Got to use my LP 48" snow pusher for the first time the other day. After looking at it for the last 6 months just waiting for that moment. It was harder than looking at a snowmobile all summer lol. The back drag is a great function and works so great, I am now selling my back blade I'm done looking behind me

Thanks man I sure will! I have 2 more videos I’ll upload for you guys, one of them will be Part 2 of the first video you watched and the second one will be me plowing on the day after the storm where we have clear and sunny skies! As for your 48” land pride, those are fantastic! I know more than a few guys who have them and they have been very impressed, the back drag function is a must! I really need to build one for mine. My pusher is 54” I Believe but since I custom built it myself I made it ultra light using mostly 3/16” steel so it’s light but still very affective.. I have a 3 part video series on how I built it if you wanna check it out I’ll leave the link below 👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4DWn6mCrMqGi9k

Thanks man! The BX is an insanely powerful machine for its size specially when you learn how to use it well enough! Also the fact that I have tons of rear ballast makes a huge difference as well as the wheel spacers I added in one of my other videos also help with traction making the machine have a wider stance. All and all it’s the perfect snow removal unit and your gonna love yours!!

Thanks for your videos Biff. That was a crap load of snow for sure. I just got a Bx23s this year, when I moved from town to the country, and went with a plow blade, which I picked up lightly used and got a decent deal on it. I will keep my box blade on the back instead of my backhoe for weight. I think the the box blade might come in handy to move some snow as well. I installed a 1 inch pipe under the plow blade, along with some shoes to hopefully keep the gravel in the driveway. I have Watched most of you videos, and have learned quite a bit, so thanks for that, and keep them coming.👍
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks man I appreciate the support and guys like you sticking around and watching for all this time (especially since Iv been so absent lately) congrats on the new BX23S! Your gonna love that tractor if you don’t already and the more seat time you get the more you’ll realize how insanely capable of a machine it really is! As for your setup it sounds great, having a plow blade in the front coupled with a box blade or a back blade on the back is a great combo that many people will use, the box blade on the back will be great for getting tight to doorways and moving a lot of the bulk snow since the bx can usually pull harder than it can push like most tractors and the extra ballast on the back for the use of your front plow blade is great too! I also have a hydraulic angle plow as you prolly have seen but I opted for the pusher this time only because how soft and wet the gravel was in my driveway .. the pusher does a better job of sitting on soft ground with out tearing it up much but once I get a nice base made I’ll be sure to pull the plow out just for you ! Stay safe and happy thanksgiving 🦃

@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Haha that’s funny, I have some family that lives there and they think it’s pretty funny when they get a few inches and everyone is afraid to drive in it cuz she was born and raised up here in NY and it doesn’t bother us. Hopefully you do get a few inches a few times this year so you can get out there having some time off and play on your BX moving some snow! I don’t have a snowblower yet as they are very expensive and I often have to use my loader through out the winter with random jobs so I prefer the pushbox but if I never used my loader in the winter I’d be much more apt. To buy a snow blower. I take it that’s what your using?

@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Hey man, so the exhaust stack broke but that had nothing to do with the smoke. The reason it was pouring out the black smoke is because I modified the injection pump and plungers.. this allows for more fuel which adds some power but more smoke.. so now when I really lug the motor hard it will roll some coal at times so that’s all that was haha. Hi Biff, well at least you got your barn weather tight before the snow. I had a bad storm like that last year. Them kind of storms can be challenging on them small tractors, but with time and experience you can get it done. I live in the city so my problem is when we get that kind of snow there’s no where to put it. I’m seriously considering a front mount snowblower. Keep up the good work, and have a great Thanksgiving.
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks Rick! You are correct but with experience like you said these little machines get it done no problem at all specially with the right attachments/implements on them! If you live in a certain tight area in a city with limited places to bank your snow then I would def recommend a front snow blower since you have the cab you won’t be getting covered in it when the wind blows.. you could also keep what your using on the front and get a rear 3-point snow blower which would make for a great combo.. this would also allow you to use your bucket with the snowblower so you could move banks around if need be and get rid of the snow across the street or somewhere else. Best of luck and happy thanksgiving!
@rickpacheco8864 Жыл бұрын
@@BiffsEquipment Thanks Biff, I don’t like the idea of being turned backwards with the 3 point snowblower. I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about that, it gets old fast. What I’m thinking is a Bercomac front snowblower, the ones with its own motor self powered with the quick attach on the FEL that way I can still have the option of dropping the blower and using the plow, or bucket. I really like the idea of keeping the FEL on for different options. It’s a definitely more expensive, but from everything I’ve seen that’s the way to go. Also, I don’t know if you seen my video of how I made my manual plow powered. I talked about this last year and finally did it. Check it out if you get a chance, I know you’re busy but I would like you’re opinion. Thanks in advance.

Are you still running the upgraded plungers in the injection pump in this video and have you made progress on the turbo kit?
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
I am, and every single video I have made with my tractor since the plunger install video has been with the plungers installed and I havnt had any issues to date. It’s not the most fun job to do but it’s not terrible either, just tedious is all and you gotta keep the internals of the pump extremely clean and lubed with diesel on reassembly

I'm surprised you didn't load up and head up to Hamburg to make some real $$$ moving that monster snow. I went up and did a little plowing with my v plow and let me tell you, that crap was wet and heavy. Happy turkey day
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Haha for real! My brother works for the town of Hamburg and he said there was snow to the bottom of the street signs when we was out plowing.. he said it’s the most amount of snow he’s ever plowed and it was the worst weather he has seen after 18 years of working/plowing for the state! I hope you managed ok up where you live, hopdully I’ll see you up at Norco Propane again sometime soon when I need to buy more steel or gas for my mig welder !
@abouttime5000 Жыл бұрын
One of the problems with small tractor plowing is where to put the next snow fall. The small tractor has limited height and pushing power ability to move the snow out of the way. A snow blower is the best option.

What does Diesel think of all the snow?

Diesel loved it! He was hopping around like a bunny rabbit in the stuff and burying his head in the snow sniffing around haha.. my nose woulda been numb! Haha thanks for watching Bill!

What size bx do you show in your videos?
@BiffsEquipment16 күн бұрын
Hey Brian! So I own a BX 2370.. it is a 2013 model but they didn’t change though the years much in the same series. The latest of this machine is a BX 2380.. so my tractor is one series older than the latest model. Hope this helps!

QUESTION...WHERE DID YOU GET THE CAB FOR THE BX?
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Hey Eric, the cab is from “Original Tractor Cab” Google that and you’ll be able to click on the first link that pops up on Google, from there you can select your brand tractor on their website and see which cab options they offer for your machine. These are by far the best cabs for the money no joke. They are cheap, yet extremely affective, and easy to remove and reinstall each spring and fall. I made an entire video series playlist of this cab and installing it, along with how to install all the upgrades I did to it.. I’ll post the link down below so you can check them out kzbin.info/aero/PLUhxbcpOclYlbDIGscjIUBT5lel_6hzf_

Hey man, I’m located about 45 min west of Buffalo NY.
@dhdb9728 Жыл бұрын
You sound like you’re from the MA Seacoast area. With all the snow, figured you were Buffalo region. I thought 45 min W of Buff was a lake…😅
@Pileits Жыл бұрын
You will find in short order that you need a snow blower on the front of that tractor. Buckets and blades just push snow into piles that quickly become hard and frozen like iron.
@maxball6388 Жыл бұрын
I have a front blower. Its useless in wet snow, so it becomes a snowpusher. Going back to my snowpusher next winter when I hopefully upsize my machine.
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Yes your correct the snow piles to get very firm after awhile specially when they start to melt on warmer days.. but that’s when you just take your bucket and break the piles up and push them back or move them around.. been doing it up here all my life so we are very use to moving large icy snow piles around all winter long. As for the snow blower I agree with Max.. the blowers work fantastic as I use one where I work.. we have a snow blower mounted to a 2038r that I do the sidewalks with and it works great but when the snow is this wet and heavy it tends to clog and break sheer pins a lot.. but for sidewalks it does a great job, but for more open areas I like my pushbox where there is room to push snow. Thanks for watching guys!
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
I love my snow pusher! It’s my favorite type of snow removal tool Iv used, and Iv used them all, hydraulic angle plows, snow blowers, and push boxes and buckets and all around for all conditions if I had to choose a single one of them and one only then it would be a pushbox every time .. my second best would be a snow blower tho for sure

where did you get your tractor cab from
@sixgun2719 Жыл бұрын
If you go back and watch his video's. He has a video for just about everything on his tractor. He even shows a new type of heater that he put in. His videos give a lot of good info that may help.
@ticklemeorange8328 Жыл бұрын
@@sixgun2719 It's an "Original Tractor Cab" brand cab.

Hey Jake, they are both correct, like SixGun said I have videos on just about everything I have done to my tractor including the cab install, talking about prices and showing how to install all the cab upgrades. Tickle me orange is also correct it’s a cab made by “original tractor cab” if you Google it their link will be the first or second one to pop up under the search.

Wow that snow is so heavy that the snow was pushing the snow. Great video. I have not watched in a while. Great to see the Man Garage coming along. I would like some snow here in SE Pennsylvania. I only have an old Cub but she plows half decent.
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Thanks Tom! Plowing can be a lot of fun but careful what you wish for, you might just get a big storm like us! Do you have a cab for your cub cadet? I know a few guys who have snow blowers on their cub cadets and they work really well. Stay safe out there and have a happy thanksgiving!
@tombyorn8278 Жыл бұрын
@@BiffsEquipment I do not have a cab. I was afraid if I got too much snow removal equipment it would never snow again ha ha. It's a Cub Cadet 1641 - even though it's from MTD and not IH it has been a fantastic tractor over the years. Thank you and have a great Thanksgiving as well.

Your tractor's sounding and looking a little tired. Maybe it's time for an upgrade. Like an LX3310. Some more weight, ponies, lift, and push along with bigger tires. Still a small compact design but way more performance.
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Hey man, sorry I’m only just now seeing your comment. A larger tractor would be great if I could afford it, I do plan to upgrade some day tho and when I do I plan on buying the brand new 2023 LX series as they changed a whole bunch of stuff on the original LX that I didn’t like including the skinny loader arms that seemed they could bend easier. If I don’t go with an LX I’ll prolly get a B2601 or something similar but for now the BX is still getting the job done and boy does she take a beating.. it’s incredible the amount of abuse Iv given this tractor and she just keeps on ticking. I’m waiting for something major to break so I CAN upgrade but the damn thing just won’t quit! Haha. That being said tho I truely do love the small compact size of the Bx and it’s a great size for most the side jobs I do so time will tell. Hope your staying safe and thanks for your comment!

How wide is your push box and how tall is it to the top of your cab?
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Hey Ted, so I believe I built it to be exactly 54” wide if I remember correctly. I made an entire build series on the pushbox cuz I fabricated it myself and I Believe I listed all the measurements/specs on those videos and why I chose to make it the size I made it. I’ll share the link below 👍🏻 kzbin.info/aero/PLUhxbcpOclYkS5Pzv0C20t5Z8VBL2VRul ^^ this is a playlist of all the things I have fabricated for my tractor.. there is a 3 part series of the push box that you’ll find in that link. Is your tractor a bx 2280 I have the same cab?
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
Hey Corey, no my Tractor is a BX2370 with a BX 2380 loader.. the cab is an “original tractor cab” made for a BX 2370.. the BX2380 uses the same cab bascislly only it has a few minor differences because of the loader joystick location that changed from the BX70 and earlier models to the newest BX80 models. It’s been a great cab and keeps me warm for an awesome price!

This engine is not made for such high rpm for so log time . You will detroy it soon. It look's you dont care for tractor much.
@BiffsEquipment Жыл бұрын
What do you mean? Such high RPM? I was running the engine at 2800-3000rpm which is the factory RPM.. where the engine is MADE to be run at.. running a Diesel engine at LOW rpm and working it hard is what can hurt these engines over time. Also I care very much for my tractor, it’s made me a ton of money but I also don’t baby it.. it’s a tractor, it’s made to be worked and worked hard and that’s exactly what I use it for. Just because many people baby their tractors and putt around going 2mph doesn’t mean they can’t be worked hard. Lastly the only reason iv been so behind on my maintenance is because I have an extremely busy life and havnt had a chance to go through it in awhile.. and the black smoke is there because I have modified the injection pump.. that’s why it smokes under a heavy load.. I did this because I plan to put a turbo on it some day.. but in the mean time it’s just gonna smoke a bit under load until the turbo kit I’m building for it is installed
