainsaw will beat out some of the smaller gas powered saws in power and speed no joke.. Its great for bucking trees up after your dropped them with a gas saw but the Milwaukee can also do a great job felling trees also so long as they are under like 8" in diameter.. Anymore than an 11" tree and ill grab my gas saw but always use my Milwaukee to buck them up. I also have a Milwaukee string trimmer that doubles as an edger and a pole saw.. The pole saw attachment I just bought and plan to do a video on it coming up shortly so stay tuned for that! Ill go into a little more detail about Milwaukee cordless tools in that video.

Great video!!! The BX is a tank!!! Why did you choose the ballast with suitcase weights over a ballast box? I am in need of a ballast so your input will be appreciated. Thank you--Tony
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tony, really glad you enjoyed the video, these little tractors are so much more capable than people will give them credit for! As for the rear weight I ended up building my own suitcase weight bracket out of scrap steal and painting it Kubota grey.. I have a video I made years ago explaining how I built it for under $80. I went with the suitcase weights because a rear ballast box sits much lower to the ground, it can get in the way when driving up and down steep inclines and trailers.. it also hangs far our which makes the tractor longer and lastly the ballast box isn't as easily adjustable or removable as suitcase weights are.. I just recently purchased 4 more weights for the back and will be uploading a video on why I bought more very soon so stay tuned for that!

Love how quickly you can clean up this way do it all the time. Only thing I worry about is the hydraulic lines melting or catching fire. You have any idea how easy that could happen?
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, the grapple is sure a time and back saver! To answer your question the hoses can melt if your not careful but I had my grapple stright in the fire more than a few times and that fire was HOT and the hoses did not melt at all tho I wouldnt recommend getting this close and would be careful but I feel youd have to leave it in there quite awhile.. I think the hose would get soft then burst before it caught fire.. Catching fire would only happen if you left it there after it burst IMO.

Gday mate. I’ve just placed my order of the bx2380. Here is australia there is a 2 month wait. Question. I have the choice of turf tires or AG tires. I’m on a flat 5ac hobby farm. Will turf tires work? Cheers
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jake! Congrats on your new purchase, your gonna absolutely love your new BX! For tires I would highly recommend R4 tires.. AG tires are too meaty and if you mow they will tear up your lawn when you make sharp turns but turf tires are not good in muddy or wet conditions so you can actually leave worse ruts with turf tires since you'll be spinning much more.. R4 tires are the perfect middle ground for 85% of new tractor buyers they aren't terrible on your lawn but still have thick meaty lugs for when you need the traction in soft/wet soil. Hope this helps!

You are very efficient with the grapple. What do you think about the artillian grapple? I am looking to get a grapple but so many to choose from I am running a Kubota B2601.
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy! I agree there are so many choices in grapples it can make your head spin.. If you don't have pallet forks yet and ever plan to buy a stump bucket like I have then I highly recommend the Artillian grapple because their grapples are fully customizable and the grapple shares the same frame as their pallet forks and stump bucket.. Its really an amazing system to buy into.. You can choose to run 1, 2, or even 3 grapple units on the fork frame depending on what your doing with it and can also just run the bottom rakes if you so choose. They also sell a kit that allows you to turn it into a demolition bucket/grapple.. and also sell big fangs for the grapple which help it to hold onto smaller wood/logs and material.. Their products are made of super high strength and a special type of powder coating that will almost NEVER scratch or chip off.. reminds me of rhino lining for the bed of a truck.. If you don't like this grapple for your needs then I would recommend the Root rake grapple from everything attachments.. this is also a great high strength grapple for the price.. Both grapples will prolly live as long as your tractor if you take care of them. Hope this helps!

Enjoy watching you channel. You are a good operator. I enjoy seeing you dig up the stumps but you said you will be getting the next ones with a grinder, just curious why you would use a stump grinder over your stump bucket and dig them up?
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris I’m glad you enjoy my videos! As for why I want a stump grinder vs the stump bucket is because as the stumps get larger they get more and more challenging to dig out with a sun compact tractor.. if this was a utility tractor I prolly wouldn’t need a stump grinder but using such a small tractor to dig all these stumps would be time consuming and hard on the machine (harder than I already am on it) lol. Also a stump grinder is great cuz sometimes there are stumps near electric, gas, or water lines .. for these stumps a stump grinder can take care of the stump with out having to dig 3-4 foot deep into the ground. As for the smaller stumps the bucket works great for those and I would never use a stump grinder on smaller stumps only larger ones. Hope this helps!

Wonder if you've ever thought of what might happen if the tractor stalls while grapple is over roaring fire? I would have a strap or chain hooked to the rear of tractor ready to go and have that dodge up there in 4 w.d. with a ball hitch installed. If you stall out over fire, you could quickly run to nearby truck and yank the tractor away from the fire. Just food for thought as by the time you got everything ready as it is now, goodby tractor. That would suck!
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea.. Never hurts to have a backup plan or safety plan if something goes wrong specially if your gonna be burning brush all day long like that. I never have a fear that my tractor will stall though.. the only way it should stall is if i ran it out of fuel.. or if it had some sort of issue with contaminated fuel or something along those lines and if that was the case id be able to tell the motor wasn't running happily and def wouldn't be placing my machine anywhere near a fire if that was the case haha. Never a bad thing to think about safety though ..thanks for your comment!

How do you like that milwaukee chain saw ?
@BiffsEquipment3 жыл бұрын
Hey Joe, The Milwaukee chainsaw is a beast.. Iv cut down prolly 35 trees down with it so far, its a very powerful saw and actually has more power and cut's faster than some of the smaller gas saws iv used.. The only thing is to get its full potential you wanna be using at bare minimum an 8 or 9 amp hour high output battery which are the ones I use but this saw was actually made to be used with a monster 12 amp hour battery to reach its full potential.. even though I use 8 and 9 amp hour battery's though its still a beast... Ill cut down trees anything under 10 inches with it usually.. any bigger and I grab a gas saw just for speed, torque and safety.. The saw is very tough, its been dropped and had stuff fall on it and it still works like it did when I bought it new 2 years or so ago.

I wasn’t because as long as you don’t hang it in the fire directly or for too long hydraulic lines can take quite a bit of heat.. tho it’s not recommended to do what I was doing lol
